Extremely disappointed in discount tire. I have been a customer for years and I will not be back. I referred my elderly parents to this location which was my mistake. They broke a stud and lug nut!!!! Accidents happen but they sent them to a repair shop without verifying parts were available. They offered them 5% and the cost of the repairs. It's extremely disappointing and incredibly inconsiderate you've taken 5 hours of someone day which may not seem like much because you're getting paid but I'm sure you making more than $9.40/hr which was all their time was worth to you! I called and spoke with a manager to express the frustration that they would send them to another business without verification. I don't know what's going on with Discount Tire, but some things have changed, and I'm not sure they are for the better. Specifically, I was driving when I called this location to make my appointment, but the guy told me he couldn't make my appointment and that I would have to go online to do it. Honestly, this is such a turn off! I was driving when I called and by the time I got home I forgot, and a week went by before I remembered to do it on a computer. There's got to be a more "customer service" way to do this. We are VEGAS and we thrive on service. And frankly, Discount Tire has generally always been customer driven, but this is one area they are missing the mark. I would have loved to give 5 stars here. However, there were a couple touch points that could have been better once I actually got there. My welcome greeting was not stellar. There were 2 people in line ahead of me. There were 4-5 men at the front computers, 1 of which was assisting people in line. I've never understood this process though. Like, a company has customers standing, waiting for help and there are staff available, but "too busy"? Just not a great "welcome", ya know? Same with the checkout/pick up process... I stood there awkwardly being ignored while multiple staff kept their noses in computers. Additionally, I was told it would be an hour until my car was ready, so I left on foot to get some steps in, but then was notified 20 minutes early my car was ready. Cool! Love that my car was done early, but also? I was 15 minutes away, so had I been given a more accurate estimate, I could have been gone and on with my day sooner. Setting proper expectations is an important aspect to consider, especially when you know your customer isn't waiting in the waiting room. Generally speaking - I LOVE Discount Tire!!! I've been a customer since I turned 16 and started driving, and my parents have been customers for like 30 years. Unfortunately, this specific location really lost our respect today. The rear driver tire in my car had lower tire pressure, so I took the car to the Azure Drive Discount Tire, for them to take a look. Upon inspection, Matthew told me that he had good news and bad news. He had found where the leak was coming from but that it was in the "sidewall" of the tire and would not be able to be patched but would need a total replacement. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Never in any of this did he say there was a nail or screw, even after I asked, he said, "no there is a leak."[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Because tires are so expensive I called my husband to see what he wanted me to do. He decided for me to bring the car home so he could take a look. Upon my husband's inspection, he saw that there was a nail/screw in the tire right away, and that it was in the tread, not the "sidewall." [[HIGHLIGHT]]My husband called Matthew to clarify what he had written and Matthew said he wrote that there was a nail in the "shoulder" of the tire, and that he could have been mistaken, but that we could bring it back in for them to check.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] It was really shady because he changed what he said to me (no mention of a nail, and needing total replacement), when talking to my husband. Long story short. We took the tire to the RANCHO location and they were able to patch it up with absolutely no problem. Now instead of having to replace two tires (because, of course, you cant change one because the tred is just "too worn") for over $700 we were able to find a more honest location, and that, I'm thankful for. The misinformation could have been on purpose, or it could have been a mistake, but we will not be going back to this location again. read more

Let me start with saying I have used discount tire for many years and have recommended them to family members and friends and even hold a credit card currently. However over the years the service has declined at discount tire especially in the wheel balancing area. I'm not sure why but however I have to continually bring tires back to discount tire to have a rebalance done. Go in for a tire puncture fix and they'll pressure you to replace the tire instead, but of course they just can't replace that one tire. You have to replace them all on a AWD.
