As a person who knows basically nothing about cars, I am often skeptical about getting things done for my car. I always feel like the mechanics are trying to pull a fast one on me. But at discount tire they explained everything very clearly to me and didn't try to up-charge me. I got a great deal on 4 new tires (Cooper brand). I purchased a set of tires from here in December and bought the full coverage package. My air tire pressure signal came on twice in the past 2 weeks so I knew something was wrong with my wheel! I generally like the place EXCEPT for at least twice when I go in with a simple puncture in the middle of the tread and they induce me to BUY A NEW TIRE instead of fixing the simple puncture. I've let them proceed with the new tire but it's pretty dishonest IMO. read more

Had a great experience from start to finish. Called on Wednesday and talked to Luke. After telling him my tire specs he recommended a specific brand. He said he didn't have the tires at the store but would get them from the local warehouse. I scheduled an appt for Saturday afternoon. A few hours later he called and said the tires had arrived! Fast forward to Saturday - I arrived for my appt and was greeted by name. Coleman was very nice and helpful and said it would take less than an hour to install the two new tires even though they were very busy, because I had scheduled an appt. Only forty minutes later I was on my way with shiny new tires. Everyone was great and I'm very happy with the service! Will be going here in the future and recommending this location to everyone! Good customer service is a rarity these days. Not at the Roswell Road location, the management team and techs there are Tier 1, their customer service and quality of work is outstanding. I had to wait about 10 minutes to talk to someone but then he showed me all my options and he said he could have me ready in a maximum of 1.5 hours. Called a few places for pricing on tires, they by far had the best pricing. The guy was very helpful over the phone and explain the differences in tires and what would be best suited for me and the way that I travel. He set me up with an appointment and told me it would take no longer than an hour. I get there and I pay and it is the price they quoted me as well as it only took 25 minutes for them to change my tires and get me on my way. They were also very nice and explain that I do not need an alignment based on the way My tires were. Definitely my go to place for tires at least, and anything else if my dad weren't so handy. The store manager Luke always takes amazing care of me, and so does Stephen!!! They really go above and beyond by walking out to my car with an umbrella when it was raining, always being super clear on how much everything costs and the differences between everything. I'm a 20 year old girl and have never felt like they were up selling me or making me fix things that don't need fixing. They showed me the screen, and throughly walked me through all my tire options. Then I was walked, by Stephen, to my finished car (35 minutes) undetermined an umbrella!! I had a flat tire late yesterday afternoon, luckily i was at home and was able to put the spare on and worry about getting it fixed today. I called my normal shop to see if they could fit me in and they didnt have an opening until tomorrow, they also referred me to the new discount tire. I have used DT in the past but it has been years. I drove up was greeted by Brad who was very polite and came out to my car to get the tire. In about 20 mins my tire was fixed, back on my car, even put a new valve stem on it and there was no charge. I had been hesitant to go to Discount Tire because I was under the completely FALSE impression that they had been bought out by Mavis, much like just about every other tire shop around me. However, a local mechanic set me straight about that, explaining that there was even a lawsuit to stop Mavis from using "discount tire" as part of its name. Discount Tire remains independent and their service is absolutely fantastic. I took my car in today, without an appointment, to have a screw removed from my tire. The staff working there is extremely helpful and polite, despite the fact that they were incredibly busy. They were able to squeeze me in between appointments and didn't charge me a thing for the repair and balance. Ever since NTB was bought by Mavis, I've been looking for a new local tire place. I purchased four new tires 5 weeks ago. Two days later the tire pressure light came on. After FIVE trips to Discount tire (they would check the pressure and reset the light) I finally argued with the manager that the tires were defective. He told me to take it to the dealership. One of the techs there finally realized that I had been sold tire sensors in every tire and my car doesn't have that kind of system. They removed the sensors and for two weeks now pressure warning. Today, the warning came back on again. I explained to the tech today that my tire warning light had never come on before I purchased their tires. They told me I'd have to take it to the dealership. I came here because I had a screw in my tire. When I pulled in they were nice and on time with my scheduled appointment. I went in to get one tire changed that had the screw in it. Upon further inspection, they found my other tire needed to be changed too because the thread was showing and the tire could have popped at any moment . They did not have another tire of the one that I was initially getting so they put another brand on for me until the one I wanted came in the next day. You just don't see gestures like that anymore.
