My boyfriend and I were looking for a dog friendly place to have a late lunch and were excited to see that this location had both outdoor seating and is dog friendly. The food at dish n dash and the service is almost always impeccable. It's quick and delicious and relatively affordable. We got a field of greens juice and a chicken shawarma plate to share. The food itself was great but we were told that dogs aren't actually allowed and the outdoor seating doesn't really exist. We opted to eat at the bench outside the restaurant but would have definitely gone somewhere else had we known before. The owner actually found us and let us know that the enclosed patio area is meant to be the outdoor area and dogs should be allowed to be in the area! This was amazing to hear! I can't put my finger on it but it had a certain aroma when I walked in, but it wasn't good cooking. It was like a scent from a spa, but it wasn't off putting, it made me feel like this place was clean... From this one visit. Everyone was friendly, so no complaints there. My sister only ever has the Beriani Dajaj, so that's what I went with and my girlfriend got the salad. The food did take a little while to get, but it was still hot when we got it back home. My girlfriend liked the salad and the Beriani Dajaj was also good, it was just the right amount of richness in the sauce. I would come back to try other items based off this one visit. I would say it's a tad bit pricey, but not knocking it on that. Food took a little long for 3 entrees for takeout, but not really going to knock that either since the food and service was good. Very impressed! We haven't been to Dish n Dash since they were at their smaller location across the street. Needless to say they have made a HUGE upgrade in overall restaurant design and atmosphere. This new location is beautiful, modern, and designed with lovely artistic pieces all around the restaurant. They even upgraded to classic laminated book menus (instead of the previous paper menus). The menus are brand new, professional, and shiny! It feels like a completely different restaurant yet with the same amazingly DELICIOUS food items. We ordered the Lamb Swarma above rice with fries and pita + hummus. The food is just as great as always! The food here is always hot, fresh, and DELICIOUS. The combination of flavors compliment each other so well. We especially love to add the green mint mix sauce (forgetting the name currently) but highly recommend with the lamb and rice. Absolute *heart eyes*! lol. For drinks we got the mint leaf lemonade it was so tasty and refreshing! The food here is not only delicious but it is a great value for the portion size that you receive. My bf and I both were full and had enough food left over for another small meal later on. The staff was so nice, welcoming, and patient. We made our order, found a table (a super cute round booth!) and waited with our number buzzer and drinks. While waiting for the buzzer to go off, we had a nice man deliver our food to our table. Wow! That's different. The previous location was self serve only, where you pick up your own order but we really love the upgrade to table service so thank you! (: The food came out super fast! It was ready within 5-10 minutes. While we waited we took a look around at all of the beautiful restaurant decor and watched soccer on one large TV and the X-Games on another. I usually order takeout from here, but it's been a long time since I've dined in! The Milpitas location is large- has a ton of seating and even has a fireplace area inside. You order at the front, then they bring food your food out to you. I got the ground lamb & beef kebab with fries and hummus over rice. The meat here is super tender and has a lot of flavor, I like how the kebab dishes also come with grilled veggies. The fries & hummus weren't anything too special, but I also tried the falafel which I would order again. The rice also has lime juice or something similar mixed into it, which pairs really well with the meat. The portions here are pretty generous, but it's a medium/high price point as well (~$17-19) average for meat entrees. This place always satisfies my craving for Middle Eastern food! read more

Its Basmati rice with almonds and tender lamb chunks rounding the rice topped with a delcious yellow yogurt sauce. ITS TO DIE FOR. Its savory, a teeny bit tart, the rice is fragrant and the lamb is SOOOO TENDER, add a bit of texture from the almond slices, ERMAGERD i want another plate... my mouth is watering writing this.... Like the Kebab shop, they have other sauces like a cilantro lime sauce, a yogurt sauce, but the one you order, is the garlic sauce, It livens up EVERYTHING. Got here right when they opened and they seemed very unorganized. They also had a staff meeting which I could hear but idk why they don't do that before opening. Food however was so good!! Yum! We got 3 entrees for our family of 4 (2 kids 2 adults) and it was just the right quantity. We ordered the Mansaf (stewed lamb in yogurt), chicken shawarma salad, and a kabob plate. Each dish was full of spices and each tasted so different from another. I loved the Mansaf the most, super tender and the rice was wonderful with the sauce. For the sides, we tried babaganoush (eggplant), hummus, and lentil soup. Ambiance is kind of modern and cool looking. I would think this place could be appropriate for all kinds of occasions. I've heard a lot of good things about Dish n Dash, so we decided to try it for Saturday takeout dinner. Here's the things that I tried out of the three orders we put in: Hummus: It was quite good, wish there was even more of it. Pita: It was alright, pretty plain, nothing particularly remarkable. Pita chips: I loved these, they're very flavorful and had za'atar on them. In my opinion, it helps the plainer foods like edamame, rice, pita, or freekeh if you add some of the pita chips to it. Edamame corn salsa: It was okay, I'm not a big fan of edamame but I didn't find it unpleasant. Falafel: These were pretty good too, they're on the crispier side at least on the outside. Taboli: I'm not a fan of it personally, so probably my least favorite of everything I tried. Freekeh: It tasted very similar to brown rice to me, the texture seemed similar too. I met up with my former colleagues for our monthly lunch and decided on Dish N Dash in Milpitas. It had a very nice ambiance and was very clean. The noise level was next to none. First, you'll need to figure out what you want before going to the cashier since there isn't a menu there. (The menus are right there when you walk in.) You receive a puck that lights up when your food is ready. Whatever you call those things! LOL I ordered chicken shawarma with babaganoush and salad as the two sides. Delicious! We got in a little before noon and the line was already pretty long, but it moved fast. We placed our orders and sat down to wait for the food. As we waited, moser people came in to sit down. Difference is dishdash is a sit down restaurant where order is taken at your table. While dish n dash is self serve, pay up and pickup when buzzer rings the food is ready. You have to occasionally buss your own dishes and get sauces. Food is similar to any other location dish n dash and always good. Milpitas has some additional items and drinks from dishdash menu as it was before. Portion size is huge when in person and all the dips are amazing to try. Togo plates are smaller. The most authentic Middle Eastern food you'll find that's SO family friendly! I first had Dish N Dash through UberEats, and it was delicious. But I wanted to try this place out in person. The Milpitas location is open til 9pm on Sunday, which was a major plus! I arrived with my mom just before closing (~8:15pm) and the restaurant staff were still so kind and welcoming. As far as the ambiance -- the establishment was rather dim/dark, which I'm not a huge fan of. Still, I liked the order set-up -- customers order at a cashier section right by a pick-up area for to-go orders. Once you order, you're given a buzzer while you choose seating (it's open seating). The food was incredibly fresh, served hot and so neat! The kebabs were juicy and seasoned to a T. The hummus was rightly thick with olive oil. The tabouli was gorgeously green and so fresh -- not too much lemon! The lentil soup is served with zaatar fried pita chips -- *chef's kiss*. The flavor is insane (!!). Love dishndash! This place is such a great place for large group gatherings since there is plenty seating and parking available. You first go up to order your food, then they will give you a buzzer to let you know that your food is ready. It's completely open seating and you can choose wherever you want to sit. Food is delicious. The chicken beriani dajaj with rice is one of my favorite dishes. It's creamy and has a nice kick of crunch from the almonds and burst of flavor from the raisins. Delicious! The freekeh was delicious with the perfect texture and taste. - HUMMUS: So smooth, with ton of chickpea flavor and dressed with olive oil. - PULLED SUMAC CHICKEN PITA: The sumac is definitely tangy, especially paired with their pickles! I liked the flavor but the pita fell apart pretty quickly. - FALAFEL: Crunchy on the outside, soft and herbaceous inside. This is one of my favorite falafels. Eat them while they're still hot! - BAKLAVA: A bit softer than I expected but I ate it hours later. I liked that it wasn't overly sweet though! Despite being busy, there is ample seating indoors and outdoors. The dining format is fast casual: ordering is at the door, food and drinks are picked up at the counter with a buzzer, and seating is self seating. I ordered a chicken wrap with sides of falafel and pomegranate, eggplant, walnut salad. Pita bread seems to also be included though could also be selected as a side. This was plenty of food for lunch and I easily could have had leftovers if I didn't decide to stuff myself. The food wasn't outstanding in anyway; it was a very solid tasting meal with no surprises, well priced and portioned. The falafel was nice and crunchy on the outside. Amazing mediterranean place with insane customizability and fairly priced food. The mediterranean food menu here is very expansive with a huge selection so you can customize it to your liking. Middle East food has never been tastier! Between the table service from an attentive staff and the excellent cuisine, we felt like we were really somewhere fancy. This is an "order at the window" place but the seating is very nice with booths or tables available. The food was perfect. A warm fire cracked right around the bend from where we sat to dine.
