Steaks(especially the Delmonico) are tough mid-grade, and even with a sharp knife they fight you. Pork chop was small, more tender than the Del, but still not very tender, and was thin and a little dry. Steaks and pork chops are ridiculously overpriced, would recommend avoiding all beef and pork here. The waitstaff were very friendly and attentive, but who cares when you're getting overcharged for garbage food that is à la carte. If I do ever go back I will try the scallops, but I am anticipating that they will be poor quality as well.....so I highly recommend patronizing a much lower-priced local restaurant that serves real quality food at fair prices. read more

I started with a cup of the chicken soup which was very hearty and delicious. My lunch entree was the chicken piccata with extra vegetables. I'm going to be honest - I slept on Ditka's, but quickly found out it's a great place for dinner. The menu is great, the wine list is extensive, and the service is good. I will say that sometimes they move a little too fast and slip up (e.g. brining someone else's food to the table, taking a plate off the table before someone is done), but those are small errors that can be fixed with a bit more attention to detail. Overall, I'd recommend this place for family occasions and celebrations if you want a great dinner. Note to the business: please implement contactless ways to pay with Apple Pay. My Beautiful Mother said this is her favorite steakhouse in the Oakbrook area so I obviously had to take her there for dinner during my last trip back to Sweet Home Chicago. This was hands down the best meal during my trip and I had a lot of great food! I love the classy yet cozy ambiance of the dining room. The bar also looked like it would be fun to hang out at. The drinks were solid and the service was nothing short of superb from Gato. Everything we had was extremely delicious: Oven Fired Bread, Caesar Salad, and the Bone-In Ribeye with Roasted Brussel Sprouts. We came here as a spur of the moment change of mind because I already had reservations to see the tour of Mamma Mia, and dinner. Second year in a row that I spend my turkey day at Ditkas. Excellent service, Turkey and all the fixings were absolutely delicious. The turkey day feast includes your choice of soup, I went with the Butternut squash, a salad, I chose the Ditka salad, turkey with mashed potatoes, mashed sweet potatoes, stuffing , cranberry sauce and a side of green beans and carrots. We had our annual holiday Christmas party for our Elevator Company this past Saturday evening. We chose Ditka's because a lot of our employees voted on a good Chicago steakhouse, and this was the perfect place between us all. The food was ABSOLUTELY amazing. I don't think I have had better oysters in my life and some of our guys had never had steak that good in their lives! I had the Filet (medium rare) and it was top 3 I've had so far. The coconut shrimp, the chicken Picatta, everything food wise was AMAZING. The private Landry room we had was amazing as well. Came with a private bar and Bluetooth speakers to put our music on. The whole evening was nice for what it was I believe our employees had a great time. 4 STARS FOR THIS it was a blast, and we had a great time just was uncomfortable about the ending. The bartender was absolutely fantastic, but we felt like there could have been more drinks taken and served to the tables instead of us getting up during our meals and going to the bar to get a drink. Dessert was not had by everyone as well and I don't think all tables even saw a menu for dessert. I know I questioned where the creme brule came from at the end of the night, but it was too late to put an order in. Both these would have increased the bill which helps both us and the restaurant. I personally was incredibly uncomfortable at the end of the night when we were signing our bill. we were talking amongst ourselves on the tip and it appeared our server did not like the tip and made it seem like he thought he was going to get more than we wrote Which was 15% which is pretty fair amongst the service industry Just wasnt expecting the response or gesture. Oops -can't believe it's been 9 years! However, I used to live very far north. Now, Oakbrook is a short 15 min west of me. Came here for a date night with my husband. The food was absolutely delicious and worth every penny. We ordered the scallops and 'kick ass paddle steak'. Both were cooked to perfection! Nice steak place out in Oakbrook, and while you won't confuse the Oakbrook location (3 stars) with Ditka's downtown Chicago (5 stars) it was still a nice meal. First and foremost, the service from bartenders to reception to waitstaff were all 5 star. The people here are very nice and the place is appropriate for casual or dressed up - as you like it ... although you'll feel a bit out of place if you show up in shorts. Now to the food. As a general comment on the food - it was good but had been prepared with just a bit of a heavy hand. For example, the shrimp were done just a bit too long and therefore were a bit chewy - still good but could have been better. We started with the Happy Hour Coconut Shrimp (3 star - but with a nice taste and a wonderful Bang Bang sauce underneath with a basil oil splash). For dinner we had the lobster tail (3 star good but a bit chewy), the prime rib (4 star nice, cooked perfectly, and the hit of the night) and the double pork chop (2 star fair cooked/warmed way too long making it dry and crispy and hard on the outside). Sides of whipped potatoes (5 stars) and herbed rice (3 star funky taste with too many flavors going on) finished the table. We finished with their signature banana cream pie (3 star ok) - which just didn't hold up to the 5 star offering we had at the downtown Chicago location. This pie was not very creamy at all and was a bit on the dry/stale side. This offering just tasted as if it had been frozen and defrosted before serving ... maybe just shy of being defrosted long enough. It was ok. Drinks all around were very nice, with the exception of a too tart Margarita. Very nice wine selection - by the bottle or the glass ... and half-priced bottles on Fridays. Even the house Cabernet Sauvignon was very nice. The room around the bar had loads of TVs and made for a nice stop for drinks and meeting up before going out for the night. The formal dining room outside the bar was nice and romantic for those staying in. Since the restaurant also has complimentary valet parking, you get off to a good start - but there is park yourself available nearby. All-in-all we had a good time, but we'll head downtown Chicago for our next Ditka's feast. read more

Pork chop is still to die for, filet was as good as any prime 8oz. will be in Chicago, but the chicken parm was unexpectedly delicious and tasted homemade (served with gnocchi, wilted spinach and fresh mushrooms...yum). From the fresh made signature drinks (smash berry martini and a margarita) to the appetizers (fresh hot bread and the famous pot roast nachos), it was a great dinner. Quality without to breaking the bank and so nice to be treated so well. Almost makes one forget we are still in the midst of a pandemic. First I want to say that they treated us incredibly well, the waiters and the bartender. We were a fairly large group but still managed to keep us hydrated with drinks coming in every few minutes and kept checking in on us to make sure everything tasted well, etc. I decided on "Da Porkchops" and boy did I decide right. The pork chops were tender, cooked perfectly and the cherry sauce they had all over it was to die for. Absolutely incredible. They started it all off with a salad. The salad had bacon on it, blue cheese, and small tomatoes and it was also very very good. Came back for Christmas Eve and had the Oysters Rockefeller which we very good slathered in creamed spinach. The bread was an order and not complimentary, which I thought was weird. I can't remember how it was last time but I don't think we had to pay for the bread. We ordered the filet duo and the Berkshire porkchop. The mashed potatoes were very flavorful but the lobster mac & cheese was a little watery. Overall an OK meal but nothing to write home about and I wouldn't rush to come back. I've always had a good time at this location. And if you are ever looking for a really good pork chop, look no further, it's their specialty. The double cut pork chop comes with a cherry sauce, apple slices, and a mashed sweet potato that is just amazing. The sauce is the perfect accompaniment to the entire dish. Drinks are always spot on here. I had the old fashioned, swapped out the bourbon for rye, and it was excellent. Service is spot on as well. If you want a good appetizer, get the pot roast nachos. If you have not had lunch at Ditka's , it's time you did! First off, you have a choice of where to sit. They have a rather large dining area, however I would ask to be seated in the bar area. Their cocktails are well made. I had a Boulvadier, which is a whiskey based negroni. It was well prepared and I have to admit we did another round. I chose the Ditka's pork chop for lunch. It is half the size of their dinner portion which is very generous and it is served with a sweet potato mash. The dining room bustles at lunch time and the noise level is a tad high. The menu and food have gotten better since my last visit to a Ditka's a couples of years ago. They told us breakfast was available so long as we were seated by 1pm. If you are in the mood for steak, you can ask to see the Lunch Steaks menu. The combo was a good deal for lunch where you can select half a sandwich and a soup or salad for $11. I went with the Rueben and soup combo. The sandwich was good with just the right amount of ingredients. The soup of the day was a delicious crab bisque and the combo was very filling for lunch. The decor is upscale and the service is great. There's complimentary valet parking, which might be your best bet if the limited spots out front is taken and you don't want to park in the garage. There was constructions going in the parking garage and I didn't quite know where to park, but my car was still there when I returned. We went to Ditka's for my birthday. I wanted to try a classic steakhouse joint and this fit the bill. It definitely has an old school style which I liked and the ambiance was intimate. We went at 5:30 on a Saturday and there was barely anyone there. Our waiter was extremely friendly. It felt like we were old friends by the end of our dinner. Also, he was very attentive and brought our food out promptly. The food was very good too. For our appetizer, we ordered the coconut shrimp. It was absolutely delicious. The shrimp was perfectly paired with the sweetness of the coconut and the bang bang dipping sauce was just the right additive to bring all the flavors together. For my entree I ordered the double-cut Berkshire Pork Chop. It was pretty big and I wasn't able to finish it all, but boy was it yummy. The apple chutney and cherry jus added a brightness to the salty meat. The mashed potatoes were creamy and rich. Everything went together perfectly. My husband ordered the New York Strip. He thought his food was delicious as well. The steak was cooked just the way he liked it. He wasn't a huge fan of the mushrooms, but if you like mushroom , you will probably like it. The side of mushrooms was delicious. The salads were more than generous and yummy. We live nearby and forget how good this place really is. Dinka's has been in Oak Brook a long time and weathered through tough times during Covid.
