We made dinner reservations here for Thanksgiving Day. We waited at the bar area for about 10 minutes while we wait for our table to be ready. Once we were seated, our server and the rest of the staff were pleasant and efficient. The a la carte menu is still available to customers but we chose to have the Thanksgiving dinner package. This includes: BUTTERNUT OR MINESTRONE soup, SALAD, a platter of TURKEY BREAST, MASHED POTATO, SWEET POTATO YAM, STUFFING, VEGETABLES, and CRANBERRY SAUCE. There are 3 choices for dessert, we picked PECAN PIE and FLOURLESS CHOCOLATE CAKE. Everything was delicious and even though the place was super busy that evening, all the dishes were served warm and there was no long wait. Our cocktails were also prepared well. The place is clean, the service is great, and the food is satisfying. Parking can be challenging on a busy night but they also have valet available. I will come back to try the dishes from their regular menu, I'm sure they're also good. This is a great choice to have a holiday meal, without spending many hours in the kitchen :) 'Til next time!

Went recently and the service and food were back to expectations. The ribeye was amazing and my family loved the seafood tower. My son got some sort of lobster risotto and he said it was amazing. The only issue is it seems when I go my first steak comes out medium vs medium rare. But they fired up a second one and it was great.

Great atmosphere. Service was superb. Both waiters made sure we were well taken care of. Had the twin filet and crab cake. Didn't need a knife to cut the steaks. They cut easy with a fork and melted in my mouth as I ate it

Went for dinner and the service was great. We shared the bread starter which you have to order as an appetizer off the menu. That usually rubs me the wrong way, but the bread was amazing and served with a small side of marinated olives. I had the fish & chips - it came with 5 filets! The waffle fries were good but the fish was even better & you could tell they definitely weren't frozen. For dessert, the buuyer pecan ice cream which was served with a Carmel sauce drizzle and extra pecans. Wow! Molto bello!!

We love visiting Ditka's for family meals during the big holidays, including Thanksgiving and birthdays! We are a steak family through and through and we are never disappointed. We typically order sides for the table to share and it works out well. We do 3-4 sides for six people! It's a large space but it can get a little noisy. As it is Ditka's, the decor is sport themed, but I work in sport business and my siblings are all athletes so we love it as a family! It's a little dark so you may need to bust out the iPhone light. I will say that it is a little pricier for the value and portion sizes. Parking is also a little confusing but doable.

This visit was my second visit to Ditka's. My first visit was for my engagement party. We had a party of 20. We got a private room. They treated us like kings and queens. The bartender poured both of my father's drinks so heavy that they warmed up to each other immediately! LOL! This second visit was to celebrate Valentine's Day with my forever Valentine. The first table they gave us was too busy, so we asked for a booth. Without hesitation, they accommodated our request. The ambiance is spot on. The food is as good (and expensive) as you'd expect. But I keep coming back because the service is stellar!

Me and my husband were visiting Chicago to see a football game from California. This was a must stop for us as we are huge Chicago Bears fans. We had made reservations well in advance. When we arrived, the hostess told us there would be a short wait, but she told the same thing to the person ahead of us who did not have any reservations. I'm used to being sat right away when I make a reservation. The atmosphere was giving me a nicer Denny's with some football pictures. It was a bit underwhelming. I was hoping they'd have some memorabilia. We decided to start with the stuffed peppers and I would say those were the highlight of our meal. My husband went for the waffles, which were giving me ego vibes. He was underwhelmed by them also. I went for the Mike's salad and I added fillet. The salad was $14 but the fillet was an additional $17. I'll post a picture of the salad. I definitely wouldn't go back to this restaurant but I guess if you're a huge Chicago bears fan you should go but don't have high expectations. We did enjoy our server who was very friendly and we appreciated his recommendations.

Honestly, if you're on here looking for reviews of Ditka's, stop - just go. From premium service to exceptional food, you will not be disappointed. If you favor high quality meals and experiences you will thoroughly enjoy this restaurant. I have frequented Ditka's many a many times throughout the years and one thing they do best is consistency.

The service was great, by far better than the food. I expected a bit more but was slightly disappointed by the overall dishes.

Spring Rd. Gibsons has long been known as a go-to for a slightly upscale steakhouse experience in the suburbs. I hadn't been in years, but we were in the area and decided to go somewhere a bit nicer for dinner to celebrate my birthday, so we gave Gibsons another try. One highlight was the complimentary valet service, it was quick, easy, and very efficient. The restaurant was busy with lots of families and celebrations. The interior has a classic, almost mob-era steakhouse vibe, reminiscent of old-school 1930s-40s Italian-American dining rooms. Service was friendly and accommodating throughout the night. I ordered an Old Fashioned, and for my entrée I had a ribeye with a side of potatoes and broccoli. My friend ordered a filet mignon salad. We also shared a side salad. The food was solid overall, but the salads were a bit watery, and the ranch dressing was just okay. The steak was good, but not quite the standout I expected given the price point, ribs are close to $70, so expectations are understandably high. Everything felt consistent, but not particularly memorable. That said, Gibsons does feel very steady and familiar, which may be part of its appeal. It's the kind of place people return to because they know exactly what they're going to get. Even the bread was fine, but nothing really stood out as exceptional. One of the more memorable (and amusing) parts of the experience was the birthday tradition. I still can't fully make out what they're saying during the birthday song, it's loud, a bit barked, and honestly both funny and slightly intimidating. I can't decide if I love it or would be terrified by it as a kid. There was also an interesting moment with dessert, my ice cream was placed in a plastic bag inside a box of ice. Creative, but not exactly elegant. I definitely didn't eat it, but it was memorable in its own way. Overall, if you're looking for a consistent, classic steakhouse experience that leans more familiar than elevated, Gibsons fits that role. 3.5 out of 5 stars.

Hubby had the sautéed mushrooms with a filet, which was cooked perfectly and very tasty.

I immediately stopped, spit everything out, and searched through the burger where I found a piece of wood. When I showed this to the waitress, she simply said sorry and had no explanation for how it got there. She offered either to speak to a manager or remake the burger, so I chose a remake. They brought out complimentary soup while I waited, and the second burger arrived without any toothpick. However, at the end of the night I was shocked that the waitress did not comp the burger despite the serious safety incident. This could have resulted in dental damage, mouth lacerations, or internal bleeding. The restaurant showed zero accountability or genuine concern for my well being. I used to visit every couple of months in every year, but after this experience I will not be returning. This is completely unacceptable. Also, even the cheese cakes are shrinking and the one I got was half of what it was last year. The place is spiralling into sad state of what used to be a place I really loved to go to.

I went for my friend's birthday dinner, and we left completely satisfied with both the food and drinks. FOOD: We started with the prosciutto board, which was good but nothing especially memorable -- more of a classic charcuterie board. For our entrées, we ordered the lobster roll and the shaved ribeye dip, and both were excellent. I highly recommend them. We ended the night with four desserts, and every single one was delicious, especially the banana split. It wasn't your typical banana split sundae -- the caramelized banana gave it a rich, flavorful twist that made it unique and unforgettable. DRINKS: I started with the Rosé Spritz while everyone else ordered different cocktails. After trying mine, we all loved it so much that we ordered the same drink for the second round. It's not overly strong and has a slightly tart flavor, but it ended up being one of my favorite cocktails ever. I'll definitely order it again. As we ordered drinks, he asked only my daughter (33 years old) and my niece (39 years old) for identification. My niece explained that she had her ID available digitally on her phone. Casper said he needed a physical ID but would check with a manager to see if the digital version could be accepted. After speaking with management, he returned and informed us that a digital ID would not be accepted. He explained that the restaurant's policy required physical IDs from anyone who appeared to be 30 years old or younger. When we expressed our frustration and said we would not be dining there because of this policy, he showed no concern and offered no apology. We were curious about a random age requirement if the server thought you "looked" 30 or younger although the legal drinking age in Illinois is 21. Before leaving, we asked to speak with a manager. Ryan, the manager, met us at the door, and we explained that we were disappointed that our niece could not order a drink despite having a valid digital ID. Rather than addressing our concern, he compared the situation to him being carded at liquor stores. We pointed out that this was a restaurant, not a liquor store, and that the policy appeared to be applied selectively based exclusively on the server's judgment. Ryan offered no apology and referred us to the General Manager. When Christa, the General Manager, joined us, we asked why the restaurant used a 30-year-old threshold when the legal drinking age in Illinois is 21. She initially stated that the policy was to request IDs from all guests ordering alcohol. I explained that only my daughter and niece had been asked for IDs. She then revised her explanation, saying that servers request IDs from anyone who appears younger than 30, making the policy exclusively dependent on the server's judgment. We also pointed out that we observed a nearby table of younger-looking guests had been served alcoholic beverages, but their server did not ask for their IDs. Christa questioned our observation. What was most disappointing was that neither Ryan nor Christa apologized for the inconvenience or acknowledged our concerns. As first-time guests, we left feeling frustrated and unwelcome. Unfortunately, this experience has ensured that we will not be dining at Perry's in Oakbrook again and has left a bad impression of Perry's management team, in general. If I could rate them a "no stars," I would.
