Absolutely delicious from start to finish. The vibe was everything -- low lighting, live music, and that perfect cozy-but-elevated energy that makes you want to stay awhile. I ordered the seared scallops with mashed potatoes and asparagus, paired with a glass of Moscato. The scallops were cooked beautifully -- tender with a perfect sear -- and everything on the plate complemented each other so well. Beautiful day in WDC! A 5 hr car ride from Summit!) Went to Divinos Rest late - about 9:30. We were looking forward to share a bite together. Divinos conveniently attached to our Hotel, Glover House. Maybe 5:/6 people at the bar. We sat at these high table- almost stool like. But when we sat down, the chairs were so low we felt like kindergartners! We ordered personal pizza w mushroom on flat bread. They brought the pizza. Asked if they cud give us the bill, they were closing at 10pm. (Kitchen).. They served pizza (timely) on.a high stand.. (So we're sitting low w pizza above us). They dropped it off & never gave us plates. Pizza was "eh", very cheesy (ok) perfect lot cooked mushroom & arugulas scattered on top. Nice! But it turned out to be really dry. They must've been on a skeleton crew so service was just ok. (Waited for silverware too?) $16 pizza, 2 slice each. From the - higher table section we had ordered unsweetened tea, and 2 shots, $17 - not a heavy pour. Parking was strange, shared space w hotel making it very limited & often busy. Plus your view from the restaurant was to look out to cars, eh. About their service - I think bc cuz they didn't have a lot of servers, I'd like to think to give them a 2nd chance for a better rating. My friend and I got dinner at Divino last Friday to celebrate her 30th. It's inside the Glover Hotel with complimentary parking in the garage on promise. The two of us were able to try an appetizer and two of their pasta options. The service was fast and efficient, and the food came out pretty quickly. BUTTERNUT SQUASH SOUP - 14 We each got our own butternut squash since it would've been hard to share. The portion was pretty small. We expected a bright dandelion orange color for the soup, but it was closer to a burnt-orange brown. The flavors were more savory than sweet, containing bits of crispy prosciutto. Not necessarily bad, but we didn't love Divino's version of butternut squash. LINGUINE FRUITTI DI MARE - 28 We noticed there were only two pieces of shrimp in each portion, which is a bit stingy. There were a good amount of other seafood varieties. Overall, the sauce was pretty seafood-forward and flavorful. The texture of the pasta was nicely chewy and picked up the sauce well. This was our favorite out of three, but even then, it wasn't anything special. HOUSE MADE TAGLIATELLE BOLOGNESE - 25 The tagliatelle was a bit to overcooked (~30 secons or so) and it got boring after a few bites. It was rich, but flavors were bland. Overall, this was just OK -- disappointing for a restaurant. Since we were celebrating my friend's birthday, our server brought out a tiramisu for us to share. Lots of layers! It was a bit too sweet for our taste, but we still enjoyed it. Overall, our experience for food was pretty average. I was in DC for a work meeting and our hosts decided to take us here since they had such a great time at last year's dinner. My friend raved about their salad so we definitely had to get that a well as other appetizers to share. The burrata was served with beets which was an unusual pairing but it actually worked well together. The meatballs were delicious and I ended up eating them with the bread. I got the squid ink pasta and that was tasty but I did wish I got what some of the other ladies got. My mocktail was delicious and complemented the dinner. Went on Valentine's Day for dinner and really enjoyed this place! They were obviously busy and so they we're running late, but so was I so it worked out. We had a table for four even though there were only two of us. The had a prefix menu, so we got the seafood plater for two, both had squid ink pasta, and got different desserts. We also both got a saffron-infused tequila drink with lemon, lemon grass, and suze (I don't recall the name of it). Seafood plater: delicious! Oysters, shrimp, caviar crackers, and scallop crudo. Squid ink pasta: Divine! It had calamari, clams and a perfect balance of sauce Strawberry tiramisu: so good! Had fresh strawberries in it and the layers were a perfect balance Drinks: I liked the first one better than the Bellagio, but both were good! In a word: Yum. I understand this restaurant has been open for about 10 months. What a treasure. We were with a large party on a night there was a party of about 100 in the other dining room. We had a set menu in order to make things easy for our party and the staff. The authentic Italian food is lovely. Plating is very important to the staff. The restaurant is located inside the Glover Hotel. Parking is tricky. The garage entrance is hidden. If you see an Enterprise car return sign, you are at the correct entrance. We were given a garage code from the restaurant. Parking is free at the restaurant. The hotel charges $10.00. We followed the entrance to the spa from the garage and found our way to the restaurant. It is a bit confusing. The bread baskets are okay. The Caprese Salad was good. It is a nice Italian dish. The Baby Assorted Lettuce is much heartier. The Trofie Pesto Pasta was incredible. The sauce could be a milkshake. It was delicious. The tomato sauce is yummy too. It had artichoke in it. Hubby enjoyed the Roasted Chicken. The Squash & Zucchini was fresh and excellent. The Sorbetto was good. The lemon flavor was the best. The Cannoli is better at Il Canale but it is decent. The restaurant is lovely. The servers are nice. When there are large parties, they are stretched thin. The restrooms have cellphone holders in the stalls. I want to return for Tuesday music night. It is worth a visit. Summer Restaurant Week Review First, I'd like to give special acknowledgment to the staff: Ana, our incredible waitress did a great job supporting us while managing other tables. She was kind, offered great recommendations, and had a good sense of social media trends tied to the restaurant favorites. Love that! They opened their doors in November 2024 and this place simply needs more support because their food and cocktails are INCREDIBLE! Let's dive in! Cocktails: Divino spritzer: this is a summer win! The fresh fruits, prosecco, and flavors were everything that you need to imagine being on the beach with the sun shining and a refreshing drink in hand, truly enjoyable. Truffle Vesper: have you ever had truffle infused vodka and gin? Well, not only did you taste it in every sip, but the aroma whisked you away. It was fantastic! Starters: We selected the Heirloom Tomatoes Salad: best described as a trip to Nana's garden. A place where you could smell all of the fresh herbs as they lingered throughout the air. These tomatoes were juicy and they were complimented by fresh basil, a delicious and creamy whipped ricotta, a side of fresh corn, and drizzled with a balsamic vinaigrette. A perfect way to tease my tastebuds. Second: For our main dish, I ordered the Filetto di Branzino and my love ordered the Chicken Milanese. The Branzino was prepared with love!!!! It was so delectable and paired with the most appetizing cauliflower puree and broccolini. All prepared just right, this meal was filling and enticing because the flavors blended together well. My boyfriend thoroughly enjoyed his chicken Milanese. The chicken was tender and oozing with flavor and the salad had a perfect combination of fresh thinly sliced vegetables bathed in a tangy dressing. It was amazing! Lastly: After such a filing first and second course, we pushed our way through dessert and I'm glad that we did. The Mango Pannacotta was described as the BEST my boyfriend has ever had. A first for me, and one I can describe as a journey through flavor valley: the rich passion fruit rum caramel, and the delicious filling and crust-pure perfection!!!!!!! We also had the tiramisu which was simply delightful and satisfying. Highly recommended as well. Overall, we had an AMAZING time and the food, cocktails, and desserts were well worth every moment. Went here for date night and as other reviewers mentioned, the actual restaurant is in a small hotel on Wisconsin Avenue. They also have an outdoor section that looked really cute and happening, but it was too hot that day to sit outside. The inside restaurant is very pretty and was pretty empty for a Saturday night. The service was a bit slow to get started and we ordered two cocktails and both were good although mine was a bit on the sweet side (gin/prosecco one). We started with the burrata and it was very good and served with beets. I had the sea bass for dinner and it was small but beautifully presented and very good. My hubby had the eggplant dish and said it was average. We ended with the chocolate and mango Panna cotta and it was just ok. In my opinion, those 2 flavors don't go well together. I got the Capesante with asparagus and mashed potatoes with prosciutto, and my date got the tagliatelle. I also got the sorbet and they gave us a complimentary drink. I had been dying to check out Divino in Georgetown, especially since they've been advertising live jazz music for the past three weeks. I had the opportunity to visit yesterday and I still can't get over how wonderful the experience was. The live jazz music starts at 7:30 PM on Tuesdays and goes until 10:30 PM. It's such a refreshing find--a place in Georgetown where parking is easy! It's closer to the residential side of Georgetown, yet it's in a lovely and convenient location within a hotel. Divino offers outdoor seating, bar seating, and a dining area. While their menu features plenty of pasta-focused dishes, Bronzino, and steak, I was primarily there for the bar and the music. However, I did get the opportunity to try the focaccia, tiramisu, and chocolate mousse. The standout winner was definitely the chocolate mousse with strawberries--absolutely divino ! I also sampled the bartender's choice of red wine, which was phenomenal. As a gin and tonic enthusiast, I was thrilled when the bartender made me an incredibly refreshing gin and tonic. The guests at Divino are very social, business-focused, and kind, and the staff was absolutely attentive and amazing. I can't wait to visit again and try more of the menu! read more

A CAFETERIA setting , not at all what I was seeking for my friends. Besides, I was told over the phone that the car could go directly in the underground parking. It was not so. We went to park in the street. Then the very nice waiter-manager opened the door of the underground parking and we were able to bring b ack the car from the street and park inside. I admit that we only went to Divino for dinner because it was too wet to walk further down the hill. I am so glad we did. They have really upped their game recently. They had a wide range of creative cocktails I don't remember seeing before. My husband loved his smokey bourbon, rum, and frangelico cocktail, smoked at the table. The food also exceeded our expectations. We had warm, soft foccacia bread dipped in marinara sauce for a starter. I had porcini pasta for my main, which was piping hot, flavorful, and delicious. The biggest surprise though was the price . $24 for a main is pretty reasonable for Glover Park these days. We will definitely go again, even when it isn't raining. read more

Food was ok not great. Drinks were good. The bugs were BAD and it was a cooler evening. Hostess stand had bug spray but flies and mosquitoes were everywhere. The outdoor part is next to a dumpster that was open and it smelled FRESH. Every breeze brought the smell of dumpster and porta-potty. The water in the glasses smelled and tasted like hose water. We were seated next to some wine tasting group or maybe food/drink reviewers? So I was 6 inches away from people's workplace, introduction and mingling. It's open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and the butternut squash soup and burger is super good. Best burger in DC made with brisket, short rib, and a beef patty and melty teleggio cheese. Yum!! If you can make it in for breakfast try their house made croissants. Coffee is great. If coming for dinner my favorite is the fire grilled tomahawk. They make pastas in-house but I have a wheat allergy but others that tried it loved it. Can't wait until they open up the outdoor patio and rooftop deck!! Highly recommend if you're in DC/Georgetown. Good ambiance and friendly service, but I was very disappointed in the food. I really wanted to like this new neighborhood restaurant, but it was lackluster. To begin, the Caesar salad had wilted lettuce and was over salted. Next, we tried the tagliatelle with oxtail and kale. The menu stated that the pasta was homemade, and that may have been true, but it was limp and flavorless. There was no cohesive sauce, overall the flavor was lacking. Finally, we tried the branzino. The fish was served in a broth with soggy bread and peppers/onions. The fish had many bones and the broth overwhelmed the whole dish. While the service was very nice and the wine was tasty, we won't return to Divino. read more

Looking for something new around us, and craving Italian, we tried the Divino last night and were very pleasantly surprised. The space is clean and simple with a softness that does well at keeping the sound noise down. The service was friendly and polite without being too on top of you. We started with cocktails, both of which were delicious in particular the Amaro Old Fashion. The "pumpkin" soup which was actually a squash as listed on the menu was perfect on a cold night and did not show the heavy hand with salt too many places add to dishes. We also enjoyed the little lettuce salad. My wife loves a good chicken Milanese, so could not pass it up...when it came, with a side salad of its own, she was almost giddy that it was actually crisp and crunch cutting into it, given how many times the dish comes out soggy. My mushroom risotto served on a plate with what I think were air fried mushrooms on top was fantastic. We even split their goat cheese cheesecake with pears, something we rarely do but highly encourage. All in all, a great meal, and we will be back again. I waited door never opened and then told patio which was pretty chilly and only option. Then we could not order dinner but only happy hour menu.
