it's like you're walking to the beaches of thailand! the colors, bright lights, and coconut trees really take you there. went to try rasa thai for the first time, and did a little bit of everything. - fried chicken wings with their secret sauce - roti with curry - som tum - grilled pork - pad thai everything was fresh and definitely hit that thai spot- sweet, tangy, savory. if you want some spice, definitely ask for "thai spicy" or "thai hot" when ordering your items!! they also offer lunch specials which are really nice. will be back to try more of their noodle soups and pad gra pow!

Rasa Thai is a charming little place with I would say is pretty much standard menu for a Thai Place. Nothing inventive here just traditional Thai dishes Americans are used to like Pad Thai, pad see ew, chicken Satay, etc. They execute these standard dishes fairly well. I was a bit disappointed though they couldn't execute my favorite dish, a stir-fry mixed seafood. This dish would have several seafood like green mussels, calamari, prawns and perhaps scallops in fiery Thai chili sauce with mixed vegetables and fresh pepper corns. When I asked about it, however, they said they could only do a combo chicken and shrimp. I was confused as they do have baked mussels on the menu, so I am sure they could have added mussels to the dish. Nevertheless, what I had was tasty, just not what I really wanted. Thai restaurants are ubiquitous in the Bay Area, so there are many others like this one serving standard Thai dishes. The lack of inventive or special dishes here means there is no motivation for me to come back.

New Hidden TREASURE!! This restaurant with Chef Rasa is a GEM in the east bay, I love the expansive menu from appetizers, entrees, meat options and DESSERT! Definitely a must try if you're in the area looking to exprience true thai cuisine and flavors. You can taste the Farmers market veggies the freshness and quality. My new go-to for a flavorful meal so many choices to choose. Great atmosphere, very clean & Don't skip on the Grilled Beef Salad I can't wait to work my way through the menu everything is so delicious!

I had the chance to visit on their opening day, and I was thoroughly impressed. The food was outstanding, and the ambiance was warm, cozy, and impeccably clean. We ordered a variety of dishes, including Pad Se Ew, Sukhothai noodles, eggplant with chicken, Kao Mun Kai, and papaya salad. Every dish was delicious, generously portioned with tender meat, and full of authentic Thai flavors.

Been going here for years, new owner now. Gave it a try, got a vegetable green curry and chicken red curry. Very good, possibly better than before! Will be coming back.

From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere felt warm, inviting, and full of character. The décor blends modern style with traditional Thai touches, creating a comfortable yet vibrant dining space. The food was absolutely outstanding. Every dish we tried was packed with bold, authentic flavors and clearly made with fresh, high-quality ingredients. The balance of sweet, spicy, sour, and savory was spot on. The Pad Thai was one of the best I've ever had--perfectly cooked noodles with just the right amount of tang and richness. The Tom Yum soup was incredibly flavorful, with a deep, aromatic broth that had the perfect kick of spice. We also ordered a curry dish that was rich, creamy, and full of depth--easily a standout. What really made the experience even better was the service. The staff were friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. They took the time to explain dishes and offer recommendations, which made us feel well taken care of throughout the meal. The presentation of the food was also impressive--each dish looked as good as it tasted. It's clear that a lot of care and passion goes into everything they serve. Overall, Saneh Bangkok is a must-visit if you're looking for authentic Thai food in a great atmosphere. Whether you're a local or just visiting Thailand, this restaurant delivers an unforgettable dining experience. I'll definitely be coming back!

I had made a reservation because I didn't know how crowded the place could get especially on Mother's Day but glad I did. The food was amazing and tasted great. It had been a while since I had eaten Thai food but coming here definitely reminded me of how much I missed it. I ordered the red curry chicken with a side of Jasmin rice. This was my first time trying red curry as I usually order yellow curry. I do have to mention that it was spicier than I thought and definitely made me have a runny nose but nothing I couldn't handle lol. The fried chicken wings were also amazing and definitely loved the crunchiness to it. It was cooked really through and I enjoyed that. Everything had just enough spices to really enjoy the food. I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for great Thai food near Pleasant Hill.

I had been by the area a few times but I never noticed it because it's so tucked away. It's worth taking a look into nonetheless! I went on a Saturday night and it was actually pretty quiet, some people came by to eat or pick up orders but luckily it wasn't overly busy. It is a smaller restaurant, so it would likely accommodate smaller parties but i believe you can make reservations for larger parties as well. I really liked the appetizers! I couldn't choose so i decided to get the Secret of the Thai Village for all the above! I appreciated that the food was never too heavy or salty, it sat at a good level for me. The food portions were slightly smaller than expected but still a decent serving size. Thought this place is deep into pleasant hill and may be tucked away it's worth the try! The pricing is OK for the most part and the plating is all very nicely done. Bring your friends and loved ones to this lovely family owned business for a try sometime!

But you know me, food is what it is all about in my reviews! Lol! Cajun calamari 5/5 not too spicy at least I didn't notice but it was excellent and very crunchy. With a honey mustard style sauce which complimented the calamari. Chicken satay 5/5 excellent and smooth with yummy peanut sauce and tiny cup of cucumber salad. Garlic wings 4/5 ( some family members liked this the best). Garlicky and flavorful but for me, these were dry type of fried wings and I like mine with a glaze or sauce. Samosa- 4/5 a kind of sweet mashed potato type of filling. Fresh spring rolls 4/5 ok I am used to big kind where you can taste shrimp. These were small, and cut up. Fried veg rolls 4/5 kind of like small lumpia- ok Eggplant with chicken and basil 5/5 Pumpkin curry with chicken 5/5 one of my favorites Grilled lamb chops 5/5 my favorite of all. Grilled perfectly. Taste was excellent and served with special rice( forbidden rice or purple rice on top?). Drunken noodles with beef-5/5 ( some of my family's favorites). Pad Thai I paid extra for chicken and shrimp together. 5/5 I don't usually like shrimp but the prawns alone were amazing! Whole dish was perfect. Pad See Ew- 4/5 good but if I had to pick the other two pad Thai (#2) and drunken noodles (#1)were better. Laos sausage wrapped in leaves with a mix of peanuts, red onions and fresh lime and garlic. 5/5 A spicy sausage cut into slices to be wrapped in lettuce leaves. Pineapple fried rice 5/5 Mango Lovers- 10/5 surprisingly a star showcase of varied mango desserts with macaron cookies. Thai iced tea ice cream( loved this one), mango ice cream, mango slices and sweet rice, and a fresh strawberry and mango slices and a mango mousse cake slice. All excellent! I was surprised how big this was, so don't need to order any other dessert if you order this!!! Then my favorite fried banana fried in like a eggroll type wrapper. Smooth and yummy! And coconut ice cream complimented it perfectly. 10/5 So here you have an idea of menu offerings. All of them delicious and service and ambiance wonderful! I had a group of 12 in our party. It was a nice place to have a party. They loved all the drinks from lychee martini, Thai iced tea spiked and regular Thai iced teas and one with a basket drink. I am glad they helped us celebrate my daughter's achievements and sent her a complimentary ice cream. Thank you Torsop Thai for making it memorable and delicious for our family! And I could see on the receipt they checked everything off so I appreciate that. The one thing I do not like about this place is that you have to pay for the rice separately when you buy curry. I knew this before ordering so I just made some at home, but I find that very odd. Who is going to eat curry just as is? It's like serving a bowl of alfredo and charging extra for the fettucine. It seems to me like a random way to get more money out of guests; I don't know why else it would be that way. Rice costs barely anything; they should consider including it and maybe adding a dollar or something to the entree. Nonetheless, we would order from this spot again; we really enjoyed the food, the portions were really good sized too.

Thankfully, I called the restaurant and they were able to get everything situated and reinstate my reservation. That was a relief.
