Good food and pricing. Since our offices are in DeLand, a lot of restaurants are actually closed on Mondays. Nice to have some good choices and Dobros is open on Mondays. What a great restaurant! Our party of four loved everything we ordered. Saturday night out. The special tonight was 2 for one sangrias for the win! The special was deep dish Chicago pizza, Greek salad and breadsticks. We added a side of homemade Alfredo. Ended with fried cheesecake. Let me start with saying the owners are so sweet, love family owned businesses. The Greek salad was full of yummy feta and the dressing was on point. Alfredo and breadsticks are a must, puts olive gardens to shame. Now for the pizza.... Let me say I'm a Chicago girl who moved to New Smyrna Beach, so I know my deep dish pizza!!! This was perfection on a platter!!! Meat lovers, was so delicious. We were soooo stuffed but my husband is a dessert man and asked what the dessert options were... Fried Cheesecake, was a hit!!! I only had one bite because I was going to explode. I do highly recommend saving room for dessert. Do yourself a favor and go get some of this yummy goodness!!! read more

I've tried probably six Italian restaurants in the DeLand area and so far this is the only place in DeLand to get a very good calzone or stromboli. And they are very distinct... Calzone is puffy and deep fried while a stromboli is rolled and baked and then sliced like a sushi roll. These are several levels above the ordinary fare at other Italian restaurants where they simply offer the same baked item just folded slightly differently and pretend there's some real distinction. Deep dish is also very good. I wasn't a huge fan of Chicago style till I tried this place (also a friend made it from scratch one night but i digress..) . Salads are great too. They make Caesar dressing in-house and it's nothing like the watery stuff I've grown up with. I have yet to try pasta dishes there but they have a gluten free menu which is basically rice-based pastas. This intrigues me as I love rice noodles in Chinese cuisines. I've been wanting to try this for a while and will update when i do. They also offer NY style thin pizza but i have not yet tried this. I expect it will be as good but I'll update on that as well when i do. read more

I went here yesterday for a to go order of a 12 inch traditional vegan cheese pizza. (5/17) The service was incredible & the staff were super nice. But the pizza was just the worst experience I've ever eaten, the dough was undercooked, mushy and bland tasting, the sauce tasted sour and so did the vegan cheese, I've had a lot of vegan cheese in my lifetime and the level of sourness of it was just not normal. Anyways I've been suffering stomach pains since like an hour after eating the pizza, def not coming back. read more

First visit- driven by tons of times and had heard they had Chicago pizza so we gave it a try - my husband the four meat and myself the veggie. We decided on take out and let me say the smell was so intoxicating I just had to have a slice before we pulled into the driveway. The crust was deep dish and delicious, tasted fresh and the sauce was sweet and yummy, prices were around $8 each but worth it. Parking was free and plentiful. As an old Chicagoan, I attest their Chicago Style, Deep Dish pizzas are "Spot ON!" I read many reviews after hearing of their claim to serving authentic, Chicago Style, Deep Dish pizza and the negative reviews MUST be from New Yorkers who DON'T know what Chicago Style is. They complained about the crust, it IS correct and delicious...some complained about lack of cheese...the cheese is on the bottom, next to the crust. SO, word to wise. Comments should be dismissed from people NOT knowing what a Chicago Style pizza is all about. My whole experience was PERFECT! Friendly staff, great service, reasonable prices, comfortable seating and FOOD EXCELLENT!!! Bravo...I will drive from Ormond Beach MANY times for this pizza! read more

We have been to this restaurant many many times....dating back to their old location as well, there is an older lady server there with glasses and long hair...she is probably the rudest and most miserable server that ive ever had to deal with at any establishment (fastfood included) we had her the last few times we have been and everytime its the same thing, rude with an attitude, we walked in and the owner was there...we saw the rude server and didnt want her...linz immediately asked the owner (who serves also) if she would be the one serving us, she said they all help out all the tables but she would definitely be around, my mother in law met us there to celebrate my son getting student of the month out of his entire school, we were also celebrating my new job, my mother in law wanted a small chicken alfredo so they were going to give her a kids...my daughter wanted the same.... as the server was walking away we decided that they could just get a full entree and split it...the server said "i already put it in" i left the establishment to put my ipad in my car and my wife decided that we didnt want to eat there (why pay for a horrible experience) she told the manager that as they were bringing the salads, my wife asked her to cancel the order and offered to pay for the drinks, the manager said that wasn't necessary, as my wife, kids, and mother in law were leaving...the manager said to the server that we said she was rude and thats why we were cancelling our order, the server yelled loud enough in the restaurant for everyone to hear (including my family as they were exiting the restaurant) that my wife "was a liar! And that she just asked if we wanted soup or salad) at this point my wife heard her and yelled "LIAR!?" The server called my wife a liar....Linz then yelled that we will never go to that establisment again and we would be writing a review. keep in mind we have had this same awful lady on at least 4 occasions!
