My wife and I tried this place last weekend (2/25/24) and we thoroughly enjoyed it. A little dark inside but has more of a calm chill atmosphere. Pretty straight forward menu and the food was actually good. I had the crispy chicken sandwich while she had the Southwest salad. She wasn't too much a fan of it (she actually wanted a burger lol) but it tasted great to me. Same with the sandwich. Love how the have two bars. One for those dining at the bar and one for those eating at the restaurants which does help to speed things up. We wanted to sit outside but had to wait which was a bummer due to the place being short staffed but there were plenty of tables available outside. Nice atmosphere, good service, yummy food. A little Bit expensive. We started with the 1lb angry tomato which, as you can see from the reviews is very good. It's got more a tomato jam then tomato sauce that comes with it. Definitely a good amount of sugar in the sauce. The meatball was good flavor and good texture. I would get this again. The bacon appetizer I think might be a little overrated, apparently it used to be free. It's just candied bacon, I've had similar at a place like dunkin donuts. The portion is a bit small for the price and the fact that it's just bacon with brown sugar (2 relatively cheap ingredients) makes it delicious but not worth the price. My knife and fork Cobb salad was excellent as was the side of crispy chicken. Will eat here again, the bar area looked like fun although will probably save it for special Occasions. Also we went mid afternoon on a Friday and found parking to be a little difficult. This is probably my new favorite restaurant in clear fork (Mesero has dropped down to 2 and Press and Risen3 to 3, Butchers is still last; lol). I had not been here as I have not gone out much to eat since Covid, but I wish I would've gone sooner. Everything about this place is great. The service, the food, the atmosphere, the decor, and the menu. We got there and asked to sit outside, but the section in the alley creates a big breeze, and I got cold. The staff had no problem, and did not make me feel bad when I asked if we could be moved. Probably a great place to sit in the summer or spring. Everything came out perfectly timed and the server was always available when needed and not intrusive whatsoever. I didn't even know when my water glass would get refilled. The artichokes are a must, I still think about them today. The meatball is not as big as it sounds, but it is delicious. I got the Chicken Paillard. Not as big of a fan because it's essentially a salad, but it did taste good. We got a few drinks, and every single one of them was so tasty (the Crazy Beautiful and Whiskey Smash are a must). I wish I had a higher tolerance. By the end of the night it did start pouring rain, and we had to move yet again because the rain was coming down so hard it was actually getting all the tables wet. They had no problem when we moved to the bar, and let us finish our Keylime pie there. The Keylime pie was good, but not great. Im partial to the keylime made in florida ;) The server, David, was probably one of the best servers we have ever had. My wife and I went to Doc B's for Valentines lunch. It was our first visit and it was great. Our food was excellent, we had grilled salmon, the chimichurri steak and house made guacamole. Also tried the "Internal Affair" which is a fancy margarita and also the "Slightly Spicy Mezcalita" which was even better. Can't say enough good things about our server Kiara! Was really looking forward to trying this place out... As soon as we were seated after waiting 20 extra minutes more than what we were told, we noticed the booth was extremely dirty, with food all over the place. Even worse, there were SWARMS of flies and mosquitoes. When our EXTREMELY rude and obnoxious waiter ROSS came to our booth, he said "it's Texas, that's the way it is" and we have to "deal with it." We immediately left after he spoke to us this way - what a shame! The staff seems very attentive, however they don't pay attention to pacing your food. For example, I asked for a house salad prior to my dinner which was $12 for a basic salad. I only had it a few minutes before my food came out. With the tables being limited on space, I ended up just letting them take and not eating it. The waiter said nothing, just took it to "clear" the table for more room. As he did with appetizers, we were still eating them, had quite a bit left and he asked if he could clear the table. It was nice to see the staff helping each other out to refill drinks and making rounds to make sure customers didn't need anything. The bar was open seating so took the bar stool and ordered a double meat bacon cheeseburger with the sweet potato fries. I've loved this restaurant (specifically the Fort Worth location over uptown) for almost 4 years now. I've relocated about a half hour away but always make it a point to visit when I'm nearby. Yesterday was the most impressive visit I've had - I was having an extremely hard day and multiple staff members made it a point to try and cheer me up and take complete care of me. Wine came with the food, which I guess is fine but still.... I ordered the Spicy Thai Chicken bowl with rice and husband ordered the burger with a fried egg and side of regular fries. I LOVE fries, hot and crispy and salty....but these were not. They were warm at best, soggy and bland. Burger was ok, not great. Husband loved the candied bacon on the burger but waitress did forgot the ketchup and mustard (we had to ask for it again). Waitress suggested the dijon mustard which was good but not what we wanted, so we never got our regular mustard. My bowl was very disappointing. Hardly any flavor considering it was suppose to be "spicy" and there was taste of "seafood" which I am allergic too. I had to make sure that the chicken was not shrimp! I don't know if we would go back, maybe to just watch a game or order drinks and sit outside because the fireplace was pretty but to order food, maybe....I don't know. BUT THE DESSERT TAKES THE CAKE (no pun intended). The Oreo ice cream is something I haven't been able to stop thinking about for over a week now. It's a huge bowl of ice cream that could easily feed 3 people. It's homemade and has chocolate poured over the top that makes a shell. Our service was phenomenal once we switched waiters. The first waitress refused to serve my friend a beer because she said she wouldn't be comfortable doing so (he had only had one beer). But I understand she was just doing her job and probably just didn't understand my friend's sense of humor. Management was great and handled the situation and gave us a new waiter.
