Stopped by this restaurant before going to a concert at Legacy Hall. Hubs and I both ordered the Connecticut roll. The pieces of lobster were large and generous! The bun was toasted and warm. It was served with a cup of melted butter and homemade pickles. We both felt that we got our money's work with the portion size. Looking forward to trying some other items on the menu in the future! The food is amazing. The lobster roll and lobster bisque are fantastic. They are only receiving a 4 star because the manager did not wear gloves when preparing my food and ripped up lobster with his hands. He did remake it when requested so that was appreciated. read more

Friendly and fast service! I had a grinder and the queso. The queso was good with the house made chips, I just wish it was hot instead of lukewarm. The grinder was overfilled with fresh seafood and definitely didn't disappoint. I wasn't a huge fan of the mayo (a little too much on there for my taste) but next time I'll try the Connecticut. As a New England transplant I am always hesitant to try new seafood places here. Dock Local is fantastic! I had the lobster grinder and it was everything a lobster roll should be, fresh, flavorful and on the correct style of roll. The pickles are a delightful compliment and the chips are a must try. Had lunch here today for the first time. The Connecticut lobster rolls are small but adequate. Very simple--lobster piled in a six inch roll with butter and sliced cucumbers (awesome) on the side. We also had the loaded garlic fries that were awesome. There were large chunks of lobster and just enough spicy kick to make it interesting. This is a large portion and I could envision ordering it by itself for my meal. I would definitely return here! The downside to dining was sitting outside, socially distanced, and trying to enjoy eating in a pleasant environment. At 1:00 on a weekday the music was blaring--perfect for a party crowd getting ready to dance the night away , but neither ok right now, or appropriate for the "audience." So, so good. Went with coworkers and everyone loved the food. Started with the Garlic Lobster Fries. Then we ordered the Grinder, Connecticut, Dynamite Shrimp and 2 orders of the Lobster Mac! Everything we ordered was delicious! I was very happy with everything including the soda options which were not the typical options. We also had three tacos smoked salmon, fish, and Baja shrimp all very tasty. I took these pictures before I tasted anything. Once we started there was no stopping for pics lol. An Abundance of everything you want(Lobster) and not dripping with mayo. Seasoning was on point as well. Homemade chips and thinly sliced pickles served on the side with a Taziki sauce. Tremendous Grinder Sandwich. Now for the Show-Stopper...LOBSTER GRILLED CHEESE! One bite of the Lobster Grilled Cheese and you'll find yourself going back and peaking around the corner, looking for Gordon Ramsey. Take a seat while I describe this Sandwich that should receive Sainthood status Immediately. Y'all, the best of Maine has arrived in land-locked North Texas! This biz is smart, not a huge menu, but everything we had was supreme! Please, please please get the lobster fries! We thought we would be enjoying a taste of New England, but everything tasted more like we got it from a vending machine at a rest stop off the Mass Pike. We ordered the lobster grinder (roll), this is what drew us to ordering from here tonight. The pictures looked great and the reviews were stellar. In reality we were both disappointed. The lobster salad mixture was not freshly made and it lacked taste and texture. In good lobster rolls you can taste the different ingredients and usually that mixture blows away my taste buds. Not this one. Tasted like a week old salad topping you'd find on a sandwich in a vending machine. The roll was weak, lacked structure and almost tasteless. It tasted like toasted, buttered and salted Wonder bread. There was nothing special about the Baja fish tacos, either. Had a bowl of clam chowder that was more runny than thick and my preference is for the thick, but I know some like the runny version. Another critique of the chowder is that is tasted vinegary for some reason. I am used to chowder, even if it is runny to have a richness. This soup lacked the comfort I was looking for in this cold, January evening. We added a order of the Dockside pickles which were also disappointing. The cucumbers were more than a day or two old and the sauce combo lacked attention. The shoestring fries were good, but they are not going to bring me back to Dockside. read more
