Although there weren't any ham sandwich in the display case, the woman at the register informed us that they'd be able to make one for us on the spot. The walnut roll had been sitting around in the case all day so the outside had developed a hardened crust that was a bit difficult to chew through. That said, the inside had plenty of walnuts, great flavor, and would have been really nice toasted up in an oven. The jambon-beurre here is as good as it gets: high quality butter on artisanal bread, with a simple piece of ham on top. The pickled onions and pickles on the side were a nice touch as well. I wish more places would offer a jambon-beurre, but sourcing high-quality bread and butter is probably the biggest challenge for businesses. If you're here to get one item, I'd highly recommend either a baguette, or the jambon-beurre.

Located inside the Kaiser Permanente building, the cafe is open to the public. For non-Kaiser employees, there's a public entrance on the west side of the cafe (Grand Avenue).
