This team is great! I was looking at dog door through the glass solutions for a back patio swinging door with a glass pane. Soooo glad I stumbled onto these guys! So very professional, both customer service and the install crew! They made the process super easy, they are definitely experts in this area! My dog took about 30 min to get used to it and it's sooo amazing for all of us that she can let herself out to potty and play! They wanted to make sure to get it exactly right and followed up to make sure it was functioning well for our dog. They really care and run such a friendly and responsible business!! It's definitely improved her daily life and ours! Looks great, functions super well, Very happy customers over here!!

There aren't many trusted rabbit sitters in the area considering the area has far more dog and cat…read moreowners (I get it as we also have a dog and cat ourselves!) Our rabbit is very important to us so I set out to find the best possible pet sitter in the area for peace of mind, that was when I stumbled upon Furry Friends Pet sitting. We boarded our beloved senior rabbit (who is a very sassy bun) for 11 days as we had to leave for an overseas trip. Barbara is very great at communication from the first contact all throughout the duration of rabbit boarding. Questions are specific as in which veggies are most preferred, hay preference, vaccine and vet information. They also provided an enclosure with toys and hidey spots so all we had to do was drop our bun off in a carrier. She would send daily videos and photos along with detailed updates (like how she would lounge all day and snack on her hay and list the veggies she was fed). Barbara shows a lot of experience as she has a variety of veggies as well as regularly cleaning out the water bowl and tidying the enclosure. She would also spend time petting and changing up the toys and tunnels as well. Receiving texts on our bun was something I looked forward to during our trip as I would see how relaxed and comfortable she was! If you are looking for an experienced rabbit sitter in the area, I wouldn't hesitate to inquire here! Thank you so much for watching our bun! Photos below are from Barbara's daily updates.

After over 2 years of leaving my dog there, and overlooking many qualms (including kennel cough and no accountability for a feeding schedule) I said "no more" today. I picked up my dog on Saturday, during their 2 hr p/u window on weekends, and dared to ask about the extra food I always pack for her in fear that I might experience a delay in picking her up. EVERY time I have picked up my 15 lb, 5 year old, extremely shy, shelter adopted dog, they have handed me her empty bag with no remaining food or an explanation of her feeding schedule. Last Saturday I dared to question where her extra can of prescription dog food was and asked why I wasn't being given any account of her eating schedule. Apparently my questions were not acceptable and the manager called me today saying that she can't keep staff at the facility (all true) and that I upset her one employee there on Saturday by asking questions. She stated that I did not leave an extra can of food for my dog, yet after further research, I found that she was again wrong. Yea, I was done with them after that call... It's not about the 1 can (or total of 7 or 8 cans), it's the lack of accountability and organization at this place. The employee turnover speaks for itself. There used to be intelligent and caring people working there, but under the new management it's not stable. I'd rather quit my job and stay home with my dog than deal and worry about that kind of unprofessionalism. Luckily, I have since found out that there are other more qualified facilities nearby with higher standards and more professional service.

And the garage in question had been converted into a room, it was actual well insulated additional room where I was planning to set up their space. Please stop making bs stuff about the conversation we had. I ended going with a better organization from where I was able to adopt. Lots of better options out there than your so called rescue.

I was initially very excited about IBOK, particularly their thoughtful two-cat policy, which made a lot of sense to me. They were also flexible and kind about my living a few miles outside of Santa Clara County. I was approved to adopt and the process started off on a positive note. After being approved, I was quickly directed to a specific pair of kittens who were older than I'd hoped for. They sounded wonderful, but while young, they don't look like what you picture when you think "kittens." Our family recently lost our 20-year-old cat, and my children, who are younger than that cat, have always hoped to experience raising kittens. The initial email recommending the pair was polite and said if we didn't feel they were the right fit, there would be many others to consider. I felt bad tentatively turning down the pair they suggested and said as much in my reply. They quickly let me know that I might have to wait a few months because it was not kitten season. What made the situation upsetting was what happened next. A few days later, IBOK posted about eight 7-8 week old kittens on their Facebook page, asking for foster help. I was excited to see young kittens despite it not being "kitten season" and I inquired if it might be possible to adopt a pair instead of fostering as we are probably not up to giving up kittens we've taken into our home! We got our last cat at this age. I also commented (in what I thought was a friendly way) that the kittens were all cute and that one particularly reminded us of our late cat. The response I received was unexpectedly harsh. Part of the text read: "As you were not interested in the kittens we recommended to you as a perfect fit, you may want to look at other rescues for your new kittens. Wanting kittens as young as possible isn't a characteristic we look for in our adopters. We want the best match possible for our kittens, and you do not seem to be looking for a match that would be in the best interests of our kittens. We're sorry, but you asked us for help in finding the right pair for you, and we did that. But you were not interested. You should be looking for the right personalities, not just how they look." This response made me feel hurt, stupid, and misunderstood, and I regretted commenting on the kittens' cuteness, as it was meant to be chatty and friendly. It also made me feel very judged for expressing a preference for younger cats, which I already felt bad about but hadn't realized would disqualify us as adopters. Despite feeling upset, I responded apologetically to her text (even though my husband suggested I simply reply, "Are you OK?"). I dislike confrontation and understood that they were not going to let us adopt, but I didn't want to leave on a bad note. I never received a response back. As someone who works with a horse rescue, I understand how those in deep in the trenches of rescue work are often overwhelmed and exhausted. Still, I think it's important to assume the best of people who come to you hoping to love and care for animals. My interaction left me feeling like one of the Dursleys, and it's going to take me some time to build up the nerve to approach another rescue group. I know I should re-examine my preferences too. I imagine that adopting through IBOK could go well if you accept the cats they recommend for you, avoid expressing preferences about age or commenting on appearance, and pass their tests. Their focus on finding the best match for their cats is admirable, but I think they could benefit from more compassion and openness when communicating with adopters. Especially after reading the other reviews, I'm sure many people would likely be willing to adjust their plans if guided thoughtfully. (I'm leaving 3 stars because I think that's the fairest option considering I only experienced one small part of the adoption process.)

My partner and I learned about Brassy's Paw Army through a friend who sought obedience training for his puppy and then continued to use their dog walking and active paws service after. We needed someone to watch our dog while we were away on vacation. However, we were skeptical of leaving him with someone who was under qualified or uncomfortable with a stubborn, and headstrong dog like ours. We also did not like idea of our little guy being boarded somewhere where he would be left in a kennel all day. For context: Our dog has received training from multiple trainers in the Bay Area and even completed a board and train program due to his dog reactivity. Needless to say, we are very aware that not everyone feels comfortable caring for a reactive dog. We are also not as trusting of just anyone to feel confident in caring for him as well. Having the background knowledge that Brassy also works as a dog trainer, we felt she would be a good option. We reached out through email and she was quick in following up through text. She connected us with Brizza who has been Fidel's main care taker in the paw army. We scheduled a meet and greet and then a few sessions for Brizza to walk Fidel (our dog) so they can become acquainted. We gave her background on the training Fidel had and the tools we use. He eventually started going for "active paws" sessions which gave us such peace of mind knowing that he was both getting time out of the house AND receiving much needed exposure/training with his dog reactivity and reinforcing his obedience training. They use an app to make it easy to book services and to also update us on what Fidel is up to. When we have had Fidel boarded with Brizza, we are so comfortable knowing that he is with someone who treats him like their own dog. She is so accommodating and truly loves our dog. The first year with my golden retriever, Luka, was extremely hard. He was a mouthy dog who had zero boundaries at home or outside. He would get excited or frustrated and grab/bite onto my shoes or clothes daily. Walking him became an impossible task because he was extremely dog-reactive, and he dragged me a couple of times while trying to chase another dog. Walking him also became a two-person job, with someone always on the lookout for other dogs so we could turn the other way. He also began to resource guard and snapped at my dad twice.. I had already spent thousands on another trainer and didn't have much success. I began to feel like this was just what life with Luka would be like forever. It got to the point where I felt scared of him, and the life I was giving him out of that fear wasn't fair to him. So I decided to try and get help one last time. I found Lori's page and after reading the reviews I became hopeful again. I took Luka in for an evaluation, and Lori recommended their board-and-train program. I can't thank Chelsea and Lori enough for everything they've done. I've learned so much about Luka, how to manage different situations, and how to better understand his behavior. We had training lessons throughout his board-and-train stay and afterward, because we are the ones who need most of the training! Chelsea did an amazing job with Luka. At home, Luka is unrecognizable in the best way. We can actually go on adventures outside without being terrified that we won't be able to handle him. Those who knew Luka before his stay and see him now always comment on how well he is doing. I cannot recommend Lori Hamilton's Dog training enough to anyone who feels like they've tried everything and is feeling discouraged.
