The food here is good but not great. Buffalo wings tasted ok, just like any other buffalo wings, and were a little bland if not dipped in the sauce on the side. The fried shrimp has good flavor, but having too much would be too salty. The steak frites were average--although the steak has a strong and special rosemary and smoked taste, the quality of the steak was not that good as there were frequently tendons in the meat, and the fries were not too crispy either. The interior of the restaurant is large, open, and casual. Social distancing rules are strictly applied for safety (e.g. customers must be seated at every other table and masks must be worn anytime the customer isn't eating). As for the ambiance, we sat outside, so I did not see all that the restaurant's interior had to offer. What I did see however look exciting and interesting. My only complaint was that there was a small piece of metal in my mac 'n' cheese. I found it about halfway through the meal, so their offer of another mac 'n' cheese was unhelpful. I do enjoy this place. They have a lot of different seating areas which is nice. Love the booths that you can look out onto the Avenue and people watch. The food is always good, especially the I Wanna Be Sedated burger. The only complaint is they tend to over cook the burger at times, but so tasty you let it slide. Their beer selections are fun and the selections keep changing since they brew them theirselves. Fried chicken sandwich was excellent and the Kale Caesar and Beet Salad are both great! While advertised as dog friendly, this place is not. Dogs not allowed inside and the patio doesn't have a heater to accommodate in cold weather. My husband and I came while on our anniversary trip! We absolutely loved it here! We came for lunch probably around 1:30pm. There was no wait and seated right away. We loved the vibe. My husband enjoyed his beer, and I got the Peach me how to dougie, which was amazing. I will be back to get it again. We got the pretzel bites as an appetizer, and omg, they were delicious, and the cheese sauce to dip it in made it a 10/10!! We both got the I wanna be sedated burger and they were very good. Since we were visiting the area we wanted to sample Dogfish in person after drinking their beer at home. A little nervous about indoor dining during Covid but we did sit in a barrel booth which is as good as it gets for not sharing air with others. We sampled a few different beers, they were well done. On this evening appetizers were half off, smand that is what we wanted anyway. We had the pretzel bites and the marinated olives. Very tasty and served hot, thanks for the good service. Awesome place in Rehoboth Beach. The place is packed as soon as they open so get so either get there early or put your name in before you get hungry. Totally worth the wait. We got the cheesesteak, Mac and cheese that has the buffalo wings and the crab and corn chowder. Everything was good, the chowder has more veggies than most chowders I've had but that's not a bad thing. If you have a choice try to get a table upstairs, it's quieter and roomier than downstairs. Once we were finally seated it was all down-hill. Food took 40minutes to come out and it was cold and super salty. How do you screw up a burger!! The waiter was not attentive and when I asked another waiter for a condiment, he brushed me off and said "ask your waiter". This place has seriously gone down-hill. Fantastic brewery but not the coolest brew pub. We arrived around 2pm and it was packed. No where to stand around the bar. Shares a flight and out of the 4 I only enjoyed the Liquid Truth IPA. I usually like their beers though so I just have just not picked the right ones for me. Easily one of the best experiences we had during the off-season in Rehoboth. Five stars for their excellent beer selection alone, thankfully they also have some damn tasty food and great service. When I mention Dogfish Head to any craft beer drinking friend, the usual response I get is "excellent IPAs", while my step-dad confirmed this to be true trying a few of their various "minute" IPAs, Lupu-Luau, Romantic Chemistry and Flesh & Blood I stuck to other adventurous offerings such as Sour Cherry Jam, Dragons & Yum Yums, Namaste White and the Bourbon Barrel Aged Palo Santo Marron. ALL were excellent, fresh and true to their descriptions. Dogfish has one of the most well rounded collections I ever came across. The food is good, a bit more hit than miss. I really enjoyed the pretzel bites that were crispy outside, fluffy inside almost like well made garlic knots (without garlic) with tasty dipping sauces. The fried pickles were another winner - long spears with a light coating. The brussel sprouts were a bit underdone and under-flavored to my liking. The Faithful Bull pizza was awesome topped with their wood-fired beef, cheddar, carmelized onion, red bell pepper, mushroom, cherry pepper aioli and fried onions - it really had it all! A crowd pleaser! Cheddar Brie Grilled cheese was really good as well, but the fries that came out with this were cold and soggy. The waiter had a fresh batch brought out that were crispy and excellent. For the non-beer drinkers DFH distills their own spirits. Hard to go wrong with their DFH & Stormy, but I found their beers offered a better deal. Service was excellent (Thanks Brandon!) and it was a lot of fun sitting in one of the window barrels. They have a stage, open kitchen and large bar - DFH made quite a place to showcase their beers and to become a bit of a foodie and beerie hub not far from the shore front. I came here on a Saturday afternoon with my family. My husband was excited to try all of the beers, I am not much of a beer drinker... but he was happy with the sampler option :) I ordered the Shrimp Tacos which comes with Old Bay shrimp, black beans, corn salsa, Chipotle Crema, Queso Fresca, cured red onion and cilantro on flour tortillas. All sandwiches and tacos come with the choice of house-cut fries, potato salad, coleslaw, pasta salad or asparagus for an additional $2. I selected the house-cut fries. The shrimp was very flavorful, I loved the Old Bay flavor :) The cured red onion was a little overwhelming, I had to pick some off the tacos since it was overpowering all of the other flavors. The house-cut fries were decent, but a little overcooked. The food was good overall, but the service was excellent. Unfortunately, my niece dropped, not one... but two drinks on the floor. There was apple juice and water all over the floor and the second drink drop resulted in a broken cup. The staff were quick to clean up the mess and were nice about it as well. I really appreciated their kindness and patience :) I would definitely come back here and would recommend to those who love beer, my husband enjoyed his sampler :) Parking can be a bit of a hassle, it is also metered parking. read more

A table for 3 is available but the host would not seat us because "policy is not to seat you until everyone is present" and then they add "your 3rd person needs to hurry else we'll give the remaining table away". Okay... so we suggest: how about we immediately order for the missing person (i.e. functionally as good for the restaurant revenue and speed-wise). "No - it's our policy sorry" 5 mins later they give the table away... to a party of TWO people. Skipping the two people who have been patiently waiting for their third person to arrive. Our third person sprints in 5 mins later and rushes straight to the counter. "Sorry, we had to give the table away to another couple - they had a dog. Your friends are waiting outside. This was the first time here. My husband had the Beef on a Weck, which he liked although the horseradish was very mild. His fries were pretty bad. They must have used old oil, or old potatoes or both. I had the cubano with a side of Mac and cheese. The fillings of the sandwich were good but the ciabatta was actually crunchy which made it hard to eat and the Mac and cheese was pretty much tasteless mush. We came here with our two dogs after a cold day at the beach and got seated right away on the patio. The atmosphere was great and our server was even better (best mustache I've ever seen!) We started out with the pretzel bites with IPA cheddar cheese and honey mustard which were the best we have ever had accompanied by their Nordaic IPA- delicious! We bought a 6 pack on our way out, it was that good. For our entrees we ordered the "You Make Me Wanna" and the "Where It's At" burger and they were top tier. The flavors in the "you make me wanna" were out of this world. Our only complaint is that the covers were not down on the patio. The heaters were on however, we couldn't feel them due to the wind. It was very busy during this holiday weekend and this was the only seating area for us with our dogs. Overall, I highly recommend this restaurant and will 100% be back! read more

We were shopping for the day in Rehoboth and needed some time to kill before dinner so we stopped by. It was surprisingly very crowded on a Tuesday afternoon, maybe because of the rain I don't know. We couldn't find a seat at the bar but squeezed in a corner. We did get pretty quick service though. They have some interesting beer flavors. I really liked a cucumber beer they had. I also got a flight later so I can sample a little bit of everything since I can't make up my mind. One was like a weird combination of different smoothie ingredients like flax seed, chia, protein, green tea, kale, oats, etc. I didn't really care for that one. A couple of the stouts were very good. I wanted to try the peanut butter vodka in the flight but they said it's beer only, but they gave me a small taste so that was nice of them. We enjoyed our time here and would come back. read more

This is a really great spot for both food and drinks! We sat outside and loved the patio space. It's shaded with fans to keep you cool. Our server was wonderful - super friendly, attentive and quick! My husband enjoyed a flight of beers and a few full pours afterward of his favorites. We weren't up for it this time, but they have their 120 minute IPA on the menu -- which is an astounding 15%+ ABV! My husband got the 90 minute and said it was surprisingly smooth for something so high in hops and alcohol. We shared some appetizers -- the warm olives were delicious, and we really enjoyed the Pierogis. We also tried the corn crab chowder with oyster crackers - which I highly recommend if you're looking for something heartier. Will happily return when in Rehoboth! read more

Came here again this year. Was seated upstairs. Good Christmas decor as you walk up the stairs. Great view of the main dining floor as well. Was seated in the corner so we had a great outdoor view. Ordered the wings for starters. Tasted good, not bad. I got the rueben sandwich. The bread was too toasted in my opinion. Was anticipating more of a softer bread. Got the days wait pizza. Pizza was very good. Best thing we ordered for the night. Nice and chewy and cheesy. Service was great. Very attentive and checked on us many times. My 75 minute ipa tasted good as well and wife loved all four beers in her flight from what the waitress recommended. Dropped by on a rainy weekday shortly after they opened and they were already on a 30 minute wait for a table. The bar was open seating though so we grabbed a couple seats there. We started with a beer and a mule, both of which were very good. For our entrees we had the grilled cheese and a days wait pizza. Both of these were good but I favored the pizza a bit more here. The wood fired crust was great and the toppings were good too. The service was top notch and we definitely recommend giving this place a try. read more

I came back to this place in August 2019. What a difference a month makes in coming to this area. Last time we were here it was a fast drive and dead in the area for the most part. Well allot extra time to get here once it's summer time! The food was spectacular! We had the Chicharron as an appetizer which is akin to pork rinds- very puffed up though. Street corn is amazing!! The flavor is perfect the cooking of the corn is spot on and those pickled onions were a nice bonus. The tacos were really good as well. The breakfast pizza was really good! I was excited to taste scrapple- not off putting at all. The pulled pork sandwich was also flavorful and delicious. We had no complaints about the food. Drinks: Bitches brew really good. Slightly mighty was very good for a light beer. The Super eight was okay though flavorful. The Raison is akin to a sweeter version of their world wide beer... it could be compared to tasting like medicine. The mocktail I got was supposed to be the Tasmanian mule but had watermelon juice instead of passion fruit. It was fresh tasting but not my thing. The waiter (Gray strongman mustache) saw I didn't care for it and didn't charge me for it- kudos to him! I had recently seen the movie Waiting with Ryan Reynolds so I wasn't gonna complain about anything!! Overall we had a fantastic experience here! A visit to Dogfish Head has been a bucket list item since moving to the area and enjoying my fair share (and a few too many) 90 minute IPAs at some of my Philly-area watering holes. Rehoboth has many great spots, but Dogfish Head is a true must. I'm a big fan of DFH's better known beers, but a visit the Rehoboth location was an awesome opportunity to dabble in some more exclusive beers. DFH was the perfect escape from a scorching weekend beach day, but I clearly wasn't alone in this idea. I popped in on a sunny, Saturday at lunchtime - peak business hours. There was a pretty decent wait for a table, but seeing as I was alone and desperate for drink, I smooshed into the crowded bar and waited for a single open chair to appear. I ordered a beer while I stood, starting with the Brut Rose Grisette. Delicious, refreshing, classy, and sassy (much like myself). Maybe it was the dehydration or the empty stomach, but I had a nice little buzz by the time I was done sipping. I ordered the cask Peach-a-boo for my second beer. It was creamy, not too sweet, but with obvious peach flavor. Best part? I'm so used to city prices. My drafts were $5 and $6! Steal for a big, delicious craft pour, in my opinion. Both beers were served by the awesome, quick, and attentive bar staff. There were only two folks serving the swarmed bar, and they were both incredibly efficient and friendly. They even filled up my empty water bottle with ice and water for my trek back to the beach! They know what they're doing here. DFH is a great place to cool off or chill out. I'd be keen to come back on a game day to watch sports on their giant projector screen or see some of the live bands they host. I didn't get my hands on any food, but based on the amount of people here at lunch, I can bet it's not too bad. read more

It brings me great sadness to post this review. I'm a huge DFH fan but the food at the brewpub is a crime against humanity and even an insult to the sisco truck or whatever supplier that must deliver their "Fresh ingredients." Without fail the food is either under down or cooked to death and I feel almost certain that meat glue is involved, even in their chicken. If you must eat, go for a pizza or something fried beyond recognition. And worst of all the beer is in my humble opinion not what it used to be. No Indian Brown, no April Hop, no Paulo Santo, and most of the IPAs taste remarkably similar. Don't even get me started on the sours. As a local, with a heavy heart, I've switched my loyalties to 2 other breweries who consistently seek to EARN my business. One is located in RB and the other in Berlin, MD. read more

Dogfish Head built a completely new restaurant next door and moved in. They will be turning the old location into a beer garden. The new building doesn't have the Dogfish Head feel, but is very open, has a stage, and a small upstairs dining area. They also have a pizza bar now. The beer selection is still fantastic. The food menu has changed and has less options. The food isn't bad, but I miss their old pizza and mac and cheese. The crust tasted better. Just like the old Dogfish, the wait for a table during dinner time is terrible. read more

This place is a must if you are a beer-lover and still should be high on your list even if you are not. It seems like the restaurant is always full and yet the service is so quick. We quickly get some fried pickle spears, which were top-notch. Your first instinct may be to sample some beers, perhaps even the aged bottles that are available from time to time. But I highly recommend the flight of liquor - its distilled by Dogfish! Get the pickle infused vodka, trust me. Also I think the Dogfish gin is the best gin i ever had, very juniper forward. I have to admit, I sampled so much booze that I do not specifically remember what other foods I tried. But I can tell you that my friend loved the softshell crab sandwich. read more
