I had to re-evaluate my critique of this establishment because Dok Khao cross-contaminated shell fish dishes with non-shell fish dishes. Most likely through their food handling or cooking utensils. I ordered a noodle dish with chicken, but my wife and I had an immediate allergic reaction after we tasted the dish. We are only allergic to shell fish, and WE can tell when there is shell fish in a food item. In addition, the noodles also smelled like shrimp. This sloppy food handling is common in a lot of Asian restaurants. I understand that time is critical, but no excuse to sacrifice safety over customer goodwill. I know this restaurant can be busy. To me, it started out pretty good; I hope Dok Khao becomes more attentive to customers who are allergic to shell fish. I contacted their management, but it was hard trying to convince them that their dishes were the source of our allergic reactions. I just won't chance it again. BTW, I lived and worked in Thailand and I really want to see a good Thai place where I live. There are none so far. read more

Food is tasty.....however... prices are ridiculous for quality and quantity. Ordered wonton soup which I've had many times ...suddenly container is half the size but price is same. Pad Thai w/shrimp literally had 3 - seriously, for $17? Rice noodles, sauce, and .50 of veggies. This is 2'd time ordering this dish it lacks protein for the hefty price. Lastly, I had garden delight , again 4-5 slices of THIN chicken breast and handful of veggies. I love Thai food and the flavors are good but the quality compared to price of the product is pure robbery with a smile. So happy this place opened up in Stonebridge. It's my new favorite place in the area - so refreshing to see NOT a chain open. But anyways, I'm a huge fan. Bottom line: Great service, great food, pretty ambiance It's very hard to go wrong with anything on the menu here, they cover all your Thai basics. The lunch special is pretty good for an app and an entree. I had the tofu wings and Pad See Ew with beef. The tofu wings are definitely worth a try and the Pad See Ew checked off all the boxes for me. For dinner, Crispy Duck Basil is my favorite Thai dish, and while this isn't my favorite rendition, it's not bad by any means. The duck is crispy and the flavors are all great. I just wish the portions were a little larger. And I like being able to see the whole pieces of sliced duck as opposed to individually fried pieces. But that's being nit-picky. Considering during this pandemic I am very impressed with how prepared they are with social distancing, the disposable utensils and serving us in a Togo container. My daughter and I decided to try out this Thai spot today for lunch. The inside of the restaurant was really cute and it felt "homey". We ordered spring rolls to start. They were good. The dipping sauce was perfectly tangy & sweet. The jasmine tea was delicious. My daughter got the crabmeat rice dish. I ordered yellow curry chicken. The food was delicious. The only thing I would change is to add more spice (heat) to my curry. I like it spicy but didn't think that there wouldn't be any in my dish. The waitress was very attentive and sweet. First the Dok Khao Pad Thai is perfectly prepared with sliced pork and chopped peanuts finishing the spices with a special deliciousness. The Crabmeat Fried Rice is loaded with lump crabmeat And not the imitation kind either. Hangover Lo Mein has scallops, shrimp, mussels, and squid all bathed in a nice spicey sinus clearing sauce. Their yellow curry is delicious and we always order that with just vegetables. For take out their packaging is second to none. I've never had spillage. Wish I can give no star at all. Went in to get seafood fried rice with addition of pork & tofu. They ended up giving me just the fried rice with just pork & tofu. Went back in to tell them,the lady was so very much aggressively rude argue. Paid extra again only to be giving chicken and pineapple (both of which I don't eat) fried rice not the seafood I paid for. Just finished eating here and had such a good experience. The ambiance is great and the service is excellent. Went here with my fiancé and my 1 1/2 yr old daughter (New Year day). It wasn't overly crowded and we were seated pretty quickly. We ordered the gyoza as an appetizer, Chicken panang and chicken fried rice for my little one. The food came out quick and was nice and fresh. The gyoza crunchy and flavorful, the panang was delicious and my daughter loved the chicken fried rice. I am super happy this place has finally opened. I think the prices are inflated due to the location. But, that alone wouldn't garner a 1-star review. No, the abhorrent customer service is what did it. My six-year-old and I just picked up a $33 order (Larb, Street Sausage, WonTon Soup) on a 90-degree day. As I pick up the order and pay, I ask: Me: "Can I have some water?" Dak Khao Employee: "We don't have water." Me: "You don't have water in the restaurant?" Dak Khao Employee: "We have water but only for sale." Me: "I'm not going to pay for a cup of water. What a great find in Woodbridge. Our usual Thai restaurant has not opened for dining in so we decided to look around. Yelp suggested Dok Khao. It's our new favorite. We started with the Healthy rolls with the somewhat spicy peanut sauce and they were singing. The Crab Rangoon was the best I've ever had. Crispy on the outside but sweet and creamy on the inside. Very tasty. We shared the OK Khao Pad Thai (owners recipe) and couldn't stop eating. We each had a glass of Plum Wine with dinner and for dessert we each had a glass of Thai Iced Coffee yum. The service was outstanding as was the environment. High ceilings give the place a spacious feeling and overall comfort. We will be going back quite often. read more

Just ordered two beef fried rice from here. I went to pick it up and the lady said the bill was about $50. It's usually around $40. When I asked why it costs this much today, the lady at the front told me they upcharged me $6 for asking for extra tomatoes. I told her no one told me there was a $6 up charge on tomatoes when I was ordering. She proceeded to speak very rudely and told me they could either take the tomatoes off the cooked fried rice or i could pay for the food. Needless to say I wont be back.
