Been trying to find a place with good pistachio ice cream. This one is not bad. Has good pistachio flavor. Many other places have very little flavor or very fake flavors with neon green colorings. The cookies and cream is lacking in flavor though. Maybe hit or miss on the flavors.

So good, I'm obsessed! Love their new monthly flavors, including the mini egg Oreo cheesecake. Love getting it in a cup with cone on top!

This is such a lovely ice cream place. I've always wanted to try it out and finally got to during the Italian day on commercial drive. They had a tent set up outside their store which was great so we were able to line up and get what we wanted. Unfortunately they only had a few flavours at their tent (including two V flavours) so we only got to choose from what they had unless we went inside the store to see more options. However what I can say is that the staff are wonderful and the gelato is even MORE DELICIOUS!

Absolutely amazing gelato! No doubt One of the finest gelatos in the city. Easily top 3. This place can easily give belle gelateria a run for their money! The dont have that much of an extensive menu, but what they have they focus on superior quality and consistency. Just like other places, you pay for what you want then sample anything your heart desires, before choosing your final order. Ive had gelato on the streets of italy and let me tell you, this place is really good. Its as if you are having gelato in italy. Very silky smooth and no lumps. Very rich and deep with flavour. Best priced gelato in vancouver. Wont break the bank for sure. But quality is excellent! Each flavour i have tried, you can really taste and saviur the advertised ingridient. Nothing is masked or hidden or gets lost in the flavours. You can even get a single cone with half and half flavour. Service is great and with a smile. Definitely a gem on the drive!

Best pistachio gelato ever! Must try, very reasonable for the quantity. Super nice ambiance :)

I've been to Dolce Amore many many years ago and decided to come back recently as I was on the Drive. Being the summer, there was quite a long lineup for Dolce Amore but it moved fairly quickly with friendly staff behind the counter. They have a lot of options for flavours and I decided on apple pie and pistachio. Both were very delicious and tasted very fresh. Highly recommended gelato on the Drive!

Finally got to try this place and was not disappointed. Got the kids size scoop (~4.50$) of GTL which was Toffee flavour. So rich, creamy, not TOO sweet which was good. The best part is they have all the allergens up on the board so picking something without nuts was much easier than asking the worker about every single flavour. They gave us samples as well :)

I love Gelatos! My best gelatos are still from Italy obviously! But now I can say Dolce Amore ranks as high as the Italian Gelatos from Italy. I took one scoop peanut butter with chocolate chip and my sister took two different scoops ofthe pistachio and raspberry lemonade. We were both in heaven! High points to the pistachio one; it is the best we ever tasted. The gelato parlor is adorable. The staff were sweet like the gelatos. This place is must for everyone who likes the best ice cream/gelatos!

Possibly the best gelato I've ever tried. It's very out of the way for me but one of my friends really wanted to try and so we came out, and I would absolutely come out again for them. I had a scoop of Lavender Buzz and a scoop of Brown Butter Pecan Toffee. Lavender Buzz (lavender with honeycomb and honey swirl) was my favourite because of how unique it was but both flavours were delicious. The texture of their gelato is so velvety and smooth, which is amazing by itself and highlighted by the crunchy flavour swirls. Prices aren't cheap but are on the lower side when it comes to gelato around here, and not a bad deal for the quality and big scoops.

A cute little Gelato shop located on commercial. Like many gelato/ice cream shops you can sample some of their ice cream. I've tried their blueberry mangia cheesecake, salted caramel and cioccolato. Since it was after lunch, I wanted something light and got the blueberry mangia cheesecake. It was on the sweet side but it was good and gotta love the Graham cracker crust!! If I wasn't so full or if it was at night, I'd definitely get the cioccolato, its super rich and yummy and perfect if you're craving chocolate. Salted caramel here is actually salted, so if you're a salted caramel person definetly get this! I did notice the vegan ice cream was quite popular but I didn't get to try it. Maybe next time!

Amazing ice cream with so many different flavours! I love how you can get two flavours for a single scoop and they are also really generous with their portions. Really friendly and efficient service even when it's super busy! Special shout out to the guy working at the counter on May 13 around 5 pm - he was really nice and awesome (I wish I got his name)!

The gelato was AMAZING!! I personally have never tried the tiramisu flavor before but it's now my favorite flavor. There portions are good sized for one person, and have lots of flavors to try. Hoping to visit again soon!

It was our first time having ice cream from Dolce Amore and it definitely won't be our last. This was honestly the CREAMIEST ice cream we've ever had! They have a large selection of flavours ranging from classic flavours to unique flavours. Also, look at how BIG these scoops are! P.S. There are holes on their tables to hold your cones, literally the best thing ever A single scoop costs $5.50 and you have a choice of getting it in a cup or cone.

The service was also great, with multiple people checking in on us. The corkage, at $20, is very reasonable and the restaurant even comp'ed our tiramisu! We will miss it once it is gone. The food was quite decent. I thought the prices were a bit inflated for just pasta, but the portion size was pretty massive -- most of us took leftovers to go. The sauces in general were a bit bland and the pasta was definitely cooked to beyond al dente, which isn't my preference for dried pasta. My friends and I recently shared a few dishes here, and while the flavors were truly impressive,…read morethe portion sizes left us wanting more. We started with the complimentary bread, which was a total highlight. Each person gets a fresh slice that has an incredible crust and a soft, pillowy center--dipping it into the oil and vinegar was the perfect way to start the meal. For our mains, the Gnocchi Asparagi e Funghi was my favorite - the gnocchi themselves were clearly handmade and had a great texture that didn't feel heavy. The earthy mushrooms and asparagus worked really well with the parmesan cream, which was rich but didn't overpower the other flavors. The Squid Ink Linguine ai Frutti di Mare was also solid; the lobster bisque base gave it a deep, savory saltiness that coated the clams, prawns, and scallops perfectly without making the dish feel too "fishy." We also tried the Candele Al Ragù D'Anatra. The duck ragu was tender and savory, and the combination of the parmesan fondue and aged asiago added a nice, sharp saltiness that made every bite really satisfying. Everything we ate was seasoned perfectly and tasted fresh, it's just a shame the portions were so small because the flavors were definitely there. The service was excellent and very attentive; I especially appreciated that they were constantly on top of refilling my water throughout the night. The ambience also hit the right note, making it a great spot for a night out. However, the portions are definitely on the smaller side and aren't super filling. Even though every dish tasted amazing, we weren't full by the end of the meal, so it's something to keep in mind if you're arriving with a big appetite.

Service was fabulous. Food was superb. The Tiramisu was simply to die for. Best we ever had.read more

We absolutely loved their house-made pasta during that visit, so we knew we had to return and explore more of the menu. Ambiance - 4/5 One of the things we appreciate most about this restaurant is the outdoor seating. On a beautiful day, it's a wonderful place to enjoy a meal, especially if you're dining with a dog. Being able to relax outside with our pup made for a very enjoyable experience. Service - 3/5 Service was friendly, but not quite as attentive as during our previous visit. Our server was pleasant, though there were a few missed opportunities to enhance the experience. For example, we weren't informed that alcohol could not be served in the outdoor dining area until after we had already started looking at the drink menu while we were in the middle of dining. Food - 4/5 The highlight of this restaurant continues to be its house-made pasta. The texture is wonderfully chewy and perfectly cooked, giving each dish a freshness that's difficult to find elsewhere. This visit, we tried the mushroom tagliatelle with truffle rosé sauce. While the description sounded incredible, the dish didn't quite live up to our expectations. It was enjoyable, but we still preferred the bolognese from our previous visit and cacio e pepe from this visit, both of which showcased the pasta more effectively. We also ordered the gnocchi, which was well prepared and satisfying to certain extent, but it didn't surpass our favorite one from San Francisco. The pesto sauce was just okay. If we order the gnocchi again, we'd likely try it with a tomato-based sauce instead. Overall Value - 4/5 This restaurant offers excellent value, particularly for pasta lovers. The quality of the house-made pasta alone makes it worth a visit, and there are still several dishes on the menu we're eager to try. We're already looking forward to returning and exploring more of what the kitchen has to offer.
