They have savory pies, but none on display and none listed on their menu. You have to ask what they have available, which others stand in line behind you waiting to order. Poor system. I figured out that you can get sausage with the biscuit, not because it was clear on the sign but because I asked. Why they melted cheese all over it, without telling me, without saying it on the menu, and without me wanting it, I don't know. Nice outside seating, but not much of it. read more

I've had Dollop before at a different location and maybe I just ordered the wrong drink but my seasonal pumpkin spice latte had absolutely no taste to it. There was no sign of pumpkin and not even much of a coffee flavor which was disappointing. As for the service it was pretty slow even though there were 3 people working behind the counter and there were barely any customers. I wasn't too impressed with my visit here but it is conveniently located a few minutes from the John Hancock and Water Tower mall. read more

If I lived in this Chicago neighborhood, Dollop would be my daily coffee fix. Unfortunately, I was only visiting for the weekend but still managed to fit 2 visits in to my Chicago experience. The iced chai is delicious - and I think the price is right for most of the drinks. The baked goods looked amazing - chocolate chip scones and beyond - but I didn't try any. Next time! It's not my favorite Dollop location (I prefer the Ohio Street one) but this spot has a little nicer ambience and the same great selection of Hoosier Mama goodies. My preference for Ohio Street is that "my" baristas work there but I'm sure if you came here often enough this place could be yours. When I visit Chicago I often stay in this neck of the woods, so I was pleased to see another breakfast/food/drink option open up as the hotel prices can be ridiculous. The folks were super friendly, they had nice indoor/outdoor seating areas and the coffee was full flavored and rich. Ordered a bagel with chive cream cheese and a slice of mushroom/gruyere quiche courtesy of Hoosier Mama Pie Company. The bagel was ok, the quiche was really good, with lots of earthy flavor from the abundant amount of mushrooms. The filling was soft, well seasoned, and the crust was tender and buttery. Dollop is certainly a nice addition to the neighborhood. read more

Cute coffee shop conveniently located close to our hotel and family. I had the Mexican latte and it was DELICIOUS! The barista was friendly and helpful. This place is a cute spot to grab coffee and a bite. It's small but the aesthetics are nice and pretty. I got the blueberry muffin which barely had any blueberries in it and also had a slight lemony taste. Honestly wasn't the moistest muffin, very basic. However I enjoyed the chocolate chip scone with my hot cup of coffee! Wasn't too sweet and had a biscuity texture to it! Nice quite place to do your work and meet friends. I love there blueberry cupcakes. They are low in sugar and very fresh. One of the best coffees there to me, unlike any other coffee shop is the Berried Alive. The next time you are in the neighborhood, you must visit them and try the Berried Alive. This review is solely based on their cold brew, chive turkey sandwich (off-menu at this location), and Mexican cookie. Cafe Integral and Dollop probably hold the title for best cold brew in the city at the moment. While the Ohio Street Dollop is bigger, this location never closes their sandwich bar and everyone is always super accommodating and nice when I ask them for the signature sandwich from the Ohio Street location. Ohio Street always closes their sandwich bar super early. This location is also hidden within a fancy high rise, so it's easy to get work done here. It's not nearly as cool as the inside of the Dearborn location (love that building), but it's my favorite hangout of the three Chicago locations I regularly visit, especially since it's a quick cut behind the MOCA to get to Kellogg. read more

This is mostly a review about the location, FYI. Food: Dollop ALWAYS has good food and coffee. I especially love going back for the Hoosier Mama pies. Yum! However -- The space: Oh Dollop, why oh why does your business insist on getting the most uncomfortable chairs? At this location, the wooden stools at the "bar" looking out the window have sharp edges. (It's similar to the ones at the Streeterville location.) They aren't wide enough to support a behind comfortably either and I'm not that big a person. Someone from Dollop, please try sitting on a stool for about 30 minutes and see how it feels. :( The seats outside are definitely more comfortable and I would be sad to see those go once it starts getting too cold to hang out outdoors. (Another thing, when you're eating outside, watch out for the drippage coming from the airconditioning units above.) Wifi is free and reliable. I will go back just for the coffee and goodies but the seating situation is bad enough for me to just choose a different spot to get my caffeine fix. read more

This coffee shop is tucked in the lobby of the apartment building. There isn't a ton of seating, but the baristas are kind and knowledgeable about what coffee they offer. The coffee is really good. Not a fan. The shop was cute but the cold brew was very sub par. Cold brew the is best when you use fresh beans and brew for at least 20 hours to get intensely flavorful yet smooth coffee. This cold brew tasted like water downed old drip coffee. This review is only based on the cold brew so if you do come here definitely don't get that. I would suggest to the owner to use more beans, brew longer, or don't water down the cold brew. read more
