We had a very good and delicious meal here. We also got pleasant and efficient service from Matthew, our waiter. We came for lunch. Their lunch menu has slightly smaller portions which was perfect for us. I should note that starting in June, they will be only open for lunch during the summer months on Saturdays and Sundays (closing for lunch during the week). Plus their regular dinners, of course. We started with a couple warm from the oven garlic rolls. Then we each chose the creamy Italian dressing with our side salads. The dressing was a nice combination with the fresh mixed greens (no frisée here thankfully), slices of cucumber and chopped tomato and carrot shavings. After that, my husband had their rigatoni bolognese. It was a meat packed sauce over perfectly cooked pasta. This shape pasta was just the right style to enclose some of the sauce inside the "tubes". I had their lobster ravioli. Slightly al dente pasta filled with a lobster mousse and topped with a creamy pale red sauce. Yum. Even though there were only 4 ravioli to the serving, by then I was quite full, and brought two of them home with me. My husband also took half his pasta home as well. We sat on the smaller bar side of the restaurant. A bit cozier. The main dining room is huge! And can handle large family groups and organizations with no problem. We felt the prices were very reasonable, the food wonderfully prepared, and the service lovely. We hope they find a home here -- as we look forward to returning with friends.

Five Star lunches are hard to find, but Dom Caruso fits and hits a Fiver! My wife had bookmarked this place and we stopped in for lunch today. Lunch specials a plenty, with sandwiches, salads and pasta dishes. Service is great! Matthew seated us immediately and gave us the menus to look over as he went to bring out water. Matthew also brought us Garlic rolls straight from the kitchen. I went with the Rigatoni Bolognese and Creamy Italian salad dressing, Wonderful. My Bolognese was very generous with the meat in a tasty red gravy. The pasta was perfect! Great food, Service and atmosphere with reasonable lunch prices!

We tried the New Courtyard Cafe at Dom Caruso's Cucina on Thanksgiving Day. I had lentil soup, turkey, stuffing, green bean casserole, roasted herb potatoes and for dessert, pumpkin pie. My sister had a salad, ham steak (with cherry pineapple glaze), corn casserole, steamed broccoli and for dessert, pumpkin pie. All the food was delicious! Our waitress, Selena was great, she checked on us several times. There was a good number of customers, so I appreciate Selena gave us so much of her time and attention. I felt the place had a nice laid back ambiance with music at a low volume so we could speak to each other. I recommend you give the New Courtyard Cafe at Dom Caruso's Cucina a try!

    Very hard, small garlic rolls

Four of us had a disappointing dinner on a busy opening weekend. I believe they need to work the kinks out. I'll review again after a few months to be fair. Everything was pretty mediocre. The complementary garlic rolls were small and tough. Perhaps over cooked. If you replace Bona's restaurant you better have top notch garlic rolls! The house salad was very plain with the thinnest cucumbers I have ever seen. Our serving for two came with an unremarkable dressing in a tiny plastic container. I will skip this $12 charge next time. The Salsiccia (sausage, peppers, mushrooms) pizza was incredibly dry. It definitely needs tomato sauce or something. I needed several water refills to eat it. The other entrees - chicken Marsala and carbonara were very, very ordinary. Not worthy of the $26, $25 prices. The dining room needs a refresh too! I hope they can do much better moving forward.

We had a 60th birthday party for 11 people. Cheryl and Will did a fabulous job as our servers. The food came out perfectly. They know how to handle a small to a large party. Bon appétit !

The Ice Water was delicious. The food is very similar to Bonas. I wasn't made about what I ordered..

What a night! All started with a smiling "WELCOME!" At the door. Front end redone looks so nice. Can still see the kitchen, just not in your face. Looks great. Dom right up front! Taking the delicious hot (soon to be garlic) rolls out of the oven, THEN Sheryl!! She has been with this location for 25 years! I always said she'd be there long after the owner left, and she's been through 3 others! Same regulars nodding as they were seated. New full liquor license and 'party room' can be reserved. Lovely art on the walls which they switch out every month or so with local artists work. I knew I'd love the food, which is different from the prior Bona recipes, as I frequented Dom's old place. I loved the food! . Started with Calamari which was a lightly dredged and fried mix of whole/tenacle rings with marinara. Delicious. It was upstaged by the bruchetta!! So special and different fresh tomatoes and red onion and shaved freshly Parmesan. And the glaze was amazing. The Shrimp Scampi has a hint of pepper flake so be warned of a little kick (can request no pepper) the sauce was a bit creamy and I loved it!! Remember to ASK about your favorite foods as the servers are more than willing to explain your choices, as Doms recipes differ a bit. Delicious but if you want the white bean pasta fagioli you're in for a surprise. In its own it was delish beef broth and kidney beans but not what I was anticipating. It was QUICKLY remedied with a perfectly fresh Caesar salad with fresh shaved parm and crunchy homemade croutons. No Italian meal with friends is complete without dessert! The cannolis were crunchy and yummy!! This is a great new place on the drive in Wilton Manors. Welcome to Dominic!!

This place is in the old Bona space. To my relief it is just as good. If you liked Bona then you will love this place. They still have the garlic knots, still have the meal deal which comes with salad and pasta (the menu says, salad, garlic knots or pasta, should be and pasta, Im told they are being reprinted). Some of the servers are still the same. The good thing is the menu has expanded. Its much more expansive than the Bona. Staff were friendly and service was great, despite the fact that it was packed. I know why. We came early. Seeing how packed it was I would highly recommend reservations.

Went late during lunch time. Place was empty except for one other person. Service was quick. I knew what I wanted to ordered since I viewed menu online. Ordered the lunch special of lobster ravioli accompanied with a small salad and two garlic rolls for $10.00. It was a nice portion for the price. I will visit again for dinner very soon.

Description We can across this place, well my husband did on…read moreIG a few months back of someone showing the cheesesteaks so we finally got a chance to go. As soon as you walk in you smell the smell of pizza. We were greeted by the owner who was kind and we had conversation with. He mentioned how he from Maine and his family has been in the restaurant business as well as himself for basically his whole life. Once you walk in there's a cashier where you can order and to the right there's a fridge with water sodas and different root beers you can get as well. Once you order there's an entrance to the left with tables and arcade games with tables where you can sit and dine in. I appreciate everything you did for us brian and it was a pleasure meeting you and getting to try the food your restaurant offers. We will be returning again due to the deliciousness of the food we tried the drive from Miami was worth it. What I ordered/tried From Brian's Boston beef sandwiches part of the menu we had north shore 3 way beef Boston beef. This is not my to go choice but it was amazing I would actually go back to try this again. My husband loved it and so did I. It's a bit spicy like very mild where you feel the spice but not where you're regretting life and needing to drink something. We also tried the Philly cheesesteak. This was definitely worth it as well. My husbands stated to being on a mission for the best Philly cheesesteak which is why we ended up here and says this is first spot at the moment and I don't disagree. We also tried the Batman and robin which is like the Philly cheesesteak but it has chicken in it as well. This was as delicious. The truffle fried with garlic aioli was a hit as well and finally two desserts a strawberry cheesecake and chocolate cake made by his wife who is a pastry chef. Both were good but the chocolate cake was *chefs kiss*. Value The value for the food is comparable to other places. Nothing expensive or out of this world and worth the size of food received. Ambiance/Crowd We went mid rain so it wasn't full people were mostly doing pick up or to go orders from what I saw. It's a casual place so leggings jeans is a good attired. There are a few arcade games that can be played including a two player pac man game. Service The service was great? Expectacular? Amazing? These words don't even describe the amazing service we received. We met and spoke to Brian (sorry for not know the spelling) who is the owner and from Maine who spoke to us a little bit about the opening of wicked cheese steak and was very nice to have conversation with. The two workers in the kitchen were kind as well. Parking The restaurant is part of a shopping center so there is free parking we went kind of during the rain so the lot was fairly empty but I'm not sure how it would be on a normal day. 6 year olds thought corner He got some chicken tenders. He says they were delicious. My husband tried a bite of them too and said they were good.

We were greeted by the gracious Owner made sure we were seated in a table that we liked, and then immediately we were brought freshwater and a complementary alcohol free Mojito, which was absolutely wonderful. When our dinner was delivered at first glance, it seemed as if the servings were small. And they are too small to share, but as a single meal, it was completely satisfying. It came out warm, fresh and plated beautifully. My sweetheart and I were in the mood for dessert so we ordered the bread pudding and we were going to share it, but when the waiter brought back a dessert, it was two servants courtesy again of this gracious Owner. Define a spot like this a true oasis in a busy, noisy Jody Plaza with white tablecloths and a gracious Owner and beautiful artwork I know for sure that we will be back to enjoy more of their delicious food!

From the moment you walk in, you're greeted by the owner himself, who is incredibly kind and welcoming. He takes the time to talk with you and recommends dishes he thinks you'll enjoy, which made the experience feel very personal. As a Cuban-American, I've eaten at countless Cuban restaurants, and this is the closest I've ever come to food that truly tastes like my abuelita's cooking. Everything was that good. In fact, my husband and I loved it so much that after going for lunch, we ended up coming back again for dinner the same day. The ambiance is warm and home-like. You'll hear Andrea Bocelli playing softly while you sit surrounded by the paintings on the wall and soft lighting, which makes the whole place feel cozy but still special. It was also my husband's first introduction to Cuban food, and I couldn't have asked for a better place for him to experience it. I'm honestly surprised this restaurant doesn't have more traction because it absolutely deserves it. If we're ever back in the area (we were here for our honeymoon) we will definitely be returning. I would recommend Mario's to anyone and everyone looking for authentic Cuban food and a genuinely welcoming atmosphere. You will love Mario and every item offered here!
