    Potato & Egg Salad ($15.50)
    Elena N.

Date: Wednesday, April 8th, 2026 Meal: Lunch Delivery Ordered Thru: DoorDash DashPass Time Placed: around 2pm Arrived: about 45 mins later Neighborhood Delivered to: Outer Richmond *Potato & Egg Salad ($15.50) *Straight Matcha ($6.25) - Iced, Less Ice, No Sweet *Regulatory Bag Fee ($0.25) *Long Distance Fee ($1.99) *Service Fee ($1.99) *Tax ($1.41) *Discount (-$10.88) I was on an egg salad sandwich kick and decided to try Tadaima. I had heard good things and the pictures looked promising. I believe DD was having some kind of deal, so I was able to get the discount above. Worth it since the sando is typically almost $16. So if you are ordering thru DD, make sure it's when they are doing a discount. It might coincide with HH pricing between 2pm and 5pm on the site. The sando was creamy and soft. Just what I wanted in terms of texture. A good size as well. My only gripe is it was sweet. I don't mind a hint of sweetness, but it was a lil too sweet for me. Otherwise I enjoyed he flavors. Was very happy to have a fluffy soft sando. Great spot for their egg sandos. I just wish it wasn't so sweet. REVIEW #4044

    Matcha w/ Strawberry Cream

Perfect strawberry cream matcha latte - one of the best I've tried in the city. The lines can be long so keep that in mind but it moves quickly and is worth the wait. I loved the strawberry cream foam on top but I wish it was 50% less sweet. It could easily be my new goto matcha spot in the city.

Tried Tadaima for the first time for a pickup order. The food is really tasty, though a bit pricey. We ended up staying at the shop for a bit because we decided to order more, which turned out to be a good thing, we realized our order was actually incorrect. We were given an Unagi Musubi without the avocado, and one bacon, spam and egg musbi was missing entirely. Luckily, since we were still there, we were able to get it sorted out quickly. Definitely recommend checking your bag before you leave! Also, a small note on the Spam Musubi with Avocado: it tasted great, but the avocado had already turned black. It would be a huge improvement if these were made fresh to order to keep the avocado fresh. Great flavors overall, just keep an eye on your order details!

Tadaima is a great spot for matcha! The service is great all the cashiers that have taken my order have been very sweet. It's a small space with a couple seats inside and very little standing room but it's cute dark green and natural wood asthetic. I would recommend any of their matchas and chicken sando. I especially love the pistachio matcha latte. I haven't had any of their fruit Sandos so I can't say for those. But generally their milk bread is so fluffy and they don't skip on meat. I've tried their shrimp and pork katsu sandwiches but by the time I tried them they were cold and a little hard so the savory Sandos are very much made to eat asap imo. The misubis and onigiris aren't really that good and aren't worth the price imo but are very filling if you want a quick snack. Overall, I love coming here and bringing friends to try the matcha!

A nice cafe walking distance to Dolores Park. I got a Strawberry Matcha and a Hojicha cream top latte and both were solid. Also got some of the onigiri to go and they were good too. I think it's a nice, quick spot to stop by on the way to the park to enjoy drinks and a snack. P.S. they give out free stickers so go grab one!

It was okay, I added no sugar and got a strawberry matcha with almond milk. Could've been better but the spam was very delicious super busy on the weekends so make sure you get there early! Will come back to try something else in the menu though!

I highly recommend the strawberry matcha. Perfectly sweet and tasty! They sell spam musubi too! The shop is small, mainly a to go joint. There is some seating outside. Parking is limited. Definitely worth visiting if you enjoy matcha!

I would definitely come back to Tadaima, but not necessarily for the matcha. Our drinks were good with no real complaints, but the standout of the visit was the sando. I've heard this place can get quite busy, but since I'm visiting from out of town, I came on a Friday right around opening and it was pretty manageable. There were only a few people ahead of us and we were able to grab window seating inside, which was perfect. The katsu sando was phenomenal. One issue I often run into with Japanese-style sandos in the U.S. is the bread. It can be dry or not quite the soft milk bread texture you'd expect, but that wasn't the case here. The bread was soft and slightly thicker, which worked well with the fillings. The karaage was incredibly tender and juicy while still crispy, and the slaw and sauces added a really nice balance of savory sweetness and acidity. The drinks were well made and tasted high quality, but next time I'd definitely focus more on trying additional food items.

I've kept hearing about Tadaima and finally got to check them out! I went with the salted cream Matcha bc I really wanted to try their matcha authentically. It was good. The salted cream kindve sunk to the bottom so next time I think I would stir then drink unless you like it separate. I also tried the spam musabi which was really good. The texture of the rice was perfect was good and the spices from spam and egg blended well with the rice. I also tried soft shell onigilly Which was soo fire! I had to buy two bc I guess you can only in pairs so I got the yuzu salmon. A little dry for my liking. I've heard each location has different food menus so maybe I'll try out the other locations but I thought their matcha was pretty standard.

    Meaning of Tadaima
    Melissa L.

Tadaima is a Japanese phrase that translates to "I'm home" or "I'm back" in English. While I probably wouldn't be back so soon, the concept, drinks, and food is good for a quick bite but at a pretty high typical Bay Area cost. F O O D: We tried the egg & potato sandwich, the pineapple & tonkatsu sandwich, miso snow crab onigiri, and mushroom & pickled daikon onigiri. Both of the onigiri were a flop, the crab was too fishy and the mushrooms lacked flavor. Both needed an additional sauce or something to be worth their cost. The egg & potato sandwich does have a runny yolk in the center so I wasn't a fan but my bf loved it. I enjoyed the tonkatsu sandwich with its sweet pineapple and aoili. However, at the end of the day, it's just sandwiches so the cost was too much for it to be worth it to me. I would come here again probably for the drinks if I was a total matcha fan. D R I N K S We tried the Matcha Latte w/ Pistachio Cream and the Something and Nothing Hibiscus & Rose soda. The matcha latte's pistachio cream with a pinch of pistachio crumbles on top was a great addition to their creamy matcha! We were genuinely impressed by Something and Nothing's Hibiscus & Rose soda as it had no fake ingredients and it was low calorie! I would definitely get this soda over mainstream sodas on the market. S E R V I C E The service is quick and friendly, although it definitely has a bit of that Gen Z stare going on. Orders are prepared quickly and efficiently. A M B I A N C E Modern feel, trendy vibe, chic take on sandos, classic matcha place feel. There is only seating for two at a table and two at a bar facing the street window. There's a bit of seating outside but it was too chilly to stay. No outdoor heating lamps.

Tried the chicken filet karage and it was delicious! The chicken was fried to perfection and the bread was pillowy soft. The filing was tasty as well.

St. Patricks Day has arrived and it's going to be another hot day in San Francisco. There is a place to grab something green and refreshing to drink in the Mission. This location is first store to open and now has three total stores all across San Francisco. This place also has hojicha, musubi, onigiri, and sandwiches. This has become a staple for Japanese matcha especially for Don Juan de la Matcha. Growing up in the Mission and seeing the growth of the neighborhood has made me proud to seeing businesses offering great quality matcha. The namesake means I am home in Japanese and it's called Tadaima. On a Mission stroll in my old stomping grounds a place I always call home I went to get some green drink at Tadaima. Don Juan de La Matcha had to get some green matcha drink for St. Patrick's Day. I got the Matcha Latte with salted cheese cream. The drink was smooth not too sweet and a bit cheesy like some in SF. I then I got the chicken karaage sando and it was savory and the chicken had a bit of a crunchy batter it had house sauce and had a purple colored cabbage. Overall a good place to pick up matcha in the Mission because I feel Tadaima , I am home. On my social media I see lots of food reviewers " theatrics" hats off to the real and not those trying to do some " hat tricks" like adding too much sauce which is exaggeration and fabrication really stains your " fabrics" of truth and the best you can do is get some green and clean matcha for " St. Patrick's " In San Francisco all roads lead to Mission street just like "Rome "when in the city where I "roam"to grab some matcha topped with some cheese "foam" at Tadaima which in Japanese means "I am home"

    Jason Q.

One of the best matchas I've tried in the Bay Area hands down. I really loved the cream they added on top, really puts everything together. The cafe is quite small inside so when it gets busy it's get cramped inside. The service was simple quick and easy. I ordered the iced matcha latte with pistachio cream and also the iced matcha latte with the salted cream. Both were really good but I would say my personal favorite of the two is the iced matcha latte with pistachio cream. Both drinks were still very enjoyable and satisfying. Overall I give this cafe a 5/5 star review just because the matcha was that good and I want to go back already!

We got the tebasaki, pork jowl, and ceviche to share. I really enjoyed the tebasaki and ceviche. The seaweed or nori rice cracker with the ceviche paired really well. The tebasaki was so flavorful. The kimchi that came with the pork jowl was pineapple and pear based. I was expecting actual kimchi and was surprised that it was sweet. The service was good and the place has great vibes. The cold noodle non alcoholic drink was very savory, tasted heavily of seaweed. It was an interesting drink that I've never tasted before. My friend got the matcha fizz with a shot of alcohol, which tasted amazing. I will be getting that next time. The expresso martini tasted a bit watered down. It turns into a cafe during the day time and they are known for their matcha drinks.

We were celebrating my son's graduation, and the personalized menu the restaurant prepared for him was a thoughtful touch. The clear standouts were the chicken karaage and duck salad. The karaage was crispy, juicy, and universally loved at the table. The duck salad was the best dish of the night, an easy 5/5. The panna cotta and cheesecake were also excellent and worth ordering. Several highly recommended dishes were less impressive. The Negima yakitori was solid but forgettable, while the black cod was good without being remarkable (3.5/5). The sashimi moriawase offered good variety for the price, but the fish was sliced paper-thin and lacked any standout pieces. Having recently dined at Sushi Sam, the difference in quality was noticeable. I'd rate it 3/5. The Kurobuta tonkatsu was the biggest letdown. The breading was soggy and failed to adhere well to the meat. I'd skip it entirely. For drinks, the Ume Shu Fizz was refreshing and easily the best choice. The sake and beers were fine but unmemorable. The rice and udon are also easy to pass on. They're decent but nothing special. Don't waste your stomach quota on those. Overall, Rintaro pairs excellent service with a handful of standout dishes, but too many of its most-hyped items underdeliver. Glad we have tried it.

I personally prefer a little more privacy while dining, so that took away from the experience. I won't comment on the wait time because that's pretty normal for popular restaurants in San Francisco. The highlight of the meal was definitely the A5 Wagyu Ramen. It was absolutely delicious and worth ordering. The flavors were amazing, and I would highly recommend it to anyone visiting. Overall, the food was outstanding, and despite the seating arrangement, I would gladly return.
