We ordered the surf and turf, eggrolls, you spell birria quesadilla, and shrimp and Birria quesadilla. i was a little worried because i thought it was a little pricey- wrong again! The portion sizes are huge! Be forewarned those egg rolls are super filling and i should have just stopped there. i could barely eat thr quesadilla so i only had a slice.. i ordered a bowl to go with a drink. improvements need to be made for the wait list and reservations.. or maybe it's time to open a few more locations..even with the crazy wait i would go back and that's saying something.. Food was very good! Service was great and the ambiance was loud and active but just what we were looking for on this particular night. We had the steak and shrimp egg rolls as well as the Barria egg rolls which were delicious. We also ordered the bacon wrapped jalapenos which I didn't care for at all, they're stuffed with cheese and topped with cheese, no cream cheese. They were also still hard after being deep fried. The food is amazing but the wait time can be brutal due to how many people are in the establishment, especially if it's a large party they have. The ambiance is very welcoming to seeing servers come out playing the drums and having noise makers to a servers table to wish their customer a happy birthday. Regardless of the wait time, I feel like there should be listed on open table be or large parties should be given a time limit due to other coming in. But if you haven't been yet, go. The food and drinks are not a disappointment. They even have a burrito on a flaming skillet that's my next try when I go back. read more

I placed my order online for pick up on the day of my birthday. I was super excited to try to surf and turf, egg rolls! To my surprise, I received a call when the food was ready. I really appreciated it because it took the guess work out of the experience. When I arrived, there was a fender bender in the parking lot. The people were reluctant to move, which gave me a negative view of the restaurant parking situation however, when I got on the inside, it wasn't any better. There were quite a few people waiting to be seated. The inside is urban graffiti decor, music is loud, people loud and the drinks are flowing. This is not a place for children. I recommend that you call in your order if you're pressed for time or looking for peace. Pros: This was my first time visiting Dona Leti's, and I loved it! The food and drinks were good!! I'm a drAnker, so the drinks weren't that strong to me, but for my friends, the drinks were good & strong. I ordered the Surf-n-Turf Eggrolls. When I think of eggrolls, I think of small chinese eggrolls as an appetizer. Oh no, these eggrolls were so big that I couldn't even eat all of them! We had a nice waiter and they also played good music. Cons: The parking is terrible at the location on Washington. Be prepared to valet. I went on a Thursday, around 2:00, for happy hour, and the wait was long. I can only imagine what it's like on the weekend. read more

I love this place! They have never let me down, every time I go; food is flavorful and their servings are large portions. My family from out of town/out of the country ALL said they wanted to go back again. We sit at the bar to jump the line if possible but I've also ordered take out and it's just as good. Staff is very considerate and welcoming. It's like they're all cousins and welcoming you into their family's place. This is my 1st time visiting the new location. While the service and atmosphere was excellent, the food quality is nothing like it was at the old location. Me and my guest were disappointed with our food. The surf and turf egg rolls were dry and he said the same about his enchiladas. They now give you salsa in a to go cup which is tacky and ridiculous. When they use this as a tactic to save money and cut corners just tells me they are cutting corners on the food quality as well. I been to the other location and was hoping for the same or similar experience. There's parking available and the place is a decent size. A few booths, some tabletops and a pool table. Sit yourself as you walk in. They could definitely add more sitting. As i said I was hoping for the same or similar service as the other location but it was the opposite. After sitting for about 18 mins watching the waiter walk back and forth; i got his attention to order. He said "oh you ready?!?" The chips and salsa were really good. I really enjoyed the green salsa. got the mini tacos de pastor and my mom got the fajita nachos. The tacos were good but not out of this world. It did not come with salsa so I used the salsa from the chips. The fajita nachos were good as well, it was a large serving. Our server was nice but forgot our drinks and remembered once we reminded him as I saw him go make them after the reminder. Our drinks didn't come out until halfway into eating our meals. He was very friendly but unfortunately very chit chatty with other tables (he even sat down with them to talk lol) which in turn took him a while for our to go cups and to bring us the check. The horchata was really good but the strawberry horchata tasted overly sweet and it was definitely a strawberry slushie. BIG BROTHER LITTLE BROTHER My younger brother, his wife, and I visited this establishment recently because our older brother along with his wife were visiting from Dallas, Texas and his wife was dying to give this restaurant a try while in town. Although it's about an hour drive from my neck of the woods, I didn't mind the drive, especially if it meant spending time with my long lost brother from another mother. Service was extremely slow. It took forever for us to receive our drinks after placing our orders. Our waiter, Eric, was very friendly and nice. However, he failed at being attentive, leaving us hanging out on a limb throughout the duration of our dining experience. For our drinks, the ladies ordered the watermelon Margarita with Don Julio added for an additional nine bucks and the Jamaican Lizard Watermelon Margarita. They were absolutely delicious and amazingly strong! Both my brothers ordered a Liquid Marijuana Margarita and the Corona Sunset Margarita. Everyone enjoyed their drinks across the table. The only down-side to our enjoyment was that we needed water to help with our massive liquor indulgence, but like I said before, our waiter failed at being attentive and was MIA majority of the time, so we were lacking the water that we so desperately needed. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I thought that it was a mandatory and automatic gesture for a restaurant to serve their guests water upon being seated, or at least offer it. As for the food, I ordered the three Shrimp Quesabirria Taco platter, both of my brothers ordered the Texas Burrito, which was humongous, and my sister-in-laws ordered the Pastor Burrito plate, and the three Fajita Beef Enchiladas plate. All entrees were accompanied by Spanish rice and vegetables. In addition to that, my platter was also accompanied with a small bowl of ramen soup and a grilled-cheese-stuffed bacon-wrapped jalapeño. Since I only consume pork once a year, I passed it on to my eagerly awaiting younger brother who desired it. I can honestly report that the food was absolutely delectable! Everyone was fat-full and highly satisfied with their meal and drinks! Overall, the dining experience was a pleasant one. The ambiance of the restaurant is a family-oriented vibe with noisy music blaring over everyone's conversation. As a result of the tone-deafening music, the guests were forced to speak in ear-splitting volumes, shouting at one another. Since I have a boisterously loud family, I was cool with the noise, especially since the tunes that were blaring loudly were the sounds of the GREAT AND LATE TEJANO SUPERSTAR, SELENA QUINTANILLA!!! In addition to the booming music, the colorful and bright decor of the restaurant created a sense of happiness, togetherness, and culture! The atmosphere was a fun and exciting one! I would love to give them a five-star rating, but the service was extremely and tediously slothful! They need much improvement in that area. Other than that, the place is pretty solid. They were a full house during our entire visit, so I guess they're popular. I'm not familiar with the area and this was my first time ever hearing of this establishment by way of my sister-in-law. Hey first I would like to say the food is good. However, today when I took my aunt who birthday was today to enjoy the Leti's experience it was an epic failure. We had a waiter by the name of Raevan and her customer service was awful. The waiter Raevan was normal at first but when them orders came in and my aunts was not right, instead of her listening to what was ordered she walked away in the mist of my aunty by the way who turned 65 was talking with her about what she actually ordered. (shrugged shoulders and was very rude) I then walked up and asked the workers to speak with supervisor and explained to her what has just happened. (short lady with glasses) She said she would take care of what has just happened and never did. She not once spoke with the waiter or checked in to make sure that my aunt was good. By the way she never gave her what she ordered so my aunt just took what was given and I did as well consider my order was incorrect as well. Next when the ticket came and when she showed me my total, I explained what I ordered once again, and Raevan argued that I ordered what she gave me. Instead of arguing I said baby let me give you a word of advice always listen to your customers and repeat their orders to make sure it's right. She walked away talking noise and starting to talk with other workers at the restaurant. At this point I was like omg she is really being rude she must think I'm young and I am 45, babbbbyyy she yelled I don't care how old you are that was the last straw. Spoke with a new manager who had no clue of her negative behavior and explained to her how she behaved and how my aunt was very uncomfortable. She said she will deal with it and while we were talking instead of them having Raevan sit out, she was walking around giving others the Leti birthday experience which was so rude and unfair. In the end my aunt ticket of $19 was comp which is not enough for me, and she charged me for what I ordered. Money is not the issue, but I felt that at an establishment like that customer service should not be rude, embarrassing and disrespectful with no apologies from the waiter at all. Was trying to find some good Tex-Mex for delivery and came across Dona Letis. Food was packaged very well, and was still warm when delivered. I have never saw a burrito so big and it was delicious! I enjoyed the flavors of the surf and turf burrito with cosumme', and my spouse loved the fajita torta. Prices were reasonable. I seen this place on tiktok and had to try it! It lives up to the hype. My birria tacos were PACKED with meat and cheese. They were flavorful and when dipped in the consume they were perfection! The noodles in the consume were mushy and disgusting! I was really looking forward to the jalapeño poppers but the bacon was soggy and undercooked. Their alcoholic beverages are poured strong so be prepared for a nice buzz! The plates and bowls they use are very pretty! It's the small touches that count here. They must've been short staffed or something that day because it took 30 minutes before someone even greeted us. I work in the service industry, so I know what it's like. My friend recommended this place as a hidden gem we had to try. From the outside you don't really know what to expect but once you see the menu you know it's going to be good. We had a little trouble getting seated because all of our party hadn't arrived even though the restaurant wasn't full, but other than that everything went well. Off the bat as soon as you enter the location on Post Oak, you might feel you entered into a third world country. The decorations are somewhat outdated. The music is very diverse and somewhat loud. The food portions are huge so be sure to be hungry when you come. The taste and tenderness of the meat was delicious and definitely makes up for the look of the place! We stopped in on our mini vacay after seeing Tik Tok videos raving about the surf and turf egg rolls. This place is unreal, those were the best egg rolls I've ever had in my life. The food came out fast and hot, it was even pretty busy for being a Wednesday lunch at 1pm! I highly suggest sharing because the portion sizes are huge. We got the kids nachos, and thankfully my kids shared and still couldn't finish them! My husband and I shared the birria burrito and we didn't even finish half of the burrito! The food was good but the notable thing about our experience was the lady who came and asked to take a picture of the group of girls I was with. We assumed this was someone doing promotion for their social media so we mindlessly said yes. She proceeded to take pictures of us, even having us change seating for lighting and making us do different poses... to the point where it was extremely uncomfortable. She comes back with framed photos of us and telling us it's $20 a frame. After we were very clear we aren't interested she continues to try to sell us on the framed pictures of us at the table.
