Decent sushi for a small town. Rolls have plenty of sauce and flavors. There are many cooked roll options so little one and hubby enjoyed it. Service is ok. Calamari roll: the little one thoroughly enjoy and ate everything in a timely manner which is a rare occurrence. She rated it 5 stars. Dynamite roll: 4 stars. Decent. Had plenty of scallops on top. I felt there were lots of sauces so it kinda took over everything. Green dragon: 4 stars. Got to say it was good considering that I didn't get too much of that "eel" taste so it tasted pretty fresh. Newport Beach: 3 stars. Ok. Didn't care for the bake salmon as much but the hubby and little one liked it.

Top row left to right : chicken cutlet, avocado roll, salad Bottom row left to right : mixed tempura and rice

This place is so good!! I got the lunch special, in the picture is the chicken cutlet, avocado roll, and mixed tempura. It came with the rice, salad and miso soup. I don't even really like miso soup and it was tasty. The servers are friendly and welcoming and our food came out quick. Everything came out warm and it all tasted great! You can sit at the bar or pick any table. They played good music and not too loud. They also gave me a free roll to try and it was also really good.

    Good to the last drop.

Well, well, well...... Guess where I am???? Yes, Dong Hae!! Trust me. The build up was worth it! Today I went with my niece and nephew. Sashimi galore!. The chefs brought us complementary seaweed salad and baked rolls. Such a nice treat. Salad was refreshing in between bites of fish. I enjoyed a Kylo Ren roll. Fresh tuna, cucumber, and avocado wrapped in rice paper. So good. It is not shrouded with rice. I can taste each flavor. My family had Salmon Sashimi that seriously melted in our mouths. There is a variety of Japanese beers and domestics to choose from. The service is great. I'm sure I'll be back in a couple of days. Enjoy your meal and Look for me.

Very good lunch spot and great friendly sushi chefs. Chef turned me on to a couple samples. The Lunch special consisted of a salad rice and your choice of three items off the menu they choose great value for what you get @$12.50. I chose spicy tuna roll, shrimp tempura, &chicken teriyaki. Also had the baked spicy salmon roll which was very tasty. The only minus was the Ahi tuna in the spicy tuna roll was slightly grainy in texture which should have been smooth and tender.

    Clean fast moving kitchen!

The family and I are so glad this spot is open again. We've come here for years and seen a few other sushi places (in town) come and go. Food quality and service has been pretty consistent here all the times we've come. A nice treat, that happens on occasion when you sit @ the sushi bar, is the chef(s) will give you a little treat on the house. Yummy food, big windows to see the busy world outside and plenty of choices to eat and/or drink. Cant miss stop if living locally, or visiting town.

The Chimichanga with salmon, albacore, snapper and a yummy cilantro sauce.

Back again, Came at lunch, Juneteenth week. The place is busy but the food is amazing. The quality and care of sushi is top notch. The sushi crew crushed it today as usual. I will be back again for more sushi feasts.

This was her first occasion here. We tried their lunch special combination for just over 10 bucks. I would consider it fairly good value... Nice size portion of teriyaki chicken with nice charbroiled flavoring. The sushi tasted better than it looked. The salmon was actually pretty nice. So I just three stars? All in all it's a very basic experience at the restaurant. Kind of a dumpy bathroom. The dining area was closed but you could see it was very basic in quality. It hits pretty low. The stars are just errand for cuisine and value. I'd say we would definitely return because we like getting good value and can ignore marginal dining environment elements.

Holy crap-fluff!! The food here is GREAT! The building is kind of funky--it looks like a donut shop. But the interior has a very appealing ambiance and wonderful decor. The food presentation is superb, service is fairly attentive, and prices are quite acceptable. Choices of sushi rolls, appetizers, specials, and beverages is substantial, and again, everything tasted great. I was so focused on inhaling my dinner that I forgot to take a customary foodporn photo. The picture below shows my leftover bits the next morning! I had tuna poke and calamari tempura for appetizers, and the "Sarah roll" for my main course. It was a wonderful meal. HIGHLY recommended. JC (a legend in my own mind;-$)

The crawfish tasted fresh, and the melted mozzarella added a creamy texture on top which was great. We also ordered the Chirashi, an assortment of sashimi served over a bed of rice. The salmon, tuna, and yellowtail were all fresh, and the food presentation was beautiful, with the sashimi arranged in a ring shape over the rice. At first impression I should have known- it was lunch time and empty- you have to self order and navigate their kiosk- no help with two kids and still ask for a tip. There was one younger girl with dark hair in the cluttered kitchen/drink area who didn't even acknowledge us- just went to the back and started rummaging. A second lady showed up and started preparing our sushi order. At that point I noticed the dirty tables and lack of service so decided to change my order "to go." I stood there trying to get their attention and was finally acknowledged. The lady who seemed to be in charge was handing out cash to another younger lady who came in (weird asf too). I finally get my order and bring it home. The nigiri was poorly cut- but edible. My poke bowl had a small amount of tuna that tasted sour and has signs of cooking through citrus, imitation crab, and seaweed salad (extra cost), then I see a whole romaine end, browning and cut up under that making the bulk of the bowl, followed by rice. Nothing like the picture at the kiosk. Then as I try to mix things up for a bite (I am starving at this point) I see a dark black hair. Needless to say I was extremely disappointed and unable to eat my food. I called to let them know and the younger lady who was there said she would let the owner know after sitting down and looking at all the food that was wasted. I decided to call back and ask for a refund. At that point, the younger lady kept repeating what I was saying, as she was relaying the information to what sounded like to be the owner. She told her to tell me that I needed to go back with the food. I let her know that I was unable to do that right now as I had two little kids who needed to nap- that's why I came home. She said she couldn't do a refund- until I went there with the food and my card. I was also told to refrigerate this food- are they going to use it?!? Smh. Ultimately I am out $40, and no lunch. I will never return or recommend to anyone. I'm thinking the reviews are for the teas- which I didn't try.

(805 Sake Sushi) My husband went with the all-you-can-eat menu and loved it. I chose to order individually because I'm on a high-protein diet and wanted more sashimi and rolls without as much rice. I ordered the 15-piece sashimi, and it was outstanding. The fish tasted fresh, the portion was surprisingly filling, and it was absolutely worth it. If you're looking for lower-carb or higher-protein options, ordering à la carte may actually make more sense since a lot of the all-you-can-eat sushi selections are naturally more rice-heavy. One tip if you're bringing kids with smaller appetites: consider ordering them a single roll instead of paying for the kids' all-you-can-eat option. My daughter ordered just one roll and couldn't even quite finish it, so the all-you-can-eat price wouldn't have made sense for her. Overall, everyone left happy and full. My husband loved the all-you-can-eat experience, I loved being able to get exactly what I wanted with the sashimi, and the kids enjoyed their food too. The biggest issue was the sushi rice. The rice in the nigiri was overly mushy, while the rice in several rolls contained hard, crunchy pieces that seemed undercooked. The seasoning was also off, with so much vinegar that the rice tasted noticeably sour. I've eaten sushi in many different places and have a wide range of experiences to compare it to, and this was among the poorest quality sushi I've had. I rarely leave negative reviews, but this experience fell well below expectations. While the staff was kind and welcoming, I would not return or recommend this restaurant based on the quality of the food.
