NOT a doughnut, girl, or really that much into sweets overall, but I had been wanting to try this place up for a while because of the fun flavors that are offered. The other reason I wanted to try it out was because this is a small business owned by a black female, and I always try to support our local business owners, but especially those who are women &/or minorities, as I am one myself! First off, the place is very clean, bright and inviting. I like yeast donuts over cake donuts, but I have to say that these were quite tasty and not heavy at all. I only got to try the one with the red drizzle and it was delicious, but my friends that I shared with all said their flavor was good too. She even has a food truck for events as well. Glad I stopped by, and I suggest you give her a try as well!
I love these donuts they are one of my favorite places to visit. The donuts are always made fresh and warm. They have lots of different varieties which makes me keep coming back. The customer service is always friendly and very welcoming. If you like the cake type of donuts with different flavors this is the place for you.
10/10 First-time customer here, and I'm thoroughly impressed! The only minor issue I noticed is that the donuts are quite smaller compared to regular donuts. However, I don't mind this at all and think it's a great aspect of the donuts. They were fresh, warm, and delicious. I've had the pleasure of eating countless donuts throughout my life, but these are undoubtedly the best I've ever had. The staff is friendly and helpful, and the atmosphere is welcoming and inviting. My family raved about the cake donuts, declaring them the best they've ever tasted.
Great little place It was my first time and I was welcomed by Matthew he took the time to explain the menu and all the different options. The place smelled so great. They make your donuts fresh right when you order them beautiful. It took about 10 minutes for my order, but I did order six different flavored donuts. and a frozen mocha, which was fantastic. Matthew also went above and beyond by taking my order out to my car for me as I have difficulty walking and use a walker(he offered).
I discovered Donna and her donuts via the food truck. Donna was working the truck with her friend. Amazing donuts and delicious topping combinations! I was impressed how the donuts were fresh made to order and had an incredible consistency being soft and airy on the inside with a firm exterior to hold the toppings. We ordered strawberry cheesecake, cinnamon swirl, and pralines. All were absolutely fantastic. Warm and so satisfying.
Wow. Talk about a donut being worth every single calorie, carb, sugar, etc etc. Donna's Delicious Dozen is like a yeast donut and a cake donut had a baby and it is PERFECT! This is a must have and get them when they're warm! The donuts literally melt in your mouth and before you know it, you'll be in a sugar coma because you'll have eaten the entire dozen in one sitting. I made a lemon glaze + raspberry drizzle and it was gone in 3 bites haha. It was so good and not overly sweet. The Honey Blue is a blueberry glaze sprinkled with struesel and topped with a honey drizzle. The blueberry was not strong enough so it wasn't my favorite. The original glaze is delicious and a must, as well as the vanilla glaze. My sister had a GF honey drizzle with pecans and said it was good. The rest of the GF were for a friend who loves the cinnamon sugar option! The employees were very kind and patient as we chose our donuts and the service was quick. I had ordered the GF ones and they were ready about 30min before scheduled pickup. They send you a text when they're ready so that's awesome! The cafe area had the cutest little booths that were comfortable and clean. Forks and little trays are provided when you pickup your donuts. I cannot wait to go back!
This place is a DEF a fan fav amongst my coworkers! I'm not super close to the location but I wanted to pick up some donuts for my establishment for Black History Month since this is a black-owned business that I found on ExperienceColumbus.com. It was important to me to celebrate this in a way that acutally promoted a black-owned business. Ordering was easy, just a call! I drove quite a bit out of the way of work to pick these up and they were ready to go right when I was there! The person there when I picked up, seemed to be the owner.. not sure.. but just got that feel, was SO SWEET! She offered me some coffee on the house after she asked how I was and I answered with something along the lines of being tired but trying to wake up. The donuts were SUPER YUMMY! & staff remembered them and have asked about them since! The prices were VERY FAIR! So... I will def be back! Even though this business locations isn't super convenient, due to the quality and prices and service... I WILL be back! A+++!!!
Visited the Donna's Delicious Dozen food truck today and was blown away! They we're 2/$6 at the foodtruck, and were a little smaller than what I was expecting but my first bite erased any trepidations! I tried the Fruitylicious and Oreo flavors. (For other donut aficionados, I dare to say that Donna's cereal donut was better than the one I had at Voodoo Donuts!!) They came out piping hot, warm icing, perfect topping-to-icing-to-donut ratio, and were the perfect consistency. Despite a consistent line, the donuts came out quickly! The staff running the food truck had amazing customer service. I am excited to see that there is a storefront I can visit to get more!!
Best GF donuts in town. I ordered a half dozen of Donna's favorites and picked them up at Bottoms Up coffee shop in Franklinton. They were waiting for me right on time and boy they were good! The maple bacon was my favorite but they all delivered with a thin, crunchy outer layer and a moist but pillowy interior with a subtle vanilla-ey flavor. Just the right size and toppings so they weren't cloyingly sweet. They weren't cheap but when you are GF, a good donut is worth the money.
Starting work late today because I have a training refresher going back to my old department. Yes, I stopped in after my dental appointment. I blame the coupon given to me after the first appointment. Who would have thought... a dentist giving me a voucher for a free donut after a round of nitrous and polish with fluoride...? Yes, sir, please! It's not just because they have bacon donuts, ...but they have -warm- bacon donuts. I personally like this raspberry beret. It's fresh, it's endearing and yes... a tad bit comforting on these salty, wintry, dreary days when I'm in my solitude mode. Think of it this way: take fresh fried, drained, drizzled, sprinkled... first bite is crisp but also soaked in that multi-drizzle... fruity tang of raspberry with crunchy chocolate graham. Creamy sweet end of white chocolate chip so melted... it barely holds its form (you know exactly what I mean). I pulled a good hefty 115lbs on three solid sets among other things. This was my reward for pushing some heavy iron this morning. And while I would only do a seasonal single donut now and again...I certainly will come back here. Bacon is next...

I mean, gluten free donuts that are moist and delicious... what's not to love? Plus they now have crimson cup coffee. Was greeted by two very friendly workers when we entered. They informed us how we get to select two toppings for free or we can add more at additional cost. We chose different ones and also purchased a coffee which was fresh and very hot and a cold coffee drink which was very good also. We got our donuts to go but decided to eat a maple bacon one in the car. Can you say delicious......still very warm donut that melted in my mouth. Before you knew it we had two gone. I would definitely recommend going here if you like a cake donut!!!! read more

Holy bananas, batman... these are some yummy donuts! I was SO happy to see this place was opening a) right down the road from me and b) on the east side of columbus. For so long all of the "craft donuts" have only been available on the west side. This is AMAZING and DANGEROUS for our household but I am here for it. Don't be fooled, while the store is named Donna's Delicious Dozen, the store is run by Donna's granddaughter, Traci. The name is just a beautiful homage to her grandma. Speaking of Traci, what a lovely woman. Literally so sweet and so helpful. She took our order this morning and made our experience that much better. The whole process is done right in front of you. These are fresh donuts, people. Cannot stress how fresh -- like fried, dressed, and packaged all in front your eyes. We tried a couple of Donna's favorites this time around, but you are able to make your own creation for the same price. They also have "special flavors" listed out on the menu for more inspiration. Personal favorite was 8 mile (featuring m&ms). All four that we tried were delicious, and honestly a plain donut there would be just as wonderful. We tried banana splitz, feelin fruitylicious, cinnamon roll crunch, and raspberry beret. Two other fun things -- you can order online (Traci said it takes about 30 minutes for your order to be fulfilled), and as I recently discovered on facebook they have a HAPPY HOUR -- be still my heart. Monday and Tuesdays from 3-6pm all of Donna's favorites are $1! We cannot wait to return! read more

We tried maple bacon, sticky bun, and Buckeye crazy. All three were fresh and flavorful. These donuts are small but packed with flavor and toppings. I couldn't really decide on a favorite among these three donuts. They each had unique flavors that didn't lend to comparison. If you haven't tried Donna's, you should! read more

What a treat!! Two free delicious donuts?? Yes please!! But are two donuts really enough to start a long holiday weekend?? Never... so of course I had to order a small sampling... yes a variety of 6 is considered small to some... don't judge!! Anyway, I digress.... The donuts were like Mary Poppins.... practically perfect in every way!! LOL! I mean they really are. The cake donut is perfect. The icing is perfect... even with a nice shine! And the flavor is each and every one is perfect. It's pretty rare to find an establishment with a 5-star overall average on Yelp, but let me tell you, Donna's deserves it. These are quite possibly the best donuts I have ever had. I originally tried these during a Yelp event and in a matter of one month have already been back three additional times. Everything about this place is great. From the ordering process, to picking up, to the donuts themselves. Ordering online is an absolute breeze and is especially appreciated during Covid times. You can easily go online and browse pictures of all the donuts to choose your selection, and customizing and making changes is very straight-forward as well. You then pay online through Square, and you get text messages that update you on exactly when your order is ready for pick up. In all of my experiences so far, the texts have been spot on with preparation times and my donuts have been piping hot and fresh when I pick them up. These donuts are just so freaking good. I don't even like donuts normally because I feel like they're sugary and boring and blah, but Donna's donuts are like heavenly clouds of deliciousness. The donuts themselves are the perfect fluffy consistency and they're not overly sweet, which I love. The range of toppings is fantastic and I'm extremely impressed with how good the icing tastes. The Oreo donut with vanilla icing is my favorite so far, but I also recently tried a blueberry streusel donut that was out of this world. I really don't know what to say other than the fact that these are absolutely top quality and if you haven't been here, you're missing out. Seriously, the best Saturday morning treat EVER. We had a wonderful experience here at Donna's. I loved seeing the youngsters working on the donuts in the background and I was super impressed to see how clean everything was. I came originally for the Yelp donuts but added a half dozen that I wanted to try out. I am not ashamed to say that only 4 donuts made it home and that each donut had a super unique flavor and were super delicious! The bacon crumbled were cooked perfectly, the icing was super smooth, and the lemon curd was on point. The price point of $1.50 per donut really was outstanding and the quality of ingredients were perfect. We will definitely be ordering from here again in the future! read more

After being introduced to Donna's earlier this year by a Yelp event, we knew we definitely needed to stop by again. The delicious fall specials seemed like a great time, and we picked up an apple butter crumb cake donut and one of the adorable Halloween monster donuts, with chocolate icing (you get a choice of chocolate or vanilla) and orange sprinkles. The donuts were just as delicious as they were on our first visit. Ordering ahead online was easy and the order was ready a few minutes ahead of schedule. We received a text notifying us of that as we were on the way over. There is good parking available in the shopping center lot, and the staff was friendly. Happy early Valentine's Day! We went over to Donna's for a Yelpentine event. The donuts are some of the best I've ever had! I liked how moist and buttery they were. The glaze on top just brought it all together in a glorious burst of flavors! It reminded me of those old school bakeries. Their strawberry and chocolate glazes are the best hands down! read more
I loooooove donuts! But being gluten intolerant means I don't get to enjoy them much. So I was so excited when I heard about Donna's Delicious Dozen. I stopped by today with two of my girlfriends who are not gf. I wasn't even sure if I would be able to get any by just showing up and not preordering, but I was! For gf, you have to order at least a half dozen, but that was okay by me. I still got to choose how I wanted them topped, and there were so many delicious options I had a hard time deciding. And man, these donuts did not disappoint. Cake style, but so light and fluffy, they didn't even look very different from the regular donuts. And my friends loved theirs also. You have to wait outside while they make your order, but they do have a few chairs out there, and I ordered a coffee to keep me warm while I waited. I will definitely be back! read more

Even though this is out of my way, it is totally worth the trip to visit Donna's Delicious Dozen. They have a very detail and organize website on all of the donut selection. If you want to be creative, you can also build your own donut. You can also order ahead on their website and pick up accordingly. For me, I am pretty picky about donut and prefer donut that are not too sweet. So I usually get either plain and/or just simple glaze donut. Donna's donut will be my new favorite spot for donut. Their icing is at the right proportion and it is not overly sweet. My favorite will be the simple strawberry icing topped with fresh strawberry. The fresh strawberry really help balance out the sweetness of the strawberry icing. Moreover, it add a different texture and additional moisture to the donut. If you order online, the pick up station will be just by the door. If you order in the store, you will also have a chance to see your donut go through the décor process as per your order. read more

Thoroughly happy it was worth the drive. I ordered eight different type of donuts from buckeye to bacon to strawberry cheesecake PB&j every last one of them were delicious. The only reason I stumbled upon this place was because Nothing Bundt Cakes was closed, and I regret my decision of deciding to try something new as opposed to waiting until Nothing Bundt Cakes was open the next day. It was just extremely overpriced and didn't live up to the hype online at all! Plus, in my opinion, they do absolutely nothing to separate themselves from their competition such as Duck Donuts and Peace, Love, And Little Donuts. They tasted it good, though not great or unique, and we're aesthetically pleasing but that's about it. When I can buy donuts at another shop that are twice the size for half the price then something is wrong. read more

Donna's delicious dozen has been on our radar for a bit but the Yelp event got us to zip over. We also bought two fun donuts. The peanut butter was a delight. The cinnamon cereal was crispy and had a unique crunch. Loved our experience and will keep an eye out if cocoa bombs are ever not sold out, would love to try them as well. read more

I was impressed with how busy they were and the innovation of ordering the donuts on line before. The donuts were fresh and really good. Website ordering was extremely easy to use. I was able to pick my donuts, toppings, and pickup time very easy. I loved the text confirmation when placing my order and when my order was ready. I ordered two vanilla cake donuts, one with vanilla frosting and one with fresh strawberries. I had a hard time deciding which one I liked more. Next time I definitely order more than two, because I was left wanting more. read more
Donuts were delicious! The donut itself was the best part. It was crispy on the outside and moist on the inside. The frosting was not over whelming and a nice flavor. So I finally made it to Donna's Delicious Dozen... Whew!!!! I had my reservations because normally I like either plain or regular glazed donuts only but after hearing about this place, I had to go. Listen my ONLY gripe is that their donuts are small. That's it... That's all... These things are AMAZING!!!! Like oh my GAWD!!! Look go there and eat them all! Don't sleep on the Honey Blue... I was so excited to hear that Donna's Delicious Dozen was now offering gluten-free donuts! Gf donuts are practically impossible to find in Columbus, aside from driving up to Delaware to The Dipped Donut. Traci, the owner of Donna's, posted online how to place an order, and she said to call them to place the order with 24 hours notice. So I called, and my interaction wasn't great. I asked the woman if I could order gluten-free donuts, and she said "sure." She took my order, and then she said they'd be ready in about 15 minutes. I was so confused and asked her several times to confirm since the online post had said 24 hours. Finally, after my repeated prompting, she asked, "Wait, did you want gluten-free donuts?" I was so concerned at this point. What if I hadn't asked so many times? This was definitely an opportunity to make lots of people sick. But I tried to continue with my order. The woman said, "I was helping another customer and not really paying attention to you." Wow. Then she began asking if I wanted gluten-free or gluten-friendly toppings, and I asked her to explain the difference. She could not. So I asked if gluten-friendly meant they contained trace amounts of gluten or if this was a cross-contamination concern. She stammered and finally told me that the only truly safe topping was powdered sugar in the back area because of "cross contamination or whatever." (For the record, I now know that this is incorrect information about the toppings.) I explained to the woman that I didn't feel safe ordering these donuts and was going to take a pass. Here's where things went even worse. I found a Facebook post on the DDD page announcing their gf donuts. I made an incredibly kind comment explaining my interaction. I was also sure to point out that I was thankful to them for being open during the pandemic and incredibly grateful to anyone who tries to offer something to the gluten-free community. The comment was deleted! No follow-up DM. Nothing. Fast forward to today when my friend Robin C (@CbusLocalLove) tagged me on Insta about the gf donuts. I replied that I had been disappointed in Donna's, and guess what -- this comment was deleted too! The owner, Traci, replied letting me know that she had deleted my Fb comment and that I should have emailed her instead. Here's the exact comment: https://imgur.com/0iVN4u6 First of all, Traci, you don't get to dictate where or how customers give you feedback. This was an amazing opportunity for you to publicly tackle some tough feedback head-on and control the narrative. You should have addressed me where I gave the feedback, and then talked about how you had learned and were going to be better. I gave you the gift of kind and honest feedback so that you wouldn't make people sick. But you couldn't handle having something even slightly negative publicly said about your business. You weren't being honest and transparent, and especially as an allergy customer, I can't tolerate that. As the former Yelp CM, I have heard hundreds of small business owners ask, "I just don't understand why people don't come directly to me before posting a bad review on Yelp!" Well, I tried. So why the five stars? Because nobody deserves a one-star review in a global pandemic. But people deserve to hear the truth. And hopefully the positive rating shows that I had good intentions all along. Donna's Delicious Dozen hosted a Yelp Event I was fortunate to be a part of. Upon entering the shop, we were greeted by two friendly workers. Ordering ahead, online, made the process quite seamless. The donuts are a tasty, cakey donut. They are not overly large in size yet have delicious flavor. The frosting was not overly sweet and was evenly spread on the donut. So excited to see Donna's offers gluten-free donuts! They're excellent and reasonably priced. I've ordered them two weekends in a row. They've been delicious each time! I love how you can customize icings and toppings. I've also ordered regular donuts for friends and neighbors. They've really enjoyed them, too! I'm a big fan of Bake Me Happy but I can't always make it to Merion Village or Dublin. I'm so thrilled to have found Donna's. Ordering online and picking them up has been very convenient both times. Because all of my friends -- plus many others -- have been raving about this place, I went in with high hopes (along with being slightly nervous I would be disappointed because my expectations were set so high). I am happy to report that this place is as good as they say! Along with two promotional donuts I received for being an elite Yelper, I ordered an assortment from the Donna's Favorites part of the menu -- see my photo for the full list. You guys, they were all so good! My family of four split each of them and we struggled to pick a favorite (but if you forced me, I'd say Feelin' Fruitylicious and Cinnamon Roll Crunch, but only narrowly over the others). I ordered online so pickup was a breeze. Parked right out front and was greeted immediately when I walked in. Quick and painless is important when you have a toddler in tow who only likes to keep her mask on for a couple minutes at a time! I highly recommend trying out Donna's Dozens if you haven't already. We can't wait to go back! read more
We went today to Donna's as part of a Yelp Elite Squad promotion. We received two donuts and were able to conveniently place our order online. The location was a bit of a hike for us, but we were excited to try a local place (and for donuts of course!). We ordered the two Yelp donuts (chocolate frosting and strawberry cream with strawberries) and also an 8 Mile (M&Ms and peanut butter) and a Boston cream. All donuts were in between full sized and mini and are about $1.50 each. The place itself is bright and spacious. Upon entering, the staff was welcoming and lively and it was clear that they take pride in the business. The menu is massive and one has the ability to customize their donuts. It seems like the possibilities are infinite! Right now, as far as I am aware, all orders must be done ahead of time. We immediately tried our donuts; they were fresh, sweet, and had an excellent texture. They were also a good size for a tiny indulgence. My only "complaint" of sorts, is that each donut is essentially the same, but evolve because of the topics. If you are expecting variety that you would find from a donut shop, like different textures and cakes types, you won't find it here. Regardless, I enjoyed our experience and look forward to trying them again soon read more
