Ate at Don's Prime with my girlfriend who is a professional athlete. I'm 53 she is 35 years old doesn't drink. She didn't order alcohol. She 5 ft tall. Very lean. Does look younger but definitely not under age. The restaurant called security to report I was with someone under age. As we exit the restaurant the head of security aggressively stopped us and ID'd us. After IDing us and realizing we're 53 and 35 years old they walked into the restaurant to report our ages to the manager. It was the most awkward thing I think I've had happen at a restaurant. Dons Prime next time ask for a ID versus have your guest accosted by security. Most underage women don't carry a $11,000 Chanel purse. Have a six pack and speak multiple languages. Absolutely incredible experience at Don's tonight! I had the privilege of being part of the Las Vegas Leadership group, and we could not have been more taken care of! The service was quick and wonderful and everyone was friendly and amazing. Our servers Kaitlin and Jennifer and David were unbelievable and kept everything moving through our prix fix meal. We started with asparagus risotto, Caesar salad, and the house salad for the table and all 3 were unbelievable. Caesar was the winner for me but again everything was 10 out of 10. For my meal I had the filet mignon with buttery mashed potatoes and a red wine au jus, and again, 10 out of 10. Literally the potatoes melted in my mouth and the steak was cooked to absolute perfection. We ended the night with the s'mores, carrot cake, and creme brulee, and all 3 were incredible, but the creme brulee was maybe the best I've ever had. Couple all this with the amazing service and the delicious craft cocktails, and I was absolutely blown away. If you're in town, Don's is the way to go. if you want to share a bathroom with men, then I say go for it went into this restroom after spending $800 and to find the restroom with pee all over the floor toilet seat up, and you don't get to choose between men and women's bathroom. We like good food, but we have palettes that are attuned to comfort -- not fancy Michelin 3 star (I prefer 1 star flavor tbh). Rocky was great, and accommodated speedy service when we both noticed my wife was hangry and getting frustrated while I spent 10 min asking about various wagyu types and cows... Had the Snake River Wagyu NY Strip (10/10) and the Filet (10/10). The corn soup was out of this world, the pretzel sticks loved by my son. Of the 4 legs that came out, I had 1.5 legs left along with 2 end pieces of other legs. Courtney asked to bag them for me - I accepted. She came back with only 1 leg. She completely tossed the other half along with the 2 end pieces I had left of the other legs. I asked her what happened to the other pieces, she said that was all that was left. I guess what's left of someone's food is subjective. I didn't bother to argue because I had no visual proof to provide her what I actually had left on my plate to bag. For $110 I was shocked at how dry and salty it was. I ordered it medium rare but it was more in the medium well side. We also ordered the creamed spinach, whipped potatoes, Mac and cheese and potatoes au gratin. All of the sides were also full of salt. It was very disappointing. For the price of the food, you'd expect top quality but it seems like someone is in the kitchen just dumping salt over everything. Been stewing on this for a week now. I had family in town for NAB so we met up for dinner. I had never been to the Fontainebleu so it seemed like a good idea. We chose Don's Prime and made a reservation for 7:15 (earliest available since they open at 5). We arrived at 7 and weren't seated until almost 7:45. They had plenty of staff and didn't appear to be overly busy. We endured the hard sell on the 32oz waygu ribeye and opted for the filets. The service was slow and a bit sophmoric. The food was marginal. They managed medium rare okay, but I ordered mine Pittsburgh. With that said, my Pittsburgh was medium rare... and not a server in sight. Staff did stop by to check on us 3/4 of the way through the meal, around 8:45. I've eaten at many steak places in this town and across the country; I won't be returning to Don's Prime. read more

I am giving three stars because the hostess was not friendly (first impression) and the food was just okay for us. We are huge steak eaters and have eaten some amazing steaks before and the filet here was just okay, not seasoned and dry. The server we had was amazing she was on top of everything and she deserves five stars. Cocktails start at $23 each and none of them seemed appealing so I opted for a margarita which looked pretty, but was very watered down. The interior is beautiful inside and decorated very nicely. Dons Prime steak is hard to rate. I believed the resort rule of using the $150 at one place and all at once had me overindulge and once you get blotted you enjoy the food less. Started off with unusual breads. One was a pretzel stick bread the other was a combo monkey bread/.croissant. I had the strip steak. It was ok but I have had better a different steak houses. Sides were asparagus and potatoes au gratin. I am used to thin asparagus but these were large and fat. I believe the thin asparagus is more tender. The potato au gratin was full of cheese and heavy cream like sauce. It could if used potatoes and less of the other ingredients. So I was a bit disappointed but it was ok. The steak differently was not one that melts in my our mouth. Once again I say this restaurant is ok and is an attractive place but I will pass on it next trip. read more

We already ate 3 hours before, we didn't need more food. Her service was subpar and she gave us barely any attention and had someone else serve us our food. This place is all hype, the same chewy beef came with the surf and turf at the table next to us. I spoke with them about it and we were both shocked that a place with awards for their steaks would bring us meat like this. At $15/oz the meat should melt in your mouth, but instead we got chewing gum. The Mac and cheese was great! The fries were mediocre at best (no seasoning) tasted like frozen fries do. read more

we're not too sure why the restaurant is so drastically different between the bar area, main dining, and back dining room. bar area is the first area as soon as you enter the restaurant, a little stuffy and crowded. main dining room felt more casual and well-lit. the back dining room is velvety maroon and dimly lit, much more formal. the serving team could be more finetuned as we we had a team of 3 but none of them talked to each other so we were asked if we wanted drinks from 2 different people. when the bread came we were offered only pretzel when other tables were offered the brioche and pretzel at the same time. our brioche finally came during our main course- with no explanation. our final straw was our scoop of ice cream for dessert took about 30 minutes to come out while we were twiddling our thumbs. steak was great, don't get me wrong, but there wasn't anything to go with it nor swimming in sauce / butter. i get that it's no frills, our filet was good. i was starting to tell my husband i like don's prime over ocean prime, but i took that back midway through the meal. read more

We came in here with no reservations right after the ACT Expo closed, and though there weren't any tables immediately available they let us sit in the bar where we found a nice corner booth! Even though the bar area suddenly became packed with convention goers, service was still good. We didn't find a Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc on the wine list which surprised us but the sommelier Robert, came out to explain to us an alternative which was very good.
