Came here for lunch with my co worker and It did not disappoint! Portions were huge and the food was delicious! My co worker's salad was huge!! Pretty much reminded me of the good old Davis days! ;) I had the shrimp burrito which was delicious! So delicious that I came back for dinner the same day! Had the crunchy tacos and nachos for dinner and that yummy as well. They have an awesome drink machine and a fully stocked salsa bar. I was disappointed in a recent visit where we ate out on the patio and I asked the server for silverware. He seemed a bit put out by my request. I feel as if I'm a veteran of Dos Coyotes because I've had quite a few items on their menu. Overall, the food has been solid and I've looked into having them cater a few events. I view Dos Coyotes as a place that 'gets the job done' but nothing really ever stands out. I feel like everything on the menu is good and it really just depends on what you're feeling like having at the moment. The service has always been hit or miss in my experiences (items missing or wrong in order) but nothing that would ever keep me from going again. Gave us extra attention (party of 5 on the patio). Teens in our party loved the food, too. Guac + chips were yummy, Drink service in Real Glassware; Real Cutlery, no plastic. We come here often and always enjoy the food. Today was different, we were celebrating my Husband's Birthday and came in during a "off" hour so there would not be a crowd. There were only a few people eating but there were NO clean tables. Plenty of staff up front but honestly the place was a mess. We proceeded to clean the table ourselves and move over dirty napkins on the seat. It was really disappointing. When we were done cleaning, someone came over with a rag....a bit late. Our food took awhile....it was OK....not the typical meal we are used to. There seem to be a great deal of staff just not doing much. However, upon returning home, we noticed one of the burritos was wrong and we were given a burrito with meat and rice only... we didn't think the food was bad but received the wrong order. Really impressed with the service and food. Multiple employees came by checking on people. I know they are just opening but it's evident they care. The chicken was perfect and flavorful. The corn tortillas were soft, steak well seasoned and not chewy, and the chips crisp and delicious. I loved the salsa bar. About six options including two Pico's, diced peppers, and pickled peppers as well. The motif is fun. It's great to order then sit. Made for fast service. One review complained about clean tables and a burrito bowl not full. Did not see that as a problem today. My bowl was amazing. Also they were cleaning tables often as it was lunch rush. Our preschool just had Dos Coyotes cater a large parent event and they did a fantastic job! The food was delicious, the price was extremely fair, and our event leads said the restaurant was really great to work with. My own family has enjoyed eating here often since they opened, and we will continue to support such a wonderful business. Have been to the San Ramon site several time and it was ok. But, this time will end my ordering for sure. While waiting to pick my order a staff member was eating off an order to be taken to a table. When he saw me looking he used the hand sanitizer to clean his hands...why??? My food was just warm, I had to wait for it so it was not sitting around for awhile. My tacos were a little soggy as expected but....the shells were either cracked or broken.....not happy!!!!! The food is sooo good! The servers are always friendly and helpful. I love that they don't expect you to clean your dishes, they don't even have garbage cans for you to do so. In line for close to 40 minutes to order (only ONE cash register at peak dinner hour) and it took an hour and fifteen minutes for my family's dinner to arrive and another 10 for my salad to arrive. All the while, families around us are experiencing the same lack of service, multiple people are waiting for take out for equally the same time and the manager is sitting at a table with a friend taking her break?? I really like Dos Coyotes so far, recently I've had a love hate relationship with Mexican food and well all types of food since my diet has changed so much, but when I tried their food my stomach was very acceptable of their food. It was healthy and flavorful and delicious. The first time I got a coyote burrito and it was so big it fell apart on me but that didn't stop me from enjoying it, and the second time I got an enchilada with a crispy chicken taco. The taco was nice and crispy and I was surprised to find that there were onions in the chicken but to my surprise it tasted delicious. I will definitely look forward to going back again. read more

Made our inaugural visit to this place for lunch and it was fabulous. Creative menu but not skipping the Mexican basics, fresh, good portion, and the staff was so friendly and efficient. I lived in Japan for 21 years and this is the closest I've come to Japan-level quality service. I ordered Bobby's Tacos not knowing that chips were included. When I went to the salsa bar - another five stars there, BTW - I didn't see any chips. I asked one of the staff who was busing a table if I had to order chips separately. My wife tried the Tres Taco Basket and liked all 3 varieties of the tacos, especially the Mahi Mahi taco. Our kids thought their been and cheese burrito was really good too!
