I'm giving 3 stars because our waitresses were so nice and so helpful (one was titi I wish I knew the others name). As for the food, I got the barbacoa burrito and it was literally just a burrito filled with meat. The rice was really bad honestly which feels hard to mess up. Came to Dos Locos on Saturday for a late lunch. It's early in the season so I feel like a lot of my experience is related to the inexperience of the server, who did not seem properly trained. Saturday special is a pitcher of sangria for $20, which my server was unaware of. Sangria was nothing special, but not terrible (tasted like Lambrusco?). Put in orders and the server had to look at each item multiple times in the menu and then later came back to double check items. Overall, the food was tasty but again wasn't anything unique. Rice despite seasoning tasted like it had been sitting out for awhile. Portion sizes were good for the price and I really liked that the veggie fajitas had Jicama in them! Do not order delivery from Dos Locos! They are simply incapable of putting together the enetire order. I've given them so many chances, but always something missing. Usually it's when I order chips and queso - I get either the chips or queso, but not both. Tonight I ordered chips and queso (and to my surprise I got both) and deconstructed tacos. They failed to deliver cheese, lettuce and tomato (and sour cream though they didn't promise that). And the tacos were so dry they broke apart before I could even roll them. Never again. We were a party of six and were all but ignored when we got there. We had been seated for more than 10 minutes when we asked if we had a waiter. Another waiter blatantly rolled his eyes and said our waiter was back there. We waited another 5 minutes, discussing if we should leave or not. I really wish we would have. Sadly, this was one of the worst Mexican restaurants I've ever been to. The only one that enjoyed their meal was my younger son and his standard hardshell, ground beef tacos with cheese and sour cream. Kind of hard to screw that up (except they charged us an extra $2.50 for the sour cream). So I would give them a star for those. But for the rest of us, it was pretty bad. The margaritas were watered down with no sign of any tequila in them. The steak fajitas were dry and over cooked, the rice was cold and hard, and the tortillas were normal grocery store tortillas and were steamed until they were rubber. The most unseasoned Mexican food I have every had. The shrimp were boiled and put into the enchilada without any seasoning and no flavor. The crabmeat was the same (no flavor) and was mushy. Absolutely awful! I'm a big fan of mexican food and this was far from it. We ordered chips, queso, and salsa to start our meal. All 3 of them were awful. The queso was sweet and no flavor, the chips were full of salt, and the salsa was literal soup. I ordered 2 beef tacos and they were just as bad, the beef tasted like literal ground up flavorless beef. I also got a pepsi to drink and that tasted flat as well. The service was mediocre, our waitress was running all the tables, and the bar. I never saw anyone else except for the manager playing on his phone in the back at a table. I did complain about our food and the manager came over and seemed clueless about the food his employees were sending out. He did not charge us for any of it which is considerate, but still very unimpressed. The ambiance was not what I expected. It looked like a hibachi/steakhouse with some mexican banners thrown on the ceilings. Definitely wouldn't recommend wasting your time. This restaurant is a joke. Everything is ludicrously overpriced for the quality you get. Although portions are large, my family is from New York and we absolutely know the difference between good, bad, and imitation Mexican food. This is of the latter. So imagine our disappointment when we had dinner one night at Dos Locos, whose staff isn't even competent enough to mix a good margarita. All the servers wear Mardi Gras beads, which makes no sense to me. The nachos were fine, because who can mess those up? But unfortunately, my Duck Carnitas Quesadilla was a complete waste of time and money. The meat was tough and the sweet jam sauce on top was confusing because it did not complement the dish at all. Today I tried something new at Dos Locos. See I have driven 3 hours one way to the beach in the dead of winter just to satisfy a craving for their well cooked delicately seasoned steak fajitas so it's really difficult for me to decide on something new but when I saw the new Blue Steak Quesadilla I just had to give it a try. Warning: If melting way too much blue and jack cheese together then combining it with steak in a flour tortilla and grilling it to crispy perfection sounds like a bad idea then, like my wife, you should probably browse the seafood on the menu. If, like me, just the idea makes you happy then by all means this is the meal for you. Don't worry, here quesadillas come with a wonderful green salad to make you look and feel like you're eating healthy even while you savor the sweet bourbon glaze drizzled across the top of your steak quesadilla. The frozen swirl sangrea margarita is my favorite. This is the only place I'll order a frozen drink because they're not made from ice crushed in a blender with a dash off booze and sweetener. These margaritas come from a machine that reminds me of the slushies I loved when I was a kid. They are smooth, fresh, strong and delicious from beginning to end. I should have known when walking down the strip that every restaurants have a menu with prices but this one did not list any price but I thought, it's Mexican food - how expensive could it be? Boy was I wrong. Entrees ranged from $25-50, I'm talking about things like tacos and quesadilla and the quesadilla is just a small salad in a tortilla with a few strips of chicken. On the plus side, drinks are around $5 and they are adequately strong. But why would you go to this place when Mariachi's food is so much better only one block away? AMAZING! Service from hostess, waiter, to the manager--- was perfect! Seated right away on Saturday for lunch. We were our waiter's first table ever so he didn't know much but had no problem finding out-- we were patient and okay with this. The manager had stopped by to make sure he answered all our questions-- then he offered to bring us the pork from the pork taco to try (because its labeled as 'spicy' and we wanted to know how spicy)... but holy crap that pork is GOOD. Highly recommend anything there with the pork. We got chicken and pork enchiladas. Very delicious... perfect. Salsa and chips very good too. We will go back next time we're in town... Stopped in over the weekend. Was headed to Agave in Lewes but it was closed and thanks to Yelp found this place. The service was excellent and the food great. Super crowded with a long wait on Saturday night. We finally got a seat in the bar area - It's a fun atmosphere. Their house margarita is really tasty. When I saw the gigantic menu, I got a little nervous - no way they can make that many entrees well. I was right. Enchiladas were decent but nothing to write home about. We ordered a "stone-grill" which is this searing hot slab of rock you cook your food on. They don't really give you instructions so I was a little worried about food safety issues. Also, I'm a klutz and half expected myself to lean on the 700 degree rock in front of me. Thank god I didn't while cooking my lobster. Do NOT come here expecting cheap Tex Mex because you will experience sticker shock. I decided to go with my heart and blow $30 on seafood nachos since the menu said they had half a pound of shrimp, crab, and lobster. Those nachos were delicious! The seafood was generous as advertised and while a couple of the shrimp were tough, the crab and lobster meat were sweet and cooked perfectly. I really liked that they use heftier chips so they weren't breaking apart as paper thin chips tend to do when used for nachos. The guac they used probably wasn't made in house but it was fresh and tasted good. And since they give you a huge serving, I had leftovers for breakfast! The atmosphere was festive since it was the Sea Witch Weekend and all of the servers were in full costumes. Our server was pleasant and didn't rush us while we took our time perusing the menu. Unfortunately, I am updating my review. My husband and my parents came here for dinner and it was such a letdown. Every year, we make this our last stop for restaurants on our trip. When we got here, they sat us at a dirty table. I slipped on water (which I later found out it was actually Mountain Dew from the previous customer). We then requested to sit at a different table. The floor was still sticky and dirty, but bearable. Before my husband joined us (he had to walk all the way from the Henlopen Hotel to the restaurant because parking was just horrific and ridiculous), we ordered chips and salsa. I remember at some point, they were complimentary. Well, the order (which was not worth the money) was just pitiful to say the least. They served us this tiny little amount of salsa, which was basically water and chopped tomatoes. The chips were alright, but not enough. My ginger ale tasted very weird. I sent it back for a Pepsi. We informed the waitress that my husband would be joining us later so take time with the food. They took that literally with his order. We thought that they would just hold off on making our food and serving it until he shows up. Nope, they made our food and my husband had to wait for his. I ordered the deconstructed tacos. The beef was so greasy, I got sick from the grease when we got back to the hotel (and I am still not feeling great. Thanks ). My mom got chicken fajitas and she said it wasn't good. My dad ordered 1 beef and 1 cheese enchilada, and they gave him all beef. His order of rice was so small and sad looking. There is no other way to describe it.. In the meantime, my husband ordered an Old Fashioned and chips and queso (which took forever). They served him this little cup of "queso", which looked like yellow water. And guess what? It was! The waitress said they ran out of queso. At that point, he said he didn't want the chimichanga because he asked for it smothered in queso. Our waitress then said she would see if they could do anything in the kitchen. After what seemed like an eternity, he received his order. What can I say but awful. Walked into Rehoboth today and thought we'd go here since we had good experience in the past. We ordered the happy hour special of pick 4 and selected the calamari and taco bites. The calamari had very little calamari mainly fried breading bits. The small bite tacos were incredibly spicy, which we were not warned of. That's all we could say. Hope it gets back to where it was, but we're not visiting again until we hear otherwise. read more

Our waitress was friendly and somewhat attentive but the food we got literally made us sick to our stomachs. He got some sort of crab enchilada and it was straight up crab meat wrapped in tortilla, absolutely dripping with cheese. Even thinking back to it makes me queasy.
