Stopped in for Happy Hour on a Tuesday around 4pm. I made a reservation through Open Table because they can get pretty busy during summer months on the waterfront. There is street parking available through Parking Kitty, and a parking garage as well. Parking is $3/hr. It's best to download the Parking Kitty app for street parking because 9/10 times the kiosks are out of order. Plus when you have the app you can add more time without having to go back out to the kiosk. We were greeted and seated as soon as we walked in. We were seated at a window booth as requested in the reservation. We both ended up ordering the chicken quesadilla off the Happy Hour menu. It was delicious! My friend ordered a lemon drop and enjoyed it. Overall a nice experience; however, I was a bit disappointed because I stated in my reservation we were celebrating a birthday, but there was absolutely no acknowledgement. I was going to go remind someone, but my friend hinted she wanted to go across the street to Salt and Straw for dessert, so I skipped it. I'd still recommend this restaurant, but hope they pay more attention to details when special occasion reservations are made.

Dosalas is our new favorite happy hour spot! Coming up the stairs (there is an elevator too) you are welcomed into a massive space with gorgeous views of the river. We got a table on the covered patio. Adrian our server did an amazing job taking care of us. I started with the classic margarita and it was delicious! Smooth and flavorful. Next we tried the chunky guac and the Mexican street corn. The guac was really good, the onions and tomatoes brought the flavor to a great spot. The street corn was exquisite! The cheese level was spot on! We tried both the happy hour tacos and you can't go wrong with either. The shrimp tacos had a tasty tempura batter and the carne asada tacos were full of perfectly cooked little medallions. All the toppings were fresh and crisp. Everything was amazing. We can't wait to get back! Great location, great service, great food! Definitely try this happy hour out too!!!

Dosalas is an upscale restaurant with a Latin-inspired menu. The space is designed with more flashy, luxurious decor and has a lively atmosphere. I would recommend getting a reservation for dinner, especially if you are wanting to sit on the covered and heated patio with a view of the waterfront. We were seated right at our reservation time and our server was very friendly. We came during happy hour and started with the classic margaritas. The margs were well-balanced and were a standard drink size, which is appreciated for a happy hour deal. The happy hour steak nachos are some of my favorite nachos I've ever had. The Serrano queso was life-changingly good with the heat from the Serrano chili. I also loved the Peruvian spiced chips, which had the perfect crisp and added a punch of tangy, spicy flavor. The shrimp tacos were great and I loved the fresh crema they came with. The short rip sopes were tender, juicy, and pilled high with meat and the same crema as the tacos.

So our monthly Foodie Folx group chose Dosalas for the month of May. We had high expectation but a disappointing experience. First of all if you have not visited the Vancouver Waterfront, put it on your list. It is an amazing area. Dosalas is one of the high end restaurants on the Waterfront. We sat up in the Patio Bar, overlooking the Columbia River. Fantastic view. I started off with the Dosalas Margarita, which was very good. First and foremost the food was excellent. I had the CHIMICHURRI PORK CHOP, which was excellent. There were six of this eventing and we all commented on how good the food was. The service did not match the food, or the price for that matter. Attention to detail and our experience was not a priority. We had mentioned that today was a Birthday for one us. That went unanswered, disappointing. A 20% gratuity was added to all of our tabs. This was not a 20% experience. I will also add the menus were old and probably needed to be replaced. We were glad we tried it. It might be awhile before we comeback.

We skipped full entrées and ordered small plates instead: empanadas, street corn, and cheese bread. The empanadas served with a cilantro crema came out first and they were incredible. Crispy, flavorful, and easily my favorite thing we ordered. Then the Mexican Street Corn arrived. My friend tried it first and was blown away. I was skeptical because it is just corn, but that corn was slamming. Perfectly grilled, buttery, with a hint of lime, fresh with a slight crunch, and served with tortilla chips for scooping. It absolutely hit. The drinks were a whole experience. I ordered Tiffany & Co which was a cocout rum, blue curacao, fresh lime, blanc de bleu cuvee mousseux with a pineapple foam and a pina cola shooter. It came out in a Tiffany-style box with beautiful presentation. It was blue, creamy, slightly sweet, almost piña colada vibes, and exactly what I wanted. My friend ordered the mimosa flight. Warning that these are not small pours. They are full glasses. Stunning presentation, but definitely share if you are not a really big drinker. They forgot the cheese bread at first, and when it finally came out, it just did not compare to the other dishes. We mentioned it, and they graciously let us return it. Instead, we ordered another round of empanadas, which was absolutely the right decision. We went around 11 and it was quiet, but by the time we left the place was packed. Great service, fun atmosphere, and memorable presentation. We will absolutely be back. I think we found a new favorite spot.

Upscale Latin without breaking the bank. I went during happy hour. The food was fresh and came out quickly. A necessary stop if you're looking for dining on the waterfront

We spent about $300 here wanting to try a bunch of small plates and it genuinely tasted worse than an Applebees. The ribeye was sooooo fatty there was barely any meat. The Brazilian cheese bread was not authentic Brazilian cheese bread. More like garlic bread balls. I ordered their top shelf Cabernet and it was very clearly watered down. We had a few shots that were also very clearly watered down and not full shots. The view was nice but I would never spend money here again. We left without finishing any of our food and went to another restaurant. Pretty scammy place.

Great food and service. Celebrating milestone birthday with friends on a perfect day. Food is tasty and drinks are cold.

I had really high hopes as they put so much into decorating. The fireplace, bar and outdoor patio are gorgeous! When you walk in at first downstairs it's confusing if we were supposed to wait for someone but another customer told us to just go upstairs because nobody was coming down to get people. But there are cute swings for your photo op. We decide to sit outside. By the "window" (there is no window it's open air) was really cold. We moved to the other side and it was really hot. I guess I felt like Goldilocks I think the long fire table may have been perfect but I didn't want to move again. The guacamole and roasted corn were huge portions. We also had the nachos. Everything was very good I'd get the guacamole probably every time. It was very good just the avocados were not ripe. My friend ordered a coffee she said it was great too. The bad... the service was HORRIBLE! And not because she was mean or rude, she was very sweet. She was just never there. As other people left we watched them frustrated as they never came to collect the bill or dirty plates. We had to waive through the glass to , get utensils & plates, refills, the bill and to pay the bill. At this point we were the last ones there so there was no excuse to be completely ignored. Saving grace that will make me try this place again, besides the guacamole was a bartender named Adrain. He had just come on shift. He sat some people near us, picked up dirty dishes that had been there about 2 hours. Stopped to check on us and we told him about our experience. He was so nice, he listened to us and warmly invited us back again. Thank you, Adrian! All of this was happening while the "manager" was sitting at a table on the other side of the glass eating and working. He was oblivious to the poor service and the dirty dishes left on several of the tables.

Loved the ambiance, decor, outside views from the patio. We walked-in, no reservations on a Sunday evening. Service was great and the staff was attentive. We sat in the patio looking at the amazing sunset. It was chilly by the windows; and decided to move closer to the gas fireplace ...that thing makes the place close by HOT! We ordered a Mango Rumba which was disappointing - felt watered down. Sabrina was gracious to make another one...but still there was something missing in the drink. I think for $19, we should have gotten a better drink. For food, we ordered the $30 Clams & Mussels which were seasoned well with a good potion. Overall, great place for a date, gathering, and for views.

I love this restaurant. It's probably the nicest, most aesthetic (while also being good) restaurant we have in the Oregon/ Vancouver area besides Departure. Good for celebrations. Stunning decor, very maximalist. Lots of good photos ops, but also good (and pretty) food and drink. Nice that it's on the waterfront if you want to sit on the patio for the water views.

Atmosphere- modern and creative decor that changes throughout the restaurant. A majority of the seating is indoors, but an outdoor patio is available with heaters during the colder temps. Food- Always flavorful, on point, and presented with flair and creativity. Drinks- oh my word! Tasty, and also presented in very creative ways. It's absolutely worth the wait to sit with a view of the water. The service is amazing. Everyone is friendly and helpful!

I also like good chips & coleslaw. I found all 3 here at the Waterfront Taphouse. Yay! (Don't worry they aren't too greasy!). We went here with another couple and enjoyed the beautiful view, even though our table wasn't right next to the window. That is probably due to all the big windows and it's on the 2nd floor of its building. Our server was friendly, and our food came out quickly. Loved the fish & chips, like I indicated above. Why the 4 stars then? My husband, the only one in our party that didn't order fish & chips, didn't love his mahi mahi fish tacos. They looked beautiful but fell short on flavor. He felt they needed more seasoning-they were a little tasteless. He dumped the tiny little cup of salsa on top and asked for more, but he was still disappointed. The fish wasn't salted properly. They also came with "house made" tortilla chips. These were hard and cardboard-like. That's too bad because it's not difficult to cut tortillas and fry them up. I do it at home sometimes. They turn out great. So maybe go to a good Mexican restaurant if you have your heart set on quality tortilla chips. If you want fish & chips though, come here instead of their neighbor to the east (not mentioning any names-you know what it's called). The portions were generous-as they should be for $30. That's the only downside. A little pricey. We shared 2 silk pie slices for dessert. Very dense and dark chocolatey. Good to share-a whole piece is too rich-and I like rich! If not for the fish tacos I would give Waterfront Taphouse 5 stars.
