I have been using Double Dog's services for the past year as my puppy grew to an adult. Each time we arrive he is pulling at the leash with excitement to get inside. The staff is extremely attentive and kind. Their grooming services are great, and the live cam will let you see just how much fun your pup is having. I have also used their board and train service with my dog, and couldn't recommend it more. Kevin is an exceptional trainer who uses positive reinforcement to work with dogs of all levels and experience. He sends updates on your dog's progress and is open to answering any and all questions. Plus, my dog loves seeing him, so he clearly enjoyed his training! In our case, Kevin worked with my dog to reduce his reactivity on walks- lunging at other dogs, jumping on people, etc. Now we are able to go on walks without crossing the street to avoid other dogs, and can walk by fence-fighting dogs without a struggle. I spent a lot of time researching the right doggie daycare for my German Shepherd Husky, Fiona. When we rescued her, she had severe separation anxiety, and while we were working through it with her trainer, there was a lot of concern about leaving her with strangers and other dogs knowing how timid she was. The staff have made me feel so comfortable with their attention to detail and efforts to bond with Fiona. A few months in, Fiona has gone from whining and panting every time I leave the room to excitedly running into daycare to find her friends for the whole day. To say I highly recommend Double Dog Dare Ya/Pet Rush Inn is an understatement! This place has been a godsend for me & my pup Bobby ever since we moved to the NoHo/Burbank area. I initially called to ask about the 2 week board-and-train program, and we met with Kevin for a consultation before discussing the program further. He recommended bringing Bobby (who was having a hard time adjusting after the move and didn't socialize with other dogs well) to day care a few times just so he could get familiar with the place and the people. Let me tell you - the day care here has been so amazing for us both. He gets to play with other dogs and burn off all his crazy amounts of energy, and he loves both facilities and all of the staff who take care of him. Even during the height of the COVID-19 restrictions on businesses in the area, the staff at Double Dog Dare Ya was able to stay open while adhering to social distance guidelines and it was such a relief to know that I could still take Bobby in. He's been going pretty much once a week since March! The facilities offer grooming and boarding services as well at great prices, so I have the peace of mind that whatever I may need for my pup I have a place that I can trust will take amazing care of him. Recently had my hyper English Bulldog Gunther boarded for the weekend. Gunther had such a fun time playing and running around with his new dog and human friends. My big guy is still recovering from such a wild fun weekend. The staff was always very assuring every time I talked to them. They sent report cards and a few pictures. The facility is kept clean, doesn't even smell like dog. Also, another assuring thing that all us helicopter parents will appreciate is that they have cameras!!! We recently boarded our dog here and had a great experience. He had never been boarded before, so we were a bit nervous. I loved being able to watch him on the live cameras during the day and feeling reassured that he was doing well. The actual space where the dogs get to hang out seems spacious and clean. I sent treats, toys, and my dog's bed with him, and everything came back to me in the condition I sent it in. This place is great. They completely saved us when our planned boarding scenario proved absolutely horrid and I refused to leave my dogs. I called Double Dog Dare Ya and they were courteous, helpful and willing to get our dogs In With literally less than two hours before our flight. They made sure our boys were next to each other and able to spend time together during the day even though they could share a kennel at night. This review is for daycare, have not done overnight boarding yet but definitely would if needed. I have never done daycare for my dog. especially because most places charge an overnight rate for anything past 5pm. I work usually until 7pm. This place is very close to my work so I can get there in time to get her. Now she's not at home bored she has other dogs to smell and play with. She is definitely worn out when she gets back. And there's a live camera to watch them, however sometimes the smaller dogs are in a non-camera room, which can be a bummer. Staff is friendly and fast. Facility is very zen and clean. Big dogs get to play in the pool . I do wish my cockapoo could join outdoors, but it's better than nothing. I would recommend them to anyone. read more

I have a giant shepherd/husky mix who is a homebody couch potato. He doesn't like walks and shivers with fear at dog parks. I was so worried about leaving him in a kennel. My 1 year old pup and my 1 1/2 year old cat have both stayed at Pet Rush Inn. The pup was at Double Dog Dare Ya at first until she came into heat. Now that she is spayed I can take her back there. I have also used the grooming services. I can't say enough about each place and each service; daycare, boarding, grooming...these folks are the best! Staff was super friendly and all had masks on. Their courtyard and day care areas are quickly cleaned up after the dogs do their business. Big dogs are kept separate from the little ones. DDDY is fabulous!!! They were recommended to me by our pet sitter because she was already booked for the time we were set to go out of town. I trust her recommendations and I was not disappointed by DDDY. I read all the information on their website regarding the way they care for dogs and their boarding requirements. I could see that they not only know dogs, but have taken the time to create a great environment for them. I called ahead regarding some additional questions (mostly about reserving a spot for our Westie) and was offered a tour prior to bringing her in. I came in about a week before to check it out and the staff was very welcoming, gave me a tour and answered all my questions. I felt completely comfortable bringing our Westie in the following week. The live doggy cameras in the big dog play yard and little dog/office area were terrific! I was able to check in on Lola and see how she was doing throughout the day. She's a little older, doesn't particularly car for other dogs and takes daily medication for a breathing issue. Thanks to the doggy cams, I could see that she did great the entire time! I could even see that she was feeling more at home on the final day of her stay because she apparently knocked over the office waste basket when the staff was away from the reception area for a couple of minutes. This is something she does pretty regularly at home when she is comfy and thinks she can get away with something, sorry about that! Their philosophy about dog care, experience and immaculate facility have made me feel very comfortable about bringing our girl back for our next vacation.
