Our waitress was attentive. She failed to mention that the beans and rice soup had sausage. My wife had ordered it and she doesn't eat sausage so there's that. Everything except the tuna and croissant was super salty. I mean SALTY. I had ordered chicken strips with fries and the pickle chips for an appetizer. They must use the same seasoning on everything because it all tasted the same and was super salty. FYI No estimates on the wait times. We went to this restaurant when it first opened and really enjoyed it. However, we had a poor experience this evening. We ran out of drinks twice. We had asked for no sauce on one of our dishes and a different sauce on the side. The dish came with the sauce we didn't want and in looking how it was rung up, it was a server error and we were charged for an additional sauce instead of a substitution. Their ranch also has a heavy onion flavor which was terrible. Finally, the floors were sticky and generally appeared unclean which was a turn off. We won't be back unfortunately. read more

Eric and Paul are amazing managers of Double Dogs in Greenville SC on Pelham Rd.. The whole staff continues to impress me time and time again. From the bartenders Kendall, Glenda, and Figgy that will make my drinks perfect to the waitstaff that dote on me, today it was Alexis. It's always a pleasure and you truly feel special when you are here. They went above and beyond to accommodate me. They could have just turned a blind eye to my needs. Instead they stood up and turned a problem on my part to an opportunity to shine brighter then most managers would. I am thankful and grateful for their dedication to their customers and foresight to see that they had the ability to make a difference in my day. This is a great sports bar/grill with lots of screens and pretty good food. My family and I went for Sunday lunch and the service was good and the food was too. I got the house salad, my kids got the BLT and chicken fingers and my hubs got the buffalo Mac and cheese. Everything was great except the buffalo Mac and cheese was extremely spicy and a little too much buffalo sauce in it. It wasnt horrible just not a do over. Both good things for me. The mediocre things - the portions were not very large for the prices. The prices are a little high for my liking. We had a group of four. I got a dozen wings and fries. That is about $20 without a drink. My wife got the nachos. The amount of topping was very little for the price. It was basically a big pile of Tostitos with a small amount of toppings. She also had a full bay leaf in her chili. The French bread pizza was good, but not enough food for an entree. Also, the homemade dressings were honestly not that good to us. They are trying, and I like the concept, but they have a business model issue with the servers. The servers have stated if they had enough servers to handle the service, they would quit because they wouldn't make enough money. So the customer suffers and they are less likely to return during busy times. The servers work hard but they just can't keep up with the demand so now the company is losing a lot of money. This also effects the tips. If they could perform more efficiently they would get much better tips which ultimately decides there positive income. Hopefully they fix this soon. Worst Service Ever!! No Management! Over an hour for a hotdog and burger! Stay away during the day! We have been to Double Dogs before and had a great experience. So we were in the area and decided to go back. Wen we sat down the waitress came by and asked us what we wanted to drinks and we placed our drink order. It took over 10 minutes for a water and sweet tea to come out. (It was mid afternoon and it was not busy) When the drinks came out we put in an order for an appetizer. The waitress disappeared from our table for a while and we needed refills for our drinks. She was nowhere to be found. Then I saw her taking sitting with her friends on the other side of the restaurant. over 20 minutes after we sat down she came over and finally took our order. She disappeared again and over 20 minutes after we ordered our main course it came out, room temperature and soggy. We asked the food runner about where our appetizer and she stated that she did not know anything about that and would grab our server. Our Server came out and we we asked about the appetizer, she said that she didn't think that we wanted an appetizer and offered no apology. We ate our luke warm food and ran our of drinks again. She was gone again. We were not getting tight on time and asked for the check. 15 minutes later it finally came. We finally paid the bill, and before we got out the door the waitress was at the table to check her tip. The only time that she paid attention was to check her tip. This told us that she know how to keep a eye on the table if she wants her money, but taking care of the customers is just too much work. There was a table sitting near us that had to keep going to the bar to get drinks and we saw them send several of them back. With the poor quality and some of the worst service that we have ever gotten it was obvious that the Double Dog has zero management. Non existent service, 20-30 min ticket times, and items being sent back. It only gets this bad when there is no one driving the ship. It had all the marks of a failing restaurant. They will probably survive despite all the incompetence because they sell drinks and are near a bunch of hotels, so they don't need to count on return business. read more

Great venue, location, staff and menu options. I'm a picky eater and found at least 8 things that were calling my name. I had a BLT and fries. The bacon was nice and crispy like I like it. The fries are skinny shoelace fries and were the perfect crispness, however they were drowning in onion powder which was way too strong to eat and changed the flavor of every bite I had of other food after that.
