DoubleDay's is a family favorite of ours. The staff is always helpful and friendly. The food is delicious. They have a little bit of everything there as well. My daughter goes crazy over their buffalo chicken sandwich and I agree. I feel the same way about the pork tenderloin sandwich. The portion sizes are great as well. The Springboro location is just down from my house, and plenty spacious so we can always grab a spot, even on the busy weekends! They have an expansive menu and are known for their Monster Pizza which I haven't actually gotten to try just yet! That is because they have a few healthier options on the menu that I tend to gravitate to, like the naked boneless wings which are my all time fav! Perfectly grilled chicken nugg bites with tasty sauces and the best ranch. There's a quinoa bowl I plan to try next for under 750 calories. Salads also look delicious too. The burgers are huge great quality, and have lots of options too; my husband likes their version of a Rodeo burger with bbq and onion straws. This restaurant is a staple. Everything is fantastic, from the service to the food! We brought the kids for pizza and the waiter made a mistake (which happens!). The way he handled it was perfect. He admitted the mistake, let us keep the incorrect pizza and had a fresh, correct pizza in front of us in no time. Very professional! The food was delicious, we got Frankie's favorite (thin crust) and a pepperoni. We also ordered the chicken pasta soup....it's a must try! Love this place we will be back soon. read more

This place has a really nice menu! My preferences are the Yeungling fish sandwich or platter (if you don't want all the bread). Also the Pork Tenderloin sandwich is fabulous, bigger than your head! I always take home half of these. Lots of other sandwiches are excellent, too, well prepared and served with good sides. Really good food. Servers have always been excellent, fast, and accommodating. Prices are a bit higher, but I normally have enough for two meals. The restaurant is a little noisy if you are seated at a table. Ask for a booth, if they are available. It's almost like being in your own room. When weather is good, there is outdoor seating, too. Pretty good, in or out. This is one of my favorite places for a really good meal, great menu, and wonderful servers. read more

Our second trip (we do not live here) but a few years ago we ordered bowls from the lean menu. Here we are again with a family visit but on our own when my mother in law reminds me (when she found out we were going) how much we enjoyed the vegan bowl before. Tried this place for the first time tonight. We first asked some folks leaving the restaurant if the food was good and they said it is fantastic. Our hopes were up and we weren't disappointed. Everything we ordered was great. I had the fish and my girlfriend had the grilled cheese and there was enough for us to share. I'm glad we did! The 5 cheese grilled cheese was big and quite tasty. This was our first time there. I had the ham&bean soup with the house salad with ranch. I enjoyed both soup and salad. Hubby had the Yuengling Fish sandwich with french onion soup. The first thing I noticed is the amount of toppings and considerate but appropriate amount of cheese. Which makes for a thicker consistency but very, very good. Nice crust. The bake is very good. Not too soft but not over crunchy. It's a very filling pizza. The salad was disappointing to say the least. Very basic, something I could make at home in minutes. The toppings seemed like they had been sitting for a while. I heard the dressing is made from scratch, not sure if that is true but the dressing was very good, I just ordered basic ranch. But let's be honest I'm not going there for the side salad, I'm going for the pizza and the pizza is the best in the area. Phone service was above average for a pizza place which I get it, doesn't exactly make it a 5 star restaurant but definitely better than most places. Polite and answered all my questions. Italian sandwich has to be the worst one I've ever had, they use pizza pepperoni and only put once slice of salami. I got two banana peppers on the whole sandwich and the bread is just folded pizza dough. It was mostly ham and the cheese wasn't even melted, I was also expecting Italian dressing or seasoning of some sort... that wasn't on there. Service and ambiance were mid tier. We have been to this location (dining in) at least twice now and the food is very good. We all enjoyed our orders on both occasions, with one exception that our waiter was a bit misleading about their chili on our first visit. I asked if it was like Cincinnati chili (which I do not like at all), and he said it was a spicy traditional chili. It was not EXACTLY Cincinnati chili, but it was rather sweet and was not spicy at all, so be aware. It has a sports bar vibe on one side, but the left side is like a traditional family dining kind of place. Something for everyone, I guess. There were a bunch of kids running around on the dining side the night we were there, but it was not too distracting. It was a Friday on our first visit, and one of the specials was a Yuengling-battered fish sandwich, which was excellent. My wife had a chicken wrap that was tasty as well, and she LOVES their one of their soups --I think it was chicken tortilla, but they don't have it every day. My second visit I got a flatbread sandwich that was like a calzone but fried, and it was great. I tried the chicken chili my second visit and unfortunately it tasted about like the regular chili but with chicken. I've heard they have good pizzas, but we have not tried them, and that's a good segue to why I cannot given them a fifth star -- they have almost ZERO online presence other than than this Yelp listing. I would gladly drive up here to pick up food to take home, but they don't have a web page or menus or anything online to reference for phoning in an order. PLEASE consider putting up a website of some kind, or even better, do online ordering.
