We really enjoyed our lunch stop here, and would return anytime we're in the area again. I had the chicken pasta soup. It was a creamy chicken soup covered with a healthy dose of parmesan cheese. The flavor was spectacular, even if the pasta was stupendously overcooked. I also had the turkey bacon & Swiss sandwich on a pretzel roll. Hubby had the pork sandwich. The fried breaded pork extended a few inches in every direction over the bun. He called this overage his appetizer and enjoyed it very much. His only downside was that the bbq sauce was suboptimal. I took one bite out of that dry ass hamburger patty and that's all I needed. Definitely more for old timey people or for those who don't have taste buds. The Italian beef or French dip I got last time was pretty bland and underwhelming.Tasteless if you will. We love Double Days! Especially their bacon cheese fries. I'm pretty sure it's the only reason my wife wants to go. Their portion sizes are usually way too big. Sometimes 3 of us will share one meal and an appetizer and still have leftovers. The only thing that they lack is a good drink menu. They don't have much. For a year or more the only cider they had was Rhinegiest Bubbles, but they finally did start carrying Angry Orchard. Service is usually good but as with everywhere nowadays it'll vary by server. read more

Hubby and I stopped in at 1:30 for lunch. I liked the smooth, clean, greyscale look of the place. We were seated in a booth right away and greeted by our server, Miranda, right away. We both ordered buffalo chicken tender salads. They were as great as they are at the original location. They were on special today so we each got a full size at the half size price. I really enjoyed my visit to this restaurant. The decor is modern and open with lots of booths and a nice bar area. Our waiter Jose was very friendly and attentive to our needs we never once had to ask for a refill which is a plus for me. My friend and I ordered margaritas and they were good. I ordered a garden side salad and the Italian Werewolf pizza on thin crust. The salad was a nice size and came with a very tasty piece of brown bread. The pizza was fantastic...full of toppings to the edge and piping hot!!! The crust was similar to Cassanos which is one of my other favorites. My friend got the taco pizza on original crust and we both agreed the thin was better. We will definitely be back. The menu is large, so there are a lot of options. Happy eating!!! read more

I ordered the French onion soup which was pretty bad. It tasted like it was chicken broth and veggie broth . But it was loaded with cheese. The rest of my meal was good (I had the triple play). My husband had chili, which was spicy but the flavor wasn't that great. Again the rest of the meal was good. We would try again because the menu has lots of choices, I just wouldn't get the French Onion Soup or Chili. read more

They have been a top choice in the Centerville area for decades and I am happy they added a location in Springboro. This location was an upscale restaurant at one time so the decor is much nicer than the Centerville location. They have a great bar area with a massive wine chiller. One of the things I love most about this place is their soups. They typically have about 8 to choose from. I love the chicken tortilla. My go to sandwich is the reuben. It's piled with a generous portion of corned beef and they served the thousand island on the side. They have excellent pizza. In fact it got so popular they created a carry out for it called Monster Pizza. I like this location also because they have a patio. It is overlooking the parking lot but I still enjoy it. If you are looking for good home cooking or even better bar type food this is your place. read more

My wife had heard great things about DoubleDay's, so we carried out after work yesterday. We were there early, about 4:30, before the apparent huge crowds get there. Food was ready to go when we arrived, even though we totally missed the dedicated carryout entrance. I went with the Honey BBQ Chicken Tender Salad which was delicious! *Tip: Order the chicken on the side and you tend to get more.* The lettuce was crisp and light, unlike most places nowadays that insist on dark green and even purple (looking at you McDonald's)! Chicken was aplenty and the honey bbq sauce was just right. As a self proclaimed ranch connoisseur, I was excited when I read other reviews about how great theirs was. It did not disappoint. Doesn't beat the all-time champ of Kroger's Creamy Ranch, but really made the salad never the less. (That rug really tied the room together!) I just finished the rest for lunch today, and I ate so much I'm writing this to stay awake. Excited to go back and try some different items at DoubleDay's! read more

Came here for a late lunch on a Sunday for the first time. We sat outside, which I think was a great choice because the inside of the restaurants atmosphere is nothing special, also very dark lighting. However, the food we had hit the spot and was exactly what we were wanting. Their fries are very delicious and the sandwich I had was excellent. My mother and I were there for dinner. She ordered the roast beef hot shot, and unfortunately she found FOUR pieces of paper in her mashed potatoes. She asked if she could just have the meat and they could take off the mashed potatoes, which they did. The waitress still charged her for the full dinner. When my mother asked the waitress to speak to her manager she copped an attitude. After all that, the manager only comped two soda's. My mother nor myself will be going back anytime soon. When a customer is given mashed potatoes with four pieces of PAPER in it, you should comp their meal and apologize. read more

We have been coming to this location since they opened the second one. Normally have good food and service. The last few months we have gone we had three separate visits with hair in our food. Seems insane to get hair three separate times but clearly someone with longer dark brown/black hair now works in the kitchen. The first time it was on my food, second time was baked into the toppings on my daughters loaded mashed potatoes and the third in an appetizer. With the appetizer it was in there good enough that when you pulled it the appetizer moved with the hair. Seriously need to take some basic kitchen prep and cleanliness classes. Employees, especially whomever has that longer dark brown/black hair, should really wear hairnets. Disappointed for sure in what was one of our favorite local stops. read more

Pretty great place. Burgers, chicken, soups, salads. The soft pretzel bites with jalapeño cheddar dip are an amazing appetizer. Highly recommend that. So far, everything we've had has been delicious.
