We were up very early NYE to see the sights and avoid the crowds so donuts and espresso sounded just the thing! This place has a lot of different flavors as well as vegan options and it's hard to choose but we went with a Cannoli donut and a lemon poppy seed! Cute little donut shop. There is no seating, so be prepared to grab them and take them elsewhere. Lots of areas in Rockefeller Center if the weather is nice though! Service is pleasant and kind. About the donuts - they're big/thick. They're also expensive ($5.45 each). Taste wise, I'd say they're fine. I'm glad I experienced them but not something I'd go back for again due to price. But I'd say try them at least once! read more

I'm disappointed with the quality. I used to love going to Dough on 19th Street. During my last visit I noticed the glaze on the donut made it damp, I can't explain it. Basically, the glaze was not hardened on the donut. The donut tasted like I was eating frosted Wonder bread. read more

The doughnuts here were pretty bad. Not inedible, but not very good either. The flavor wasn't terrible, but the doughnut texture wasn't great. They were super dense and dry. I know they are called Dough, but they were way too doughy for me. I literally just took a small bite of the four doughnuts that I got (Hibiscus, Dulce de Leche, Nutella, and Strawberry Shortcake), and threw them away because they were not enjoyable. I don't think I will ever be back. read more

I don't know why I didn't expect this place to have any vegan options, but sure enough they did! Even though they were just about to close, the person at the register cheerfully suggested their favorites of the vegan options and I went with a cinnamon and sugar doughnut. As per usual when doughnuts are involved, I consumed the doughnut with great haste before even considering taking a photo of said doughnut. Imagine a soft, pillowy, doughy delight with a perfect undercurrent of yeasty goodness -- sprinkled with cinnamon and sugar. A bonus here, of course, is the Rockefeller Plaza outdoor seating area right next door as a place to hang with my beau and enjoy a delicious treat on a surprisingly not-too-hot evening in NYC. read more

More like cake than donut. Service was fine but when I think of a traditional donut this is definitely not it. They're huge and dense. You might get what you pay for in size but I wouldn't say these are quality donuts, definitely dough-y not so much donut-y. read more

If you love doughy doughnuts, then this place is for you! I mean, it's in the name. They have one of the most amazing selections I've ever seen, and I love that they have vegan and gluten-free options (I don't need either, but have friends and family that do). The friendliest and most helpful staff and they are never wrong with their recommendations. The doughnuts are quite large. It depends on how hungry you are - you could eat one yourself, or you might find you'd rather share. My husband can devour an entire Nutella and I can definitely eat the Ube Cheesecake on my own, but some of the others do require help :) Enjoy and don't forget to get some coffee to cut the sweetness! read more

Dough's doughnuts remain my favorite in New York. I've visited (and reviewed) some of their other locations over the years, but I recently checked out their newest Rockefeller Center shop and did not leave disappointed. While this store is bigger than their Urbanspace Vanderbilt and Time Out market stands, it is significantly smaller than their Flatiron and Prospect Heights stores. That is to be expected in an expensive, touristy area like Rockefeller Center, but it's still something to keep in mind. The store was packed, with about five other customers waiting in front of me (and the line continued outside). I've raved about Dough's lemon poppy doughnut in the past, but it wasn't available this time around. There were a bunch of seasonal flavors on display, however, so I decided to go with the gingerbread doughnut. It tasted just like a gingerbread cookie, and the glaze and cookie crumble were delicious. I would definitely get it again! read more

If you want a dense sugar-bomb donut, this is not your place. The donut is cake-like but fluffy and beautifully risen. The flavors may seem subtle because they aren't drenched in sugar icing. There is a subtle nutmeg flavor in the donut like a classic cake donut but not so heavy that it sinks into your tummy. I had the chocolate with cocoa nibs sprinkles. It was chocolate-y and the nibs enhanced the flavor. I also had the lemon blueberry. The lemon was not a sweet lemon pound cake lemon but again, subtle and the blueberry oat crumble enhanced the flavor. Great to have alone or with coffee. The quality of ingredients shine. We discovered this tucked away gem by a very happy coincidence. We tried lemon blueberry, mocha almond (this was nice but the least impressive of the three) and Boston cream (AMAZING !!!) flavors. Coffee is passable. The service and atmosphere are charming. Probably the best donuts I ever had and as others noted as well, they are not too sweet like most donuts in other bakeries. Definitely give them a try and support similar small businesses. read more

OMG, I just paid $35 for 6 doughnuts somebody please shoot me, but wait first I need to chump down the new revamped Chocofeller doughnut. The Chocofeller is like a brioche doughnut, filled with a luscious chocolate mousse, glazed with Dark Chocolate, and topped with a Chocolate Crunch. So good that that is when you realized why the average price here for a doughnut is so high. Dough makes some pretty good doughnuts! They have some fun and different flavors in addition to the traditional ones. Some of my favorites are the Nutella filled doughnut and the cream filled beignet. The blueberry lemon doughnut was also nice but the flavors weren't super strong. The doughnuts are a generous size but they are pretty expensive! That's why I took away one star. The location is good, right next to Rockefeller Center. read more

I should have listened to the guy who recommended me all the fruity donuts instead of just getting their chocolate donut. But wat can I say I'm a chocolate lover and I was craving it lol The chocolate donut wasn't bad, it just had a different chocolate flavor that I was used to. I will complain and say it was tough to find according to the location it gives? And yet I passed it like 10 times and was so confused by where to find the address that I didn't realize I was passing it. Big facepalm moment. ANYWAY, Dough was delicious!!! The Chocofeller was 10/10 but you also can't beat a classic Glaze. If you like Raspberry and Lemon, I would try the Hibiscus because those were the flavors I picked up from it. And I was also a fan of the Mocha flavor, rich flavor that I liked. read more

Was in town for Biz and had a hankering for a good donut. Solid variety and good service-- it's a small shop close to Rock Center and it was fun to see Andy Garcia leaving an interview en route. I had the black berry lemon and the mango coconut-- both were good with a nod for the tropical donut. These things are huge and worth the $5 each. I also liked that they were subtly sweet. First time here-- only got one donut and it was the hibiscus flavor. I asked the nice lady behind the counter which donuts are the best and she suggested hibiscus or the dulce de leche and I choose the hibiscus... bad mistake, either bad batch or just little to no hibiscus flavor. Next time I'll get the dulce de leche and a couple others and see if my rating changes. At least it didn't taste bad. read more

On our last day in NYC I bought 4 donuts for my wife and I for breakfast. Of course prices were not listed on their website. So I was a bit shocked when the total price was $22.60 plus tip. Ouch. To be honest they were somewhat dense and not as flavorful as we had expected. I would have been better off going a block away from our hotel to the closest Dunkin' Donuts. WHOA! These monster donuts were a huge hit for our office team. The unique flavors are inventive and refreshing from the usual humdrum donuts you typically find. They are super filling and rich. The Nutella is a showstopper for sure and not to be passed up...trust me! The store was clean and organized and single-handedly serviced by Ramek who was super friendly, patient and helpful considering the volume of patrons. My friend and I went here for a mid-afternoon pick me up, and were absolutely floored by how huge these donuts are!! They're literally the size of two regular donuts, and have some weight to them!! I got the Mocha Almond Crumble donut (points for being so creative with the flavors), and it was delicious but veryyyy filling and denser than I expected. Definitely cleaned my pallet from our Chinese lunch and it helped cool me down from the New York heat. We got water, but there was no ice offered, so I asked one of the workers and he was kind enough to get me some. We are through that dessert like, if we didn't finish it fast, it was going to melt. After dinner with my friends, I was looking for dessert and I was glad to see this location closes relatively late on a weekday night at 11 pm. Upon walking in, I was greeted by a waiter who led us to one of the purple velvet chair booths that was perfect for two people and another waiter brought us a pitcher of water almost immediately. The menu is on a QR code already on the table and we were given ample of time to decide. My friend and I both already knew what we wanted to order. I got the purple Yam Souffle which takes 25 minutes to make and my friend got the fried squid tails. We also got a signature Rose Green Milk Tea to share. The waitress who took our order has great memory and recalled all of our items without writing it down. She also reminded me that I could adjust the ice and sugar levels of my drink which I had completely forgotten and would have got annoyed if my drink came out 100% sweetness. Another thing is that my drink order frequently comes out wrong at other locations so I was glad she got it right! Green tea instead of black tea and with milk instead of without milk. The purple Yam Souffle is just like the other locations. Hot, soft cakey texture balanced with an ice cold red bean Ice-Cream. So delicious! The squid tails on the other hand was not what we expected. It came out burnt and hard. The outer batter was not crispy either. We informed one of the waiters and he brought it back to inform the kitchen staff. We received a new batch that was not as burnt and had more flavoring this time around. However, the squid was still hard and not like the ones we get from other locations with smaller crispier pieces. Overall, it was still a good experience and I love the decorations at this location! This might be my second favorite location after the Flushing one. Would love to come back for brunch or hi-tea. Or regular food options when I have not already eaten dinner. My usual go-tos are the twister fries, Santa Fe chicken rolls, fried salted crispy chicken, and the trio dessert combo. However, this location has a lot more variety! FYI - there are two unisex restrooms in the rear for customers to use with really cute wallpapers too.

During my recent visit to Dough's Doughnut in New York, I was pleasantly surprised by the freshness and full-bodied flavors of their handmade doughnuts. What really adds to the experience is being able to watch the doughnuts being made right in front of you, which made me appreciate the craft behind them even more. With so many varieties available, it's honestly hard to choose, but I ended up trying a few interesting flavors. The Hibiscus doughnut was a unique pick. It has a sweet and tangy glaze made with dried Mexican hibiscus and is topped with a candied hibiscus flower. I wasn't quite sure what to expect, but the flavor was refreshingly different, a nice balance of sweetness and a slight tartness, which gave it a distinct character. Next up was the Passion Fruit doughnut, which had a sweet and tart glaze made from high-quality passion fruit puree, topped with crunchy cocoa nibs. This one was light, vibrant, and had a tropical zing that really stood out. However, my absolute favorite was the Dulce De Leche - Almonds. It had a rich, house-made dulce de leche glaze that was deliciously sweet without being overpowering, and the crunchy sliced almonds added just the right amount of texture. To pair with the doughnuts, I grabbed a latte, which was just what I needed to complete the experience. It was smooth and balanced, complementing the flavors of the doughnuts perfectly. The service at Dough's was equally impressive. The staff was super friendly, helpful, and really seemed to enjoy what they do, which only made the experience more enjoyable. It's clear they take pride in not just the doughnuts, but the entire experience they offer. It's a small place, we waited for around 10 mins for other customers to pick up their doughnuts. Overall, if you're ever in near Rockefeller Center NY and craving something fresh and flavorful, Dough's Doughnut is a must-visit.
