If they just served Coke! Outstanding fast service for Friday lunch. Abraham was very knowlegable and friendly. He hustled but checked back with us often. Both our burger and chicken were perfect.

Do yourself a favor and get something with their biscuits. Doesn't matter what meal it is, so long as it has a biscuit with it. My husband got the chicken fried steak, which was huge. The white gravy was really flavorful and perfectly thick, on top of hashbrowns with two eggs and a biscuit. They had a house made blackberry jelly and a green grape jelly- both were good, the blackberry was a little better. But the biscuit made me want to sing. Perfectly soft and pillowy, with a perfect soft crust. I got the egg Benedict with pulled pork on the biscuit, and I loved my choice. The pulled pork was a little dry, but everything else was spot on. The pesto and fresh tomato it was served with looked like a garnish, but don't skip it- it added a ton of interesting flavor to the dish. I did a hazelnut latte as well, which was good, although the flavor could have been stronger. Our server was very accommodating and patient while we worked through our friend's order. The interior is pretty standard upscale diner. Highly highly recommend, and seriously, get a biscuit.

Chicken quesadilla with guacamole, sour cream, and rice (substituted for beans)

New place today. Trued it based on the left over quesadilla I had given to me, which was fabulous, even after reheating. Today's lunch was really good. Lunch quesadilla with chicken, hold tomatoes and pico, substituted rice for beans. Pork tamales with red/green chili, rice & beans Regular review: Excellent flavor and good portion size, stuffed full of chicken. Chicken overcooked and it was dry and tough. Tortilla was just about perfect. Cheese was a good flavor blend but smaller than needed to balance out the large chicken portion. Guacamole was made well, no tomatoes, no filler and no heat. Heavy on the lime to the point it over powered the avocado. About half the lime was needed. Not too salty. Red salsa was the thin and no tomato chunks at all. Good flavor and subtle heat that took several dips to notice. Green chili was very good flavor and consistency. Slight heat that grew. More heat than the red chili or red salsa. Pork tamales were just about perfect: great flavor and texture. No heat so you could add your own to taste with the red or green chili. Refried beans were also great: good flavor and consistency, topped with melted cheese. Server Adrian was attentive and checked on us often. Will definitely come back and try new modifications. Disabled review: I am mostly in a wheelchair, must avoid acidic, peppers & tomatoes, and have no top teeth. -Entryway access was fair with a turn, table seating was good and out of the traffic. Did not visit the restroom. All of the above still valid except: -Lime overwhelming in guacamole (acidic), but flavor was great otherwise. -overcooked chicken was dry/ tough and mostly unchewable (husband ate some and was dry/tough for him also) -onions were cooked enough to get the heat out but were crunchy (husband tested them) so that I could not eat them I think that with a request to cook everything limp/moist, this will not only be a great flavor quesadilla, but one I can eat. -tortilla was grilled in oil/butter but dry for me (perfect with teeth)

    Huevos Rancheros

Overall, it was a nice experience at Doug's Diner. First, our server made us laugh when we asked what was good and he said everything was popular. But once we narrowed it down he was happy to help us decide. Unfortunately he didn't refill our waters but did give us an iced tea to go after we asked. The food was okay too. The Huevos Rancheros were two eggs on top of a corn tortilla topped with green chili and cheese. Nothing special and tastes exactly like it sounds. The Hot Oats was honestly one of the worst foods I've ever tasted. Textually it was everything you could not want. We also ordered a basic breakfast and the turkey sausage while dense was flavorful with nice spice from green chilies. Biscuit is more bread like than your traditional flaky biscuits. It's was also dense and a little tough. Maybe we got a batch that was a little too over worked. The house made preserves are very good and The plum was our personal favorite. Don't forget to order a side of green chili it goes fantastic on anything! It's got a nice little kick too and the best part of the meal. The salad was the best part. Crisp and delicious with a nice portion of chicken and toppings. There was a great mix of greens and the chicken was cooked very nicely. The restaurant overall was very clean and the food came out fast with no errors. If I come back, I will be trying something new from what we ordered.

This was a great diner I found on Yelp that had good reviews. We actually started with a decadent cinnamon bun (not pictured, attacked it before I was able to take a photo) recommended by our lovely waiter Jose. It was fluffy, hot, and smothered in delicious icing. My Huevos Rancheros was so good and flavorful. It came with two over easy eggs on corn tortillas topped with red chili sauce, some delicious refried beans, and ribbon potatoes. It also had an extra flour tortilla and some salad; a hearty plate of freshly made food. My husband's breakfast was equally delicious. We also had their delicious homemade biscuit with jam. This place was a great find and I highly recommend it if you are in the Fort Collins area. The staff is very friendly and welcoming including our waiter Jose who made great recommendations.

It was Sunday afternoon, but we were after the lunch rush. I was with my husband and daughter for a late lunch. It seemed like there were very few staff on hand. We were greeted and seated promptly, though. I like the layout of the menu with the pictures for their burgers. We started with an order of the cheese curds. It came with chipotle ketchup and we asked for a side of chipotle ranch as well. My daughter chose the Hangover Burger which consisted of a beef burger with American cheese, fried egg, bacon and maple syrup all on a "bun" of two glazed donuts. She paired that with a Unicorn Shake, a mixture of vanilla ice cream, strawberry, cherry and rainbow candy. She loved it! My husband went for the Cream Cheese Jalapeno burger. A beef patty piled high with red onion, shredded lettuce, cream cheese, jalapenos, roasted poblanos, bacon and chipotle aioli. We did question the source for their shredded lettuce and our server explained that it was locally sourced. He thoroughly enjoyed his burger. I went for the Poutine Burger. It was also piled high on a beef patty with greens, red onions, beer-battered cheese curds, demi glace, garlic aioli and crispy sweet potato ribbons. Delish! I would get that one again, for sure. I understand it was due to shorter staff, but the six top behind us was cluttered with the remnants of the previous diners throughout our time there as was a large group space behind it. It seemed as though there were only two people handling customers, food delivery and clean up and they seemed overwhelmed. That was my only caveat for the experience. Our table service and interactions with staff were great though.

They're rated really high -- actually one of the highest-rated restaurants in Fort Collins -- and from a food perspective I don't really understand why. Sliders with sweet potato fries -- fine, nothing extraordinary. Potato éclairs -- . It was really just mashed potatoes with some topping on it. I honestly didn't even finish it. Mountain oysters -- huge letdown. They came out so overcooked they were basically crunchier than potato chips, with the batter crumbling off. I've never had them before, so I didn't get a good representation of how they're supposed to be -- these were just super-cooked batter. On the space: we ended up sitting in three different spots to eat. We went outside by the street first -- super loud, and people were smoking, so we headed back in. The open spot inside was right under the AC and about forty degrees, so we moved to the back area. The back was fine -- covered -- but pretty dirty, with mop buckets and clutter sitting around. The one drink I had was a good value since we were there at happy hour -- some kind of fruity whiskey drink. It was fine, but nothing I'd seek out again. I hate to give such a friendly place a bad review. It'd be a really great spot if you're a college student who wants some cheap bites and a drink -- but honestly it's just bar food, and the ceiling is probably a 4 on a really good day. I wouldn't get excited to head down there, and parking is a bit of a hassle too. Would recommend only if you're after very cheap eats in that area -- check them out for happy hour. But I would not return.

We were offered indoor or outdoor seating and we opted for outdoors on this balmy 80-degree evening. Wife N started with a mocktail: Summer Crush. Delicious and we didn't miss the normally included liquors in the spirited version. She ordered a make it yourself burger: just the bun, patty, some ketchup and mayo. Medium. Side of fries. Her way. Burger perfect medium. Fries were crispy, above average. I ordered the Mushroom Avocado burger, also medium. Burger was juicy, flavorful, and the tempura avocados were an interesting twist on the un-fried norm. First couple bites had some crisp but mostly the avocados got soggy halfway through. Not sold on the tempura frying but the sandwich on the whole was great. Got some local draft on the side. Well taken care of, food was great, will return.

She even had some to take home. I was up for something different tonight. I chose the PBJ burger. A fun creation with peanut butter, bacon, roasted jalapeño, fig spread and cheddar. This was such a fun flavor combination. I had tots as my side. They were crispy outside and tender inside. It all paired well with my pint of Sad Panda. Delish! There is not much sound dampening in this space. When crowded it becomes difficult to hear conversation. There was also a gentleman performing popular songs while accompanying himself on guitar. It all mixed together to be a bit much for me. Our service at the bar was attentive, even with the crowd. Great service, great food, tasty brews.
