    Wedge salad, no tomatoes
    Esme N.

My #1 pregnancy craving was the wedge salad from Down on Grayson. Is the lettuce simply a vehicle for the dressing and toppings? 100%, but my gosh, the whole thing is delicious. It's a huge salad and I eat the whole thing every time. I'm always the last one to finish their meal when I get this because I'm stuffing the whole plate into my mouth. The blue cheese dressing is incredible with lots of nice chunks of cheese. Beyond the wedge salad, we always have very good service here with attentive waitstaff and quick turnaround times for drinks and food.

    Chopped Caesar with Crispy Chicken

Came here with a group of friends on a busy Saturday morning and did not have to wait very long for a table (less than 5 mins). My friend asked for a latte without sugar or sweetener and was given a sweetened latte, they said they always add sweetener? He didn't drink it. My chopped Caesar salad was really good!! Chicken was seasoned amazingly and my friends loved the portion sizes of their sandwiches and fries and the taste. Cute interior and lots of outdoor seating as well near the farmers market. Overall: decent place for brunch in SA

Here to for the first time!

Was very excited to try this place for hr first time. The outside is very nice and well decorated and with shades and fans throughout the patio. Place looks nice and fancy on the outside side and inside. While searing outside waiting for our number to be buzzed, while waiting under a tree (shade), I got pooped on by a bird! Our number was called and walked in and we walked inside to a line of people waiting to be assigned to their seats. People were going around the line to the hostess without waiting in line like the others. Very unorganized way to greet and seat people. We ordered fried chicken and anticucho with a couple of mojitos. First the anticucho meat came cold, as it didn't event get reheated or for that fact, cooked fresh! Had to re-take the plate back due to the meat being cold. Not even two minutes passed and we had the plate back. Meat was microwave hot and everything else was still cold. But, we decided not to waste time and just ate what we had ordered. Alcohol drinks were good but they overfill the small glasses with lots of ice! Over all, closed to $100 for fried chicken, chunk of small cutting steak w/hard to chew nerves. Very disappointing experience! Check other places to enjoy your hard earned money and not here.

The food was amazing. Lizzie, our server was equally as amazing as the food! My fillet was cooked a little bit more than what I ordered; But Aaron and Lizzie worked hard to make it right. Very happy With the experience. We will definitely return.

We enjoyed DOG on a beautiful April evening outside under the umbrellas. Food was delicious, and the service was perfect!

Down on Grayson is a cool spot. The vibe seems to be trendy for the area. They offer a few TVs in the bar area of you're looking to post up for a bite to eat and a little something to eat. It's a small menu that features sandwiches and salads but does offer entrees such as steak and chicken dishes. For the items that are offered on the menu; they all seem basic but yet are pricey. They have some of the best onion rings and roasted Brussels sprouts that I've had in SATX Service was pretty good for what seemed to be a busy evening.

Nice to sit outside in March, but i door tables available. Comfy lighting and tables. Good music. Attentive staff. Not too loud to talk, but loud enough to bring the kids. Parking lot in front. Good food. Nice large wedge salad. And grouper in San Antonio! All dishes well prepared, all happy with their meal. Recommend.

What a great experience Caitlin our server was great We had an outdoor table. It was so nice for a change to be at a casual formal restaurant where the music wasnt too loud to even chat. It was perfect. Cozy calm music ...and such a calm outdoor setting The food was really good too. The only complaint we had is that the bun on the fish sandwich was not good. Carrot cake and the prickly pear nojito was so good Another good thing is they validate your parking which is a great thing at the pearl district

Their sliders are delicious and were cooked medium just as we had ordered. I have never had a bad meal here, always perfect

Nice bar by the pearl, but pricy for what you get. We ordered the beer and margaritas for our drinks. This place is busy on weekends. The steak was good cut size, the French style burger was dry when it came out. The server was good to ask about allergies. You do have to pay to park at this restaurant.

It was surprisingly tasty. The restaurant is kind of big but it felt cozy. And the service was great. Thank you Trinity.

One of the best places for outdoor dining in San Antonio! We came on a sunny & hot evening with our pup and we were pleasantly surprised by how comfortable the patio was. There was plenty of shade, misters, and it was so clean and well-manicured. We started with the parmesan fries which were such a treat. For my entree, I ordered the Caesar salad with crispy chicken. It was fresh and delicious, and the Parmesan crisp was an elevated alternative to croutons. I ordered an aperol spritz to drink and it was made perfectly. Definitely recommend!

    Panini
    Karina E.

The place was clean, dim lit, and aesthetically pleasing. I really enjoyed the vibe. I always enjoy mocktails being on menus and I was excited to try the strawberry basil smash and it was delicious! The panini was good, although not my preferred cup of tea but I can tell it was a good mix of flavors. We also had Brussels sprouts (not pictured) that were delicious! My friend had the frozen Rita and it wasn't her favorite. Overall I would try this place again.

Destined to be one of the gems of Pearl Street. Just start ordering appetizers and never turn back.

They used to have a great sommelier who was fun , knew his stuff and always engaging - now I almost feel like I am bothering them by dining. To be fair, it's skeleton staff which worked as we were there at lunch but as the Pearl was crowded - no clue how they would cope with a large crowd as even we came close to leaving and going somewhere else twice : One when we were handed a paired down menu - my husband has always loved their beer list as they have some rare finds and at first it appeared that was gone - but they do have a full menu and he found some good picks! And second when we almost gave up on the next round! That said is a beautiful space with so many great wines - I enjoyed their bubbles flight ( it's not on the menu but they do offer to curate flights based on your likes) , my husband found some stellar beers and we enjoyed a cheese / charcuterie plate and flatbread! Will still always love coming here and recommend it but it's not as fun or inviting as it used to be !

Our twelve guests ranged in age from 14-79 years, and everyone had a wonderful experience. We began with waters for the table, soft drinks, and cocktails/mocktails (Man Walks into a Bar, Amba No. 5, Don Alberto, Green Shug Collins). Due to our large party, we had booked a chef's tasting experience, which was spectacular. The appetizers were plentiful, flavorful, and unique. Our server, Anissa, did a wonderful job of explaining each dish-- its components, highlights, even suggesting that after finishing the beef dumplings, we stir the oil and yogurt together for an amazing pita dipping sauce. Our meal included four meats-- actually five, considering an off menu chef's creation for our pescatarian guest. It was such an immersive experience, I never took out my phone to capture photos of the food (or our group, sadly). Three desserts topped off the evening. When (not if) we return, we'll certainly request Anissa again. She made the evening a complete delight, even bringing out celebratory candles for our honored guests.

Overall, I'd say most of the people in our group probably would not go back, but I don't necessarily think that was because the food was bad or lacking flavor. I think a lot of us just weren't very accustomed to Mediterranean flavor profiles and this style of dining. Most of us really enjoyed the dips, the meats, and the desserts. Those were definitely the standout parts of the meal for our group. Some of the dishes in between were a little more questionable for us personally -- we tried everything, but there wasn't necessarily one specific dish we completely fell in love with. That being said, the experience itself was amazing. The atmosphere was so cool and unlike anything we had done before. Being served course after course and getting to experience so many different dishes made the meal feel really unique and memorable. All of the staff members who waited on us were absolutely fantastic and so understanding of some of our questioning looks while trying unfamiliar foods. Everyone was incredibly friendly, welcoming, and made the experience feel fun and comfortable from start to finish. If you already love Mediterranean food, this place may be right up your alley. I just think it's good to know what kind of flavor profiles to expect before coming, especially if you're newer to this type of cuisine. Overall, we still had a great time there.

Beer, wine and pizza...what's not to love about The Growler Exchange?…read more For those of you who have never been to this amazing business before, The Growler Exchange is a tap room and restaurant which carries a huge variety of unique beers, as well as some of the most delicious pizza you've ever had in your life. I've been a regular at this restaurant for 5 years and I can tell you that quality has stayed the same throughout the years. I also appreciate that they now have a bigger variety of wines and you can also buy beer and wine to-go. If you are looking to try their amazing pizza, their most popular pie (and my husband's favorite) is their Mike's Special which is a red sauce pizza with mozzarella, pepperoni, bacon and topped with honey drizzle. However, if you prefer something spicy (like I do), I highly recommend their Spicy Meat Sweats which is also a red sauce pizza with mozzarella, garlic sausage, pepperoni, salami, bacon and topped with some very spicy chili oil. Hope everyone gets to try this amazing local business, and don't forget to bring your growler with you! PSA for the parents: They do welcome kids, and they even have a changing station in the women's bathroom.
