At least acknowledge your customers....long story short after sitting in my car and being ignored I was only helped because I got out and went into the advisors and said "can anyone help me? I've had an appt and have been waiting and no one is acknowledging me!" Another gentleman helped me Andres and asked Maury if I was his appointment and he said"you can have it!" Never again! DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM DOWNEY NISSAN. These guys tried to pull a 'Yo-Yo' Financing Scam on my family last month. (https://www.nerdwallet.com/blog/loans/auto-loans/avoid-yo-yo-financing-spot-deliveries/) We drove down to this dealership due to the very attractive offer for a 2018 Rogue. This vehicle had low milage, great features and was in the perfect color... all too good to be true. We arrived at the dealership, were wine and dined by their sales managers and then spent the next SIX HOURS negotiating with the dealership. At the time it was worth it because of the attractive offer, "amazing deals and concessions" they made for us and free donuts in the service area. Despite a brief run in with their sleazy finance manager (Rick C), we left the dealership at 12AM happy with our new car. Fast forward 5 days later, we receive the attached certified letter from Nissan - this is a LAWCA-NEREX Notice of Contract Cancelation stating that our financing through the dealership did not go through. I should take a moment and say that while we had external financing from our own banks, we were bamboozled into taking the dealer financing when they offered us an additional $450 "promotion." This was extremely surprising as we have 750+ credit (the sleazy finance manager Rick C even commented that he NEVER sees credit this high). After a LOT of internet searching, calls to our legal counsel and reddit conversations, we discovered that this a very typical scam dealers play with (usually) low income, poor credit buyers. If you see the link up top or search Yo-Yo scam, you will see that this happens to many people. We were surprised as, again, we have exceptional credit but then did a search on their website to FIND OUR CAR STILL LISTED!! Using a friend's phone we inquired about the car AND had someone from Downey call us to ask when we wanted to take a test drive!! How are you test driving a car that is sitting in my garage!?!?!! Upon pressing for details on the vehicle, the sales guy did say that it had been sold, but apparently listed the sale date as 14 days AFTER we purchased it. Bottomline, avoid this place at all costs. I would never wish this sort of stress, headache and ulcers to anyone. If the price is too good to be true, it probably is, ESPECIALLY at Downey Nissan. read more

I bought an extended warranty for my Nissan, Armada a few years ago, from Nissan. This is the first time I've had to use it the service department was great, except for the car rental that is a part of my warranty. The first day they said it didn't kick in until the 2nd day which would then cover the 1st day as well!! This was on a Tuesday I believe, the rental car place didn't get a reservation from Nissan, so I put it on my credit card and the reservation was supposed to go in on the next day a Wednesday, no reservation. Raymond called me on Thursday at 4:43pm to pick up my truck and he'd take me across the street to Enterprise to take care of the rental. I get there at 5:12 and was informed he went home at 5'oclock and they bring my truck out I asked if anyone could take me to the rental place they said everyone was gone for the day. So know I have 2 cars at Nissan and no ride to take the rental back, and was informed that I would have to wait until Raymond was there. I then drove the rental to Enterprise and they took me back to my truck, still no reservation. I got the receipt and left. Know they're saying they may not pay for the rental because it was a Jeep, I asked for a car a little larger than the economy because 1st I had a Truck 2nd I need to put my grand baby's car seat and stroller in it. They said fine because when they get the reservation they would do a price match. But had the sent in are called Enterprise with the reservation I wouldn't have had a problem because they would've known what to give me?? So today is the next Tuesday and I'm still trying to get my reimbursement! Very unprofessional!! read more

I was charged $180 for a diagnostic and was told that if there were any repairs that it would be covered by the diagnostic fee. Turns out that any repairs would have to be related to the diagnostic issue I was coming in for. This is my second time coming in for my Nissan Leaf and I was wondering why I went back despite my first experience being bad. I should have listened to that voice because I had already diagnosed the issue as being with my home charger. I paid $180 to have them tell me what I already knew. Never going back. read more

Do not take your car here for service. We bought our car here, so we figured we would just bring it back for service and/or any concerns. Our car A/C was not working properly we had it set into the 60's but felt like we had the heater running instead. We brought the car back multiple times, and they would always say it's working fine. The radio would turn on/off on its own while we were driving, but they also said that nothing wrong as it would not replicate any of the problems I addressed. The battery died off and had to get a replacement battery with in the first year we purchased the car. The car would periodically not start and would need a jumpstart. The car was still under warranty as it was below 36000 miles and 3 years of purchase date. Took car in they sent video where car was running and A/C and radio functioning according to them. They did find that my car needed oil change, and they were happy to take my $. The other issues not addressed as they would fall under warranty. Guessing they were waiting for 3 years or 36000 miles to addre$$ the issue. Drove off, and the next morning, the car wouldn't start. Place is a rip-off!!! Took car to Cerritos Nissan, and they were able to find what's was wrong and took care of it at No cost as it's still under warranty. Gave them 1 star because I can't write review if I don't give them any. Save yourself self the headaches time and $ and do business elsewhere. read more

I bought my car at this location about 2 yrs ago now and I've brought it in for every service. Everyone's always been real nice and professional and the online appointment setting is really convenient. My only drawback here is the wait. Generally, all my services are oil changes and I usually set my appointments as early as possible (usually 7 am if available) and somehow my oil changes always manage to take 2 hrs. I appreciate that they never try to upsell any other services than what I need and the waiting area comes with free coffee and is clean, but 2 hrs for an oil change? Idk, seems very lengthy to me. My car was serviced for a recall and I was advised of other services needed which they were not done at the time. When I drove off, I noticed that the time in the car's clock had been changed and was not set back to the correct time. Also, the lights had been turned off - when I always have them in automatic (not the first time). Last but not least, the auto up function in the driver's window wasn't working. I needed to "google" it to figure out how to reset this function because somehow, it was gone and it was working just fine when I dropped my car off. In the past, always had issues with either the lights, radio, or the "service engine" warning on the dashboard because the oil has been changed and the tech had forgotten to reset it. I went to this dealership yesterday to get my car fixed because my check engine light turned on, I scanned my car to see what the problem was, turns out it was the active grill shutter, knowing that this part is covered by Nissan's warranty I took it to the dealership, I explained to the guy the situation, he said he needed to keep it to run a diagnostic and they wanted to charge me 215 just for that, why would I pay them 215 for them just to tell me what I already knew was wrong with my car, to me it seemed like they just wanted a quick cash grab knowing the part was covered by warranty, the guy from the front desk, Francisco, seemed bothered because I told him it was too much and that I wasn't going to leave the car, quite frankly there is no reason for him to act bothered. It was a good choice to walk out on it anyway because I went to Nissan of Alhambra and they took care of it without charging me a single penny, they even checked the car to see if what I was telling them was indeed the issue. If I could give a negative star I would. Dropped my car off Saturday at 9am with an appointment. Was told they were backed up so it MAY have to stay until Monday. They provided me the number to text for updates from Nory. I never heard a single thing all day Saturday. I sent a message to the text line Sunday and never heard (not knowing they were closed), I called twice and was placed on a hold so even other parts of the dealership didn't know they weren't open obviously. Got a message at 7am today saying the technicians aren't in until 8 so I'll get a message after. Sent message right after about the horrible communication. Got a message at 830 saying the technicians were working on my car. I left messages via the text and voicemail for 4 hours trying to get an update and never did. Called the general line and finally got an update which they said they can't find anything wrong with it. So then why the heck did it take 4 hours of zero communication to say that? Don't go here! Horrible place that shouldn't be trusted with your vehicles! Oh and did I mention it will cost me $200 to hear nothing is wrong?
