Well where can i start, I came here because my cousin recommended me to this place because I was having trouble at the original dealership where I got my car at, was trying to charge me for a bunch of other things that didn't need to be fixed. I just went in for a transmission oil change and although they took some time because I had a few recalls that needed to be taken care of. They provide me with an Uber ride to my home until my vehicle was ready and since the recall had something to do with the transmission they also didn't charge me for the oil change as they said it would be covered by the dealership. Not only did they not charge me a dime for the labor they did but they also cleaned my car inside out thoroughly before returning it to me I couldn't be any more thankful and very happy with the work and the way they treated me. I'm definitely coming back 4 my next transmission oil change, my car was running good when I took it in came out running even better, just ask for Randy I'm sure he'll take care of you. read more

Got a oil change on Monday and had the worst experience , I got the oil change and then was told I had a oil leak (which I never had before and have only gone to dealers) then was recommended a bunch of services I clearly informed the service advisor I had taken care of prior to them working on my car so i don't know if they just don't listen or just try to make more money and be crooked ,so never the less they wanted to charge me to look at the car to determine the issue and I asked if I still had warranty and was told no , so today I went to the dealer I usually go to just to get another opinion and was told I still do have a warranty and everything wrong will be cover also there was no oil leak, the oil plug was reinstalled incorrectly and I got a loaner car, none of this was ever offered to me at Downey , I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE NOR WILL I EVER GO BACK HERE ***BEWARE** read more

If I could I'll be eating this a ZERO!!! Let's start off being stuck there for 5+ hours for NOTHING no cleaning lady sanitizing until the end of the day with NO face mask yes I care because I have my daughter with underlying condition which I obviously did not take but I made sure I wiped down everything with my own personal stuff and made sure I used my own hand sanitizer constantly because no one there seemed to care that there's a pandemic that have cost many precious lives. Ok next we walked in and after many hours there not only the fact that I didn't understand not a single word from the sales guy Omar but made us believe we were in his words 99.9 % apporoved kept our original pay stubs statements and registration we wasted our time completing signing the contract and had the audacity to ask for our down payment which we were going to give but they told us we weren't going to take the car home until the next day so we told them no we will give the down payment when we come for the car the following day & they told us to go pick up the car the next day at 1pm & I called the following day just to ask if ok to take my daughters to pick up the new car to my surprise the financial manager margarita say "oh they didn't call you to inform you that you weren't approved" so yes I did let her have it because you need to be straight forward with your customers and not waste their time so my husband and I called the dealer to speak to the sales guy to hear exactly what happened we had sign the contract my signature was out there! All I wanted was to hear the truth but what do they do act childish and ignore our calls saying Omar was working on getting the "approval" BS ! Supposedly he was going to call us back till this very moment we have not received a call back ! Like really we are adults act like it you're suppose to be a professional act like it !! If it didn't work out then OK fine we can handle it but don't be feeding us BS and then ignoring our call. BAIT & SWITCH STORY FOR YOU READERS Went to Downey Nissan on a Saturday, spoke with Mario, a salesman, informed him I was looking for a specific 2018 used vehicle. He informed me that they didn't have any used & so proceeded to show me new ones. The very next day, Sunday, I checked Truecar for the used vehicle I was looking for, and, lo and behold, Downey Nissan has the exact the vehicle I'm looking for, with in stock availability guaranteed. So proceeded back to Downey Nissan to purchase the used vehicle they have listed on Truecar. When I get to the dealership I was informed by Mario that the vehicle was just sold & they haven't had a chance to remove it from Truecar, but stated emphatically it would be removed the next day, Monday. 1 week later I checked Truecar and the same vehicle still shows being in stock at Downey Nissan. I don't think Downey Nissan will ever remove it. Very Very unhappy read more

My husband and I were in the market for a second car. We just purchased a 2017 Honda Accord. (purchased through GALPIN HONDA IN SAN FERNANDO). and needed a second car for my husband to commute for work. A cheap reliable car we thought Nissan would be a good place to start. WE WERE WRONG I WOULD LIKE TO SAY THEY WERE NOT STRAIGHT OUT RUDE. WE APPRECIATED THE TIME BUT THEY NEED TO CHANGE THEIR APPROACH. If you're not ready to buy and you are just shopping around please do not come here.They don't listen to you or your concerns. They put you under so much pressure to get you to sign. It's a bad sign when a company has to pull out a million gimmicks to get you to purchase. They make you feel as if they are doing you a huge favor when in reality it's a scam. I caught on TO THEIR GAME PRETTY FAST. they kept bringing more and more managers out to talk to us with different "DEALS" We were looking to lease they told us we would not qualify for a lease made us feel as if that was not even worth considering. The prices they listed were about $2000-$4000 more than what the MSRP. Then tried to tell us we would get a check cut for $2000. When I asked where that money was coming? IF POSSIBLY from the up charge on the price? Their response was basically "out of the kindness of their hearts". Come on? what kind of business would just hand FREE money out like that. I feel its a tactic they use to trick people into signing. Please LOOK at the NUMBERS and PRICING before you go in. I wanted to walk away right as soon as they started speaking. I kept saying NO we can't afford that monthly payment. My husband is a bit more trusting he wanted to give them a chance. We spent hours being told hold on we have a "better deal" but they would not tell us upfront "what you're asking for is not what we can offer you" they just kept trying to push us into signing. They just kept pushing and pushing almost forcing him to shake on it. They directed all of their long winded speeches at my husband and played on his emotions and our ethnic background to try in get his head. We were honestly considering what they noted was their best offer and asked for a day to think it over. Jason asked my husband to leave a check or our debit card to ensure we would return. My husband made the mistake of leaving $20. The next day when we returned we were honestly still willing to give them one last chance. They told us over the phone they had an amazing deal they were going to work out for us. We get there and they advised us we would be able to get a LEASE. The lease that was impossible to get the night before. They payment was still the issue too high of a payment for the quality of car. We said no and their last ditch effort was to bring in the Branch manager who was so overwhelming. He never directed any of his pitch at me. He kept repeating how Nissan is doing us a favor by offering us a high payment. He gave us a huge speech on why everyone is Leasing now No one wants to buy. Then at the end when we voiced our concerns on the lease terms he was like well at the end you buy when seconds before he was just saying leasing is the way to go. His shiftiness was so off putting and we said a Definitive NO. He basically made us feel like we were a waste of time Telling us how he's missing dinner with his daughter because of us. How the finance office spent hours on the phone with the banks but it sounded so disingenuous and tacky. At the end of the day that's their job. I understand how my husband and I may have been a waste of time for them but if they would have just been up front with us and told us what we wanted was not do able we would have walked away right away. By the end of the night we didn't get our $20 back WE hope they enjoyed Starbucks or whatever they used it for. If they had any real integrity they would have returned my husband's money even if it was only a $1 they showed their true colors. We ended up going to GALPIN HONDA that same night drove away in our 2017 CIVIC no money down with payments half as much as Nissan. read more

I feel some of these reviews are fake or do the just like certain people because I have had horrible experience since the beginning of purchasing my car here. First of all 1 week and a half passes of having this brand new car supper excited because my family and I have been working really hard to get a new car and tell me why my car starts having problems with electrical. I take it and all they do is check everything and give it back to me. Then about a month passes and it starts doing the same the screen of the radio starts glitching and the beeper doesn't work. I take it back and they "fix it by adding new parts" then 2 months passes by the car stops turning on then it turns on about an hour of waiting and it does that 3 times until I call them to bring a tow truck and there service was horrible had to wait in the sun for 3 hours till the tow truck got to me. At this point I am already filing a claim with lemon law because all Nissan factory was doing is giving me my deposit back if I keep the car. I am stuck with this car which has been giving me problems all this time, if I had known this was going to happen I should have just bought a second hand car. While all this is happening I am doing everything I have to do to maintain this car well and every time I go to Downey Nissan center the people that help me are so rude and sometimes rude to my mom because she doesn't speak English. Wow horrible, I just hope other Nissan center are not like this one, if you are thinking of getting a car from this manufacturer please go to another Nissan center and not the one in Downey they literally shove leasing a car down your throat which is a mistake my mom and I made. She started giving us her attitude when we would ask her questions, of course we will have many questions regarding the car we are about to purchase its a big deal!!!! I purchased a 2014 Nissan Murano Pre-Owned Certified car 33 days ago. It has 20,000 miles on it, and now it needs new struts that will cost me approximately $1,000 to repair because the "extended warranty" doesn't cover it. The bumper to bumper warranty that WOULD HAVE covered it expired 20 days before my purchase date. The dealership is stating that at the time of certification the struts were "fine" and "passed" their safety standards, meaning that somehow this was my fault/responsibility.
