So sad to be writing this review. Went to this office because I knew it was clean I did my internship here back in 2008 when I went to school to become a dental assistant so I was happy my families insurance covered here. Be advised before going anywhere especially here: -Do your homework, know, and have a copy in hand of what your insurance covers. Otherwise they will tell you that you need to pay a 40$ fee for intra oral pictures (they stick a camera in your mouth to snap photos of your teeth) and that your insurance doesn't cover. THEY TRIED TO FORCE MY HUSBAND TO PAY FOR IT AND THE DOCTOR WAS PRETTY UPSET WHEN HE REFUSED. The doctor advised for my husband to go elsewhere if he didn't pay the fee for the pictures. -Recently I took my child here for a filling. *which was covered completely by my insurance. And they charged me 50$. My husband went back and they issued him a check for their careless mistake all because the fee chart they would reference to was EIGHT YEARS OLD. -I don't know why even after knowing I wasn't comfortable paying the picture fee they charged it again when I took my son for an exam. So paid it again (by law they need to give you the option to pay these extra things) but they don't. The doctor checked my child's teeth and then said that he had plaque build up on the bottom teeth that he could take care of it in that same visit. Another 50$ which again IS covered by my insurance. But I paid because the manager insisted that it wasn't covered. -My husband has filed a claim with our insurance because of all these extra fees (130$). I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE!! They will rip you off if you don't know what your insurance covers. And they have no shame in doing so. Maybe his work might be good but with the way we were treated I wouldn't go here ever again. read more

I love Dr. Stucken! He is very thorough. It may seem that the services offered are unnecessary but they are preventive measure. Most people lack of understanding and dismiss the preventive care as unnecessary. The Dr. takes the step to assess risk of periodontal diseases and helps patients with achieving and maintain proper oral health. I am one person who isn't looking forward to dentures in my old age! The office is very nice and clean. The staff are very friendly and welcoming. They are on schedule as well! Which I like a lot! You can tell the staff and dentist have been working together for some time. Made me feel comfortable. Dr. Stucken is very thorough and honest. I like that he tells you what is necessary and needs to be taken care ASAP. And gives you the option and the knowledge of preventive maintenance. After making 4 appointments for my family and I, I was shocked when I was told that even though I have no co pay, each first visit would cost $30. They never disclosed this information until I arrived for my appt. This place really nickel and dimes you! Not only was there the first time visit fee, they also mentioned x-rays and other work costing money. I canceled all the appointments but not after taking time off work and completely wasting my time. I called my insurance company and they assured me that was not the way things work and they should not be charging like that. If you're looking for a dentist that sees nothing but $$$ when they see your face, then this is the place for you. If you're looking for a dentist that is fair, honest, and upfront then find a different provider. read more

Seems like a really friendly guy but he's only there to make money. I had to sit through a commercial of them trying to sell mouthwash before he'd see me even after I told them I was not interested. Then tried to sell me on whitening for a few minutes after that. The thing that really pisses me off is that he was unwilling to fill a cavity unless I got a deep cleaning and replaced my old fillings which aren't even old. I told them I could not afford a deep cleaning and the fact they'd rather let my cavity go untreated because I don't want to pay the hundreds of dollars to do additional work really shows the type of mindset this office has. He obviously does not care about patients and just wants to make all the money he can off them. *EDIT* I visited another dentist shortly after this review who told me I in no way needed a deep cleaning. During the gum exam Dr. Stucken was reading off 5's & 6's and at the dentist I am currently at he did not find one area of my gums that were a 5 or 6. What a crook Stucken is. I love Dr. Stucken. I have been seeing him for years. At one point, because of insurance issues, I went to a few other dentists. I will never go to another dentist again. I will pay cash before I do. Dr. Stucken is very gentle and caring. His office staff is professional. The office is clean. When you have an appointment, you are in and out. There is no unnecessary waiting. It is true that the office will try to upsell the latest electric toothbrush, mouthwash, or cosmetic dental upgrade. It's a business, and they make a profit that way. However, I have not had them suggest a procedure that wasn't in my best interest. If something was out of my budget, then they have worked with me when necessary. read more

I recently returned from an overseas assignment with my family and was looking for a dentist that was good and available asap. After being fit in for various dental appointments on such a short notice on my part, I am very pleased with the dental care I was provided with by Dr.S. He targeted my concerns and explained preventative care for other teeth. He was generous and took care of some issues at no additional cost; making me feel like a patient he cared for rather than an insurance claim. Also, I enjoyed being shown the before and after X-rays/pictures because it made me gain trust and confidence in his work ethic. I do not recommend this dental office. I went to dr. Stucken a few years back and I advise not to consider him as your dentist. Every person I recommended (myself included) dr. Stucken always recommends a root canal at 500 bucks (plus your ins) . On one of my visits I questioned him (respectfully) about my exam he felt insulted and walked out, then his office manger walked in and ask that I leave. I was shocked as I felt I did nothing wrong, i was a dental assistant in my previous years. I feel he only wants the money and does not diagnose the dental issues correctly. Dr. Stucken is the best dentist I've seen in years. His office is conveniently located and very clean. I've never been kept waiting for an appointment and the staff is so awesome and friendly. I started going to Dr. Stucken when I had really minimal dental coverage and one of the things that I really liked was that they wouldn't perform any service that wasn't a covered benefit without first talking to me about it and telling me exactly how much it would cost out of pocket. Be careful. They try to sell you products/services you don't need. $30 for a breath cleaning kit that you can buy elsewhere for $15. $20 cancellation fee. They wanted to do a deep cleaning($100) and irrigation($400) on this appointment. I told them I only wanted the cleaning, and suddenly they want me to come back another time. I tell them "fine I will do both" They then tell me sorry you will need to reschedule. They are very money hungry and will do anything to get it from you. Don't trust this dentist. read more

Absolutely awful!!!! I had a terrible experience here. I was having tooth sensitivity and when Dr. Stucken gave me my options they seemed high on the price scale. I consulted another dentist who would have done it cheaper and had a different idea. When I came back for my cleaning I explained to dr stucken that I had another consult and decided not to go with what he suggested. He was livid that I had done that and told me I shouldn't go to his office anymore if I didn't want to do what he said. I was so taken aback. I left the office in shock that I was treated so poorly. Another occasion l needed my son to be seen. I should have known not to come back. The office staff refused to let me accompany my small child back. When I explained that while i respected their policy, it would be best for my son, his level of comfort and general cooperation for me to go with him. Their response was to go find another office bc they would NEVER allow a parent to accompany their child. This is outrageous. Thus office clearly does not want to keep their customers and could care less about bedside manner or customer service. Shame on them. read more
