Tostones

Wow I can't believe I've never been here. I don't live far either. I came across it online. Saw the menu and was blown away. Asian and Latin mix? What a beautiful combo. My husband is half Puerto Rican and when we saw Puerto Rican dishes on the menu we knew it was a must try. Threw me off that it was inside of a gas station but it's definitely a hidden gem. Everything was so tasty and the portions are hefty. We bought 2 orders of tostones thinking one wouldn't be enough but one order is definitely enough they are Huge. I make mine crispier but they were still good. The chicken and teriyaki with fried rice was so fulfilling. Again bigger than expected. The plantains were delightful and those Latin wontons...amazing. This place was a hit with the family. Will be a returning customer :)

Birria Eggrolls (3) to order

This is my first time trying this place! I got the new birria egg rolls, I was surprised when I first saw how big they were. You can choose from 1 to 3 egg rolls I of course went with 3. Anyways, the consome was packed with flavor, the meat could use a little bit more seasoning but other than that these are a hit!! I got full off of 2. I say try these out you won't regret it :))

Amazing food, great customer service. The food is delicious and good price! It is a good fusion of Puerto Rican and Chinese.

Disgusting food horrible sauces. Thousand Island dressing for an egg roll? Come on. Hispanic chefs serving oriental is a no go for me.

The service was great we were seated immediately, checked on several times, and the food came out quickly. Everyone was also friendly and welcoming. We tried the egg rolls, crab rangoon dip, cornbread, Spam fried rice, and honey walnut shrimp. Every dish was a 10/10 with great flavor and something unique to offer. The crab rangoon dip and cornbread stood out the most among the appetizers. The dip was an absolute hit and is something I'd definitely recommend. The cornbread had a subtle sweetness that paired well with its flavor. I also liked how it had a waffle shape to it, very different. I was a bit skeptical about the honey walnut shrimp at first because it looked pretty simple, but it ended up being delicious. The Spam fried rice was also nice, the pineapple paired great in it. Everything felt shareable its great spot to order several dishes for the table. If you check out this place, I'd recommend going with a group. The vibe was laid back, and the decor really tied everything together, making it feel like a fun hangout spot with a lot of personality.

It's funky to find, because the entrance is in an alley. We were a party of 17, with many separate checks. Cat did an amazing job at keeping up with everyone's orders and drink replenishments! They have a little happy hour menu with a couple drinks and food items. We got the $1 egg rolls and they were basic egg rolls. I got ginger noodles and added chicken and I wasn't crazy about them...they were ok. Someone got the spam fried rice and I tried that and it was fantastic. Many of their plates are shareable. Parking was a pain, so I may not go back. But it's worth the experience.

I really wish I was a better writer to give this place the review that it deserves. At the highest…read morelevel possible- my family celebrates every major milestone here. Anniversaries. Birthdays. Promotions. It all happens under the Best Quality Daughter roof. Wether we are fighting for the last bit of the Brussels Sprouts, or ordering two orders of cashew chicken to make sure we have more to eat during the week, BQD is a beautiful environment where many great memories were housed, and I'm always looking for the next excuse to come! Btw- the Butterfly Pea Flower Lemonade is to die for

We ordered 2 cocktails, a lemonade and a mocktail - that took 15 minutes longer than everyone else so the toast to the grad who ordered it was delayed as appetizers came out before her drink Timing was also way off - we were asked what appetizers we wanted shortly after being seated and when we did order and told them we would start with the smaller bites and order the mains for later - everything came out at the same time except for one dish that was way later than everything else So before food let's talk service - it was a special graduation meal and though the food was good - the service is enough to make me not want to go back. The server was just socially awkward, was not able to converse and seemed to struggle with every aspect of the role! We spent over 20 minutes trying to flag her - then anyone down- just to order a soda as the mocktail was not good! We wanted second drinks but as there was no service to be found - we gave up. Dishes were dumped on the table by whoever brought them as we then sat with dirty / empty dishes throughout the meal except for the one or two we gave back and the one with food in it that was taken! Things got weird when we asked to bag up two dishes when the server seemed to really get confused and had to take time for her process and ignored the dessert order - then came to the table and asked if we wanted dessert!?!! She was very pleasant but the role of a server might not be best for her! Now the food however was a solid 5 - the chili crisp crab burrata was one of the best dishes I have had anywhere ! The garlic sticky noodles were also fantastic , loved the smashed cucumber, the impossible pot stickers were not as good as in the past as they were cold and chewy - almost as though they had been made days ahead and were stale! The mapo tofu was great and we have plenty left over and my husband and daughter enjoyed the cashew chicken! We love the quaint setting, great playlist and fantastic food but service throughout from the server to the folks expediting dishes was substandard ! For this reason would hesitate returning in a hurry!

They had happy hour all day. Happy hour included wine, sake and appetizers. I thought it was such a great deal. We all loved our creamy miso soup. I would go back just for that. When it came to a table, we all looked at it and were iffy about it, but as soon as we tasted it, we all agreed that it is the best we have had. I will admit I don't remember all of names of the dishes, but the ones I remembered we got were the Hotline crispy gyoza, Pepper fin Miso vongole pasta and Kaisendon. We shared a key lime pie. The Keylime pie slices are little small, but after all our food, we were all full . We did all agree that the Keylime pie was missing the tartness we expect from Key lime. We were celebrating my birthday and they gave me a free glass of champagne. I wasn't expecting that, but it was a nice touch. They do have a record player with records available for you to choose from that they can play for you. The restaurant is located below Silos next to Orangetheory. If you don't know where it is at, it will take you a while to find it. It doesn't have a good sign. Parking is available, but shared with the other businesses. We had no issue finding parking

Yozora might be one of the most intimate and thoughtfully curated dining experiences in San…read moreAntonio. The entire space feels cozy with indoor & outdoor seating. The listening bar concept paired with their state-of-the-art custom sound system makes the atmosphere feel immersive from the second you walk in. The music, lighting, and outstanding service all work together perfectly when you're trying to unwind and decompress after a long week. The lychee martini was smooth, refreshing, and extremely lychee forward. I really enjoyed how they garnished the drink with two whole lychees. I was in heaven and I can honestly say this was one of my favorite cocktails I've had in the city (Thanks for the recommendation Annabelle). Food-wise, everything felt elevated and pieced together beautifully on each plate. The truffle creamy miso soup was warm & comforting with just the right amount of depth and the Asian pear cucumber salad was perfect to cleanse the palate after the soup. The Hawaiian ono was another standout that absolutely delivered. That cilantro oil and the yuzu dance together well with the soft & silky ono. I also really enjoyed the scallop crudo, it also has cilantro oil but this time with ponzu foam. This combination was so good that I absolutely had no shame sipping the married liquid components on the plate between each bite of scallop. Lastly, the wagyu mochi gnocchi is unreal--rich, melt in your mouth mochi gnocchi, savory shrimp and tender wagyu, and this velvety sauce that's semi addicting. This surf-and-turf style dish with seafood and wagyu is where Yozora really flexes; every bite felt balanced, indulgent, and beautifully plated. (This particular evening the sauce on the mochi gnocchi was a touch spicier for me than the first time I visited but I enjoyed every last bite nonetheless). I went a little ham and didn't have room for dessert this time unfortunately. Next time Huge shoutout to my server Annabelle, who made the entire night seamless. My water never even got close to empty, her recommendations were spot on, and she somehow balanced taking care of the bar while still making her tables feel attended to. The rest of the staff even tag teamed service throughout the dining room which I always enjoy seeing. It says a lot about how well the staff and overall concept works together there. Symphony for the soul. Thank you again Annabelle and team for making the whole evening easy to enjoy and adding so much to the experience. Yozora absolutely lives up to the hype. Add it to your list of spots to keep coming back for.

Ming's at La Cantera... WOW…read more We ordered the smoked pork belly buns, teriyaki crispy chicken, and lemon crispy chicken, and I have to say, we were incredibly impressed. Let's start with the chicken... because THIS is where they got it right. No heavy, overpowering sauces drowning everything. You could actually taste the chicken, the quality, the seasoning, the texture. The crunch? Absolutely on point. The lemon chicken was light, fresh, and perfectly balanced, not overly sweet or artificial like you sometimes get. Same with the teriyaki, flavorful without being too much. And the sides? Don't skip them. The steamed rice was perfectly done, the broccoli tasted fresh (not soggy ), and that coleslaw... HELLO. So good. And those smoked pork belly buns? Soft, flavorful, melt-in-your-mouth goodness. Overall: Clean flavors, great texture, and everything felt intentional, not overdone. Definitely coming back.
