I was back on the island, and I remembered how good this place was. Once again, they prove. That some of the best food can come from little hole in the walls. Not fancy "foo foo" food, but simple, good food. This time, I decided to go for the dim sum, and the house special mei fun, which was vermicelli noodles with chicken, beef, shrimp, and veggies. I make the short five minute drive to pick it up, and once again the bag is heavy! The people there were just as nice as they were last time. I bring it back to my room, and crack it open. The first thing that I noticed, was that the four huge dim sum, looked like they were way overdone. They absolutely were not. They were tender in the middle, and the sauce on the outside was both rich and savory, but not overly so. It came with some sweet-and-sour sauce, so I put that over the top of the dim sum, and it just added an extra dimension of flavor to it. The noodles were also a huge portion! The noodles were tender, as were all of the proteins, and there was a generous portion. The veggies were also done just right. Not over and not under. I put just a little bit of the soy sauce on it, and once again, it just added an extra dimension to the flavor. I only finished two of the dim sum, and maybe 1/3 of the noodles. For basically $23 and change out the door, after food, tax and tip, I'm easily going to get three meals out of this. I mentioned the place to the front desk, clerk at my hotel, and she says, yeah, her coworker orders from here all the time I can see why Simple excellent food done right, with decent prices and very decent portions. Cheap? Yes. Good? Definetly NO! -- Unless you want to get what you paid for stick to this place. Ordered the Orange Chicken w. Pork fried rice and it was NOT good. The chicken was old and seems to have been recooked 3 times before me. The chicken was not good, it was hard to chew and basically dry. Straight to the trash. Not even animals would probably eat it as its unedible. Lesson learned here. Do not order if its cheap because you will get what you paid for. Quite disappointed with the quality control and customer service from them. Placed a delivery order for chicken fried rice, chicken lo mein, and pork fried rice. 30 mins later the order was delivered with only 2 orders of pork fried rice. What happened to the chicken lo-mein? Was ordering it for my grandmother who is traveling with me, to then be left scrambling to find an alternative for her. I called the restaurant to ask if they whip something up, only to be yelled at to go bring it up to the delivery service. Talk about friendly service. I was left disappointed. And when I did try to eat what was delivered, it was flavorless and lukewarm. So take your chances if you try them. read more

My family and I used to order from here at least once a week since it was cheap and close to us. Don't know what happened recently (maybe a new chef?) But the food has gone so downhill. Had a shrimp in garlic sauce and the shrimp tasted old and was over cooked. The rest of my family did not like what the got either. This is your typical, cheap-but-not-that-good hole-in-the-wall Chinese place. I mean, when it's a $5.50 lunch special (available daily), there's not that much you can justifiably complain about. You'll get your food, it'll be a heaping portion, you'll eat till you're not hungry anymore, but you won't feel compelled to finish your dish. Nothing is really top-quality, but it's filling. The small dining area is decorated with bathroom tiles, and it's likely to have a young Chinese person doing their homework in it. Most people get delivery/takeout. This review is solely for the Sesame Chicken! Ever since I began coming to this restaurant, I will always remember the first day I tasted the sesame chicken. It was part of a lunch special that came with fried rice and an egg roll for a fixed price. It's just one of those dishes that will never change with time, no matter who cooks it! Shrimp Lo mein tasted so plain. The worst I ever had. Hot sauce tasted like water and chili sauce.

im seriously pissed. i ordered shrimp lo mein and chicken wings and was charged extra for it. as soon as it was delivered i checked it to make sure the order was right. it wasnt, it was pork fried rice and chiken wings. so i call back to ask why they got my order wrong and the lady flat out tells me im lying, they never even made an order of rice and chiken and that instead of bringing me what i ordered i should send back my already paid for food and wait another 40 minutes to return. so yall can spit in my fuckin food? i dont think so. so disrespectful and unprofessional. will never be ordering from this establishment again. and neither should you. read more

Very disappointing! Ordered sweet and sour chicken, no vegetables included, below average quality. Pupu platter was awful, everything including the egg roll tasted fishy. Crab meat Rangoon wasn't good either. Probably worst Chinese delivery I have had in years. read more

my roommates & I would order from them from time to time, & they'd deliver fast here in our place in Stapleton. or it happens that one of roommates would like to treat everyone in our house, so we'd order from them. typical-tasting chinese food, freshly cooked, that we've tried include lo mein, fried chicken, beef spareribs, spring rolls, egg rolls, broccoli, other mixed vegetable and fried rice. i ought to venture to their place one of these days just to see how the place actually looks. read more
