My mother and I ate at Dragon Palace a few months and it was so very good. BUT... we just ate there again 07/06/25 at 3:30 and we will never return. It taste like leftover food "warmed" in an oven. Meals were not even close to being hot or crispy. No soup before the meal like on our last visit. Mom's Mia Thai was good but my water was not refilled. Didn't see the wait person asking how food was or if we needed anything until the bill was coming. I think there must have been a lot of MSG added because my lips are numb and we both are extremely tired.... and thirsty. Fried rice served in combos is pretty much rice fried in oil and soy sauce - not even close to pork fried rice - found a fragment of egg, no pork, no veggies. My wife and I had lunch. We had never been in and we were both pleasantly surprised. We were seated right away in a comfy booth. Our server was very friendly and prompt. They have a huge menu and we opted for two combinations. Be prepared - it was a mountain of food! Each dish has four items and it's easily two meals. All in all, a great lunch. read more

I'm not sure why the reviews are low, however I enjoyed the food I ordered a dinner plate and it had 3 different meats every meat had its own flavor and that's what you want and the rice was very good. The food was not drenched in oil making it very enjoyable and flavorful meal!!!! Place was very busy, sat in the bar area nice and quiet bar tender was on it great customer service!!!! i went to dragon palace in gresham on november 17th 2025 ,, i orderd pork fryed rice and orange chicken ,, and it had vegitalables and egg roll,, well the pork fryed rice had no taste and no egg in it and it was dry and even after adding soy sauce it had no taste and orange chicken was very dry harldly no sauce , and the egg roll only had a little onions in it and no meat , it was big but was not impressed with it,, the service was good kind took a while to get my food , and what i do not like at all if you have a party of 8 or more you are forced to leave a tip , i always leave a tip , i feel it was not like real chinesse food too me 17.50 price for the food little high priced,,, i payed 24 dollars including tip i will not come back read more

I've driven by this place so many times and not stopped because it looked a little touristy/fake. Like...the Chinese restaurants of the 1970s. But I stopped in because honestly, I wanted to see the interior since the exterior is shaped like a beautiful pagoda. when you walk in the restaurant you are greeted with a large golden dragon arch, and you walk across a little bridge with koi swimming in the pond below. You can buy food to feed the koi. I was asked if I wanted the regular menu or the sushi menu, and as I had never been here I asked for both. I was seated at the sushi train, yes, they have a sushi train. After reviewing both menus I opted for the spicy salted shrimp dish. while I was waiting for my food, I watched the sushi go by on the train and was impressed that the sushi looked to be high quality, and the sushi chef was actively making more. The sushi seemed to be priced appropriately too. My food arrived in an appropriate amount of time (not too quick which could mean it wasn't fresh, and not slow either)...and it smelled amazing. I lifted a shrimp with my chopsticks and you could hear it give the slightest crunch. I took a bite, and the shrimp tasted fresh, clean, and delightfully salty. It was served over a bed of julienned white onions, green onions, and jalapeño peppers. It was fantastic. It didn't shy away from spice, and was incredibly seasoned. I wish I had come here sooner. I haven't tried the more standard American Chinese dishes, but this dish was spot on delicious. I will be back. read more

I have been pouting about the lack of great Szechuan cuisine in the area since most of my old favorites are long gone until now. Horrible service. Went there tonight, no one came to wait on us. 15 mins later a couple came in and was waited in right away. Our waitress never came. When I stopped her she said "what do you want?" Really rude. Asked for the manager who came and did nothing. 30 mins and no service and the place was pretty empty. The waitress kept saluting me like North Korea. Did it 6 times, very offended. I'm so glad my mom talked me into going here! This place is awesome! They are very friendly and accommodating. I live that they have combination dinners. Living in Colorado for six years I did not have good Chinese food so I was so pleased with the selection, quality of food, and OMG, the amount of food! I ordered a combination dinner and swapped the sweet and sour chicken for general tso chicken, it had chow mien, fried shrimp, fried rice and bbq pork. All the food was cooked very well. I loved all of it. The atmosphere was inviting with fish tanks and coy ponds. It also has a sushi bar on a rotating belt. I don't eat sushi but it was cool looking. Dragon Palace looks really nice going in but the food and service just don't hold up. Portions of unappetizing food were BIG. Number one combo had flat tasting fried rice, flavorless chow mein, egg foo Yung that seemed overcooked with bland gravy and large thing that was supposed to be a spring roll but was the size of a burrito and stuffed with unrecognizable ingredients. Server never brought a second pot of tea and took forever to refill water glasses. I do not understand how this restaurant gets 3 1/2 stars. At least it was quiet enough to allow for table conversation. Not going back. read more

I've lived in east county for several decades and have driven past this restaurant multiple times without trying their menu. Until today. I purchased a lunch portion of Kung Pao chicken to take home with me. The chicken and fried rice portions are two or three times larger than other Chinese restaurants out here, the pork fried rice has fried egg with the pork and no soy sauce to darken it, the chicken pieces are large and plentiful, and the spring roll and bbq pork portions are larger than elsewhere. Their prices are in line with other restaurant prices and I'll definitely be visiting them again. Highly recommended. read more

Nostalgic Chinese American restaurant. My wife and I have been ordering takeout from here for a couple of years and finally decided to come inside and dine in. We were delighted by several generations of wonderful hosts and staff. Everything was very pleasant and family style. Many families with small children but not at all loud or ruckus. The food was pretty standard Chinese American with neon red sweet and sour sauce. All tasty. We will definitely be back to try their sushi menu. read more

The staff were really friendly, our waitress was really sweet! We both got soap, egg flower & sweet and sour, an appetizer plate (not pictured) it had bbq pork, 2 spring rolls, and fried shrimp, then for the main dish we got their special fried rice and 2 entrees. Their orange chicken was so good! All of their food tasted well rounded and seasoned well. Lots of fragrant smells/tastes. I highly suggest! The least expensive combination dinner went from 14.95 (which is expensive) to now 16.95. Seventeen dollars for a plate of rice, noodles and eggs with flour. Are you kidding me? Stopped in for lunch today craving a bowl of beef tomato curry noodles. The place is really a thing of beauty inside from the bar, to the dining room and even I big circular sushi bar with a full menu of options or you can eat sushi from the belt. Now back to my food, beef tomato is one of my favorite dishes and this place made it really really good, full of beef and noodles and a very rich curry, stronger then most places, it was delicious and enough for 2 meals.
