Heard a lot about this place so I was looking forward to a visit. Walked in and a band was set up to play in a tiny 300 sq ft room. As we worked our way up to the bar, I was met by the beer tender "Whatta want?" So we looked passed that and hoped for a good beer. Got the Queentipa Session IPA. Supposedly this is a West coast but it was dark and with a heavy alcohol taste. MaNot what described. Wasn't impressed. Headin off to the experts at Claremont Craft Ales. Wow don't want to burn the spot but it's a must if u want a nice cold great tasting beer no hussel no bussell just a very relaxed atmosphere to sit back enjoy a great beer away from the big crowds. Um, noooo. Sorry , but I can't recommend this place to anyone. Small space , seemed dirty and unwelcoming . Staff was not inviting, beer was less than marginal . The band playing took up too much room for the small space and wasn't really worth listening to . There's many breweries to compare this to, this is nowhere top of my list . read more

I got off work early and ended up going to Target. After Target I was all "I need a beer but where to go?" It's too early for Rok and No Name so I yelped and found Dragons Tale and it was open! This place is awesome. Susan, Nikki and Bailey (the dog) are super friendly and so welcoming. I started out with a flight which were all delicious. But my favorites were WIPA, Black Knight and the Pale Ale infused with kumquat (I think). I am so glad I found this place. It close by and I will definitely be coming back for some Black Knight. They don't have food so if you're hungry stop somewhere and bring it with you. read more

Beer is really good. Definitely flavors out of the norm. Expect a more relaxed environment.

New place and staff was really cool and friendly. Dog friendly place and we got to pet a few dogs also. They had nachos for customers, very clean inside and good parking. I just did a 6 taster for $11 and the beers still need some work but they are new so I would give them another chance next time. read more

Cozy, not dark like a cave but with some windows to the south, with other windows facing the east. Seven regular brews on tap so far with a promise of 2 more upcoming. I liked the Sagacious best, described as Meyer lemon and Sage Hefeweizen. Liked their Relentless Red and Wheat IPA as well. Cozy inside with a sofa and many tables and wall counters with stools. It also has a small beer serving area with stools and counter. Easy to get to between Arrow Hwy and Moreno avenue. read more

This place is fairly new, about a year and a half. It's a really small place and of course dragon themed. It's a little sloppy in the way things are organized but I'll let it slide due to the space. It seems like everyone here is a regular. The beer tender is super friendly and they offer free pretzels. As for the beer, the IPA's are a complete miss except for the black IPA. The chocolate milk stout and the salted caramel porter are on point. This place definitely has potential. I will be back. read more

The staff here is great and their beers are better. Their Salty Dragon porter tastes like a savory breakfast meal and their limited release Pale Ale needs to be on the permanent menu. One of the most interesting brewery for taste experiments. Out of 13 beers on tap, we deemed 2 undrinkable, yet everything else was good, very good, or very interesting. Jasmine green tea beer, black licorice or mango black tea are the taste buds surprise winners, especially once they were a bit warmer. read more

This is a great place with friendly staff and friendly people. Even though it's a brewery it is family friendly. On top of that their beer selection is unique and flavorful. I like dark beers and ales and Dragon Tale doesn't disappoint. The one thing that impressed me the most is I'm not a fan of IPA's but their Quintipa, Evil Knight IPA are so delicious. This is the only place out of the nearby breweries where I will drink IPA's. They have events weekly that are so amazing. It's literally like I walked into the show cheers where everyone knows your name. Come here 2 or 3 times and you'll have some great friends. read more

Never disappointed with the beers on tap here, every beer hits the description dead on. A huge fan of their tropically themed nikkal (dragonfruit pale ale) with a whopping 8.6% ABV that's dangerously smooth & their salty dragon (salted caramel porter) that's full bodied and rich. We went to checkout Dragon's Tale Brewery the second week it was open and we were happy we did! This is a great little brewery run by two lovely ladies, Sousan and master brewer, Nikki. The first thing we noticed about Dragon's Tale is that this brewery is not in an industrial park with roll up doors like the others. The is in the front of a small business park and looks like this building was once a CPA's office, small fabric store or even a small credit union. This gives Dragons Tale a bit of class right off the bat. But make no mistake about it, this is a brewery with absolutely great beer! We tried all eight beers they had to offer and were really impressed with them all. All had unique tastes but the Sagacious: the Meyer Lemon & Sage Hefeweizen, Sousans Saison with blackberry, black licorice & Hibiscus, Salty dragon the salted Caramel Porter and Scatheus' Strout a Chocolate Milk Stout with hits of toasted coconut and brewed with Bourbon Squares dark chocolate really stood out as delicious and unique. We love the Evil Knight IPA, a Black IPA with Mango and Black Tea Leaves. This is a classy brewery where the music does not over power the room and allows you to have a conversation without yelling at your friends. The furnishings are nice and there is a great Dragon chess set on a classy ornate table in the corner for those who play. If you love craft beer and want to try something really, really different and delicious I would recommend that you give The Dragon's Tale Brewery a try. read more

Simply a great little brewery with a relaxing atmosphere ..if your in montclair stop by and give them a try Dragons tale brewery has some tasty brews..I like the scaitheus stout which is a stout brewed with real dark chocolate and coconut. ..I really enjoy the Relentlessly red ale a really smooth beer .I also like The Nikkal which is a pale ale brewed with dragon fruit once again another enjoyable beer ...if you really want to give your taste buds a change try the Evil night I.P.A ..brewed with mango and black tea leaves that beer is very refreshing and if your brave go for the DRUK DIPA 10.7 percent ..Nikki and Susan are fun to hang out with too !!! read more

For a fairly new brewery, these guys knocked it out of the park! We tasted everything on the menu and nearly every one was a home run. Lots of tea influences in the beers, very unique flavors.
