We went over a few things with my thermostat, then a few other things with the breaker & filter. I could see Dave was really trying hard to help me get it running & not just trying to get money out of me. After we tried & tried again. Looks like the unit had something internal wrong. So Dave was kind enough to send out his best technician. So 2 hours later John the service technician arrived. John was very polite, Nice & I could see he was very smart when it came to diagosing the problem. John was very thorough. After a number of test, It was found that the main control board to my heater was faulty. Now look how honest John was. instead of selling me a new board, he went so far as to call the manufacturer to see if the board was still under warranty. Yes it was. So our plumbing went out, what you call a stoppage. We went through our Select Home Warranty…read morecompany. I originally called on Wednesday, February 19. I was not able to get a plumber, Active Plumbing and Rooter, until Monday, February 24. That's five days, where we didn't have a way to shower, a way to go to the bathroom, even our sink would push sewage water to overflow the toilet and sewage water would come up out of the floor drain of the shower somehow. I don't understand how that happens but it seems like it's all interconnected. We had to go to the restroom at the park down the street and sewage water got all over our floors in both restrooms. Five days is a long time to wait. On top of that, it was considered two separate claims, (stoppage and toilet leak) so we had to pay TWICE (the service fee) and our technician.Taylor told us that Select Home Warranty wouldn't cover the toilet leak so we actually had to pay for one of those jobs OUT OF POCKET! Edit: Oh wow, I just found out they lied to me too. They told me they are not open on the weekends and that's why I had to wait two extra days.
