Parmesan Cheese,Farm Fresh Field Green salad, 6oz. Renegade Sirloin with 8ct. Redrock Grilled Shrimp

Beautiful clean atmosphere great waiters and waitresses fantastic food. If I could, I'd eat there every day? They also have a lunch special. That's really good too dessert.Oh my gofantastic

    Wet utensils

So my husband said this is a bougie steak house. Unfortunately the food did not show. Right off the bat my utensils were wet and they were in a napkin. Then the menu was designed terrible, but mine had a sticky sauce or something. The bread wasn't as fancy I thought it would be. I had a tough time choosing. But I chose the Renegade sirloin which came with a side and a salad. I thought it was a regular salad. But my husband said his favourite salad and the waiter wrote it down. Macaroni and cheese was a "signature." Ridiculous. I was disappointed with the size of the steak. I don't know why but my steak didn't seem good. My husband's was unfortunately salty. The waiter barely checked on us. We had no refills. Lastly we were given the wrong check.

The calendar is on the web page. But why chase bad BBQ. This wood pellet (Traeger) grill smoked BBQ is dry. The smoke flavor is light to the point of being almost non-existent. The rub is okay, but when a brisket is this dry it's just not worth eating. The other meats are okay. The pork is probably the best thing, and it's just good not great. The ribs were okay too. The sides are about the only reason this has two stars instead of one. The mac and cheese is tasty and well made. The beans are good. Look, I don't write any reviews less than three stars and few less than four stars unless I have visited a place multiple times. Any place can have an off day, and I hate giving lower reviews to small businesses. But this is just NOT good BBQ. And, yes, I know a bit about BBQ, with deep roots in Texas, North Carolina, Georgia, and Italy. I've cooked many briskets. Many. With wood. Cooked many pork butts and ribs. Tons. And so has my family (I have two relatives in the Dallas area who cater BBQ). So, this is not an area where I have no experience. Oh, and don't snicker at Italy in the list. How did your whole goat cooked in a dirt pit turn out? How about that whole pig you cooked? Yeah. Thought so. Sorry, Lloyd's. This is not great stuff. Dang. I wish it were.

I visited Lloyd's for the first time today at the farmer's market in Monroe. I had been looking…read moreforward to trying some of the tasty food I keep hearing about. I especially want to try the pork belly bites, but those are only on Fridays. I ordered the most popular dish, the gomer. I asked what the freshest meat was because the reviews varied. Many stated that there was a lot of dry meats, others report tender and perfect. My suggestion if you don't want to be disappointed is to ask what is the freshest for that moment in time. Pork was it today and it was delicious. I think next time I would rather get the meat plate as all the sides piled onto the pork was a bit over the top for me. I wanted to taste each item they have separately, but it was challenging being piled together. But that is what I get for picking the popular item and not what I think I would enjoy more. Gomer was $12. I see the cost has gone from $10, then $11 and now $12. I would not be willing to pay more than $12 but I understand the cost of food has gone up. Curious why the nacho is $16. If I understand correctly it is just the gomer with chips and cheese. I don't think that is worth $4 more. Maybe the quantity is more too??? Overall, I am happy with my first trip to Lloyd's and looking forward to pork belly bites in my future.

My wife and I rarely go out for dinner since Covid. Sad, but true. Anyway, last Friday I thought I'd break the mold, and I took my lovely wife up to Calhoun's for prime rib. Their smoked prime rib is top notch. Our visit was the exact opposite of our Xmas visit. We arrived at 5 to beat the crowd, and boy, did we ever. It was like we had the place to ourselves! Bottom line, our server was on the case, and our salads, assorted rolls, beers, and prime rib were textbook perfect. I've been eating at Chalhoun's since the 1980s, and with the exception of our Xmas dinner a few years ago, it's always been really good. That's why I decided to give it a shot last week. Top notch. Proving that just because you might have a bad experience somewhere once, it doesn't mean it's always going to suck. I'm glad I gave them another shot.. Calhoun's rocks. We'll be back!

Plain burger without the mayo, mustard and ketchup was not very tasty. Additionally it took about 10 minutes over the estimated completion time. Not sure the reason for the delay as the restaurant was by no means busy. I would not get take out from here again.

Let me be blunt, for the money this is a great deal. Service is good, not amazing, but good. The place is a bit loud, there are TVs all around. What isn't to like? My spouse could only say "disappointing" about his. He ordered Thunder Road Chicken Nachos and a Caesar Salad. The Thunder sauce only penetrated the first layer of chips, so he requested another mini-ramekin (an extra 50 cents). A layer of raw (not pickled) jalapeño slices, some with seeds, dotted the top of the dish and was too hot for his taste, even with a ramekin of sour cream to soften the heat. And the Caesar salad: Unfortunately the greens became rather limp (lacked crunchiness) when coated with an oil-and-vinegar-tasting dressing. Thankfully a generous sprinkling of fresh Parmesan cheese and ample croutons completed the salad and made it acceptable. Not yet no least was our attentive server, whose name sounds like rain, treated us well.

They were dried out and probably the worst tasting ribs I have ever had. I highly recommend not ordering them. The 1/2 pound sliced brisket was served in a cup. It was ok but not something I can't wait to try again. I wasn't gonna get dessert, but was intrigued by the "cherry cheese pie". I thought it was some homemade unique pie, but it actually was standard cheesecake with a cherry pie filling topping. The cheese part was smooth and creamy. It was OK but not unique as I had hoped.
