I was disappointed with my visit to LongHorn Steakhouse. We were seated quickly, the atmosphere was pleasant, and the service was good throughout the meal. The sides and other items we ordered were also enjoyable. Unfortunately, the ribeye was a major letdown. It was tougher than expected, lacked the characteristic ribeye cap, and tasted more like a sirloin than a ribeye. First off the service was abysmal. Our waitress was completely clueless and flighty the entire time. When she delivered our meals she stood at the table across from us with our food inspecting each plate bringing them really close to her face trying to figure out which plate was which instead of just setting them down on our table and explaining that she was unsure if the sides. Food was not good. The bread was super dense and cold even though we were waiting for it to come out of the oven. Salads were just a salad. Steaks were not good. The steak was properly cooked but I had a line of fat running through the center of my steak that I could not even cut through. In searing my steak I feel they burnt the seasoning in the exterior which gave it a bitter taste. I requested the seasoned fries as my side and they were not seasoned at all, I question if there was even a crystal of salt on them. On top of that they were cold and undercooked. I put them on my bread plate and told the waitress they were not edible. She just said "oh we're they cold, sorry about that" as if she already knew what was wrong. The steaks had way too much pepper like I felt like I was having an allergic reaction bad and the quality of the steak was not what it used to be, the asparagus had way too much pepper, the French onion soup which used to be my favorite was way too sweet, like teriyaki sauce was put in it, it was gross, and my shrimp tasted exactly like lays bbq potato chips it was insane and not in a good way. So my husband said this is a bougie steak house. Unfortunately the food did not show. Right off the bat my utensils were wet and they were in a napkin. Then the menu was designed terrible, but mine had a sticky sauce or something. The bread wasn't as fancy I thought it would be. I had a tough time choosing. But I chose the Renegade sirloin which came with a side and a salad. I thought it was a regular salad. But my husband said his favourite salad and the waiter wrote it down. Just ate at the Longhorn Steakhouse 10/7/23. I had coaxed my wife to eat here in lieu of another steakhouse. I had the Outlaw Ribeye 20oz, it was excellent. My wife ordered the 9 oz fillet, the larger one. It however in my opinion not a true fillet. It was a thin cut, less than an inch with a band of tissue indicating it was part of a fillet and the majority outside the fillet. We discussed with waiter and he gave some nonsense trying to justify the cut. We had side of mashed and asparagus which were both good. The Ribeye was only a buck more than the fillet so my suggestion to all is skip the fillet and get the ribeye. Drinks were good as well. But now I'll have a hard time getting my wife to go back. Lastly, they list suggested gratuity and they even say it's calculated after tax. Which is a no no! read more

We tried for three Saturdays in a row to eat at this place. Had a gift card to use and wanted to use it. Each week we got there a little earlier than the week before. On the third week we got there at 3:30 in the afternoon and it was mostly empty. You'd think the second week when we arrived at 4:10 it would not be packed, but it was and the parking lot was full with people waiting outside. At any rate our visit went well. Service was slooow... With hardly anyone in the restaurant we waited ten minutes for drinks to arrive from the time we ordered them. Other than that all went well, the food was hot and good. The steaks were cooked to the right temp. I am a bit confused about the distancing policy. All the booths were open and people were seated back to back. At this location they have added about a two foot board all around the top of the booth. Not sure if this will prevent an unseen virus from traveling to your neighbor or not. We normally don't go to this type of place, but had a gift certificate. We had a very good meal and no reason I would not return if I wanted a good and relatively inexpensive steak meal. We both had filets; wife added a lobster tail. We both chose "premium" sides and I had their special old-fashioned....saw a few decent beers on the menu, didn't look at wine offerings, so can't comment much there. I was surprised to see an old-fashioned as a signature drink and it was good. The steaks were fine; cooked to our desired specs (medium-rare and medium). They were good- tender, juicy etc. Sure, more money at higher-end places could yield even better steak but for the price these were just fine. The sides were all excellent. The salads served prior to the meal were huge. A lobster/shrimp chowder was decent-- maybe a bit too strong on corn chowder taste and weak on the actual seafoods--but still tasty. Service was fine; safety precautions seemed pretty good BUT (and sorry to come off this way, but it's true) this is another of those types of places that attracts a higher number of anti-maskers, and that was fairly obvious. No problem at all and would go again if I had a gift certificate. On my own dime, I'd pay the extra $$ to go to a really top-notch steak place. read more

They gave him some 1% milk - and before I gave it to him- I tasted it - it was fermented , it was very bad- not a bit bad - The manager acted like we wanted free meal or something- very cold - and offered to bring him some juice instead- I said orange juice would work- then my husband tasted the orange juice and it was bad also ! His steak was also looking not like it usually does - but we didn't say anything about that - We won't go there anytime soon- first they gave my son spoiled milk - could have caused a lot going on if I would've not tasted it first . Man where to start? I have returned from travels temporary and have frequented this location daily for nearly a week and let me just say...WOW! Service is not always the fastest but they restaurant is on point! Having tried the lamb chops, t-bone, ribeye, and the chop steak I can say all are superb choices. Furthermore, the pecan and strawberry salad is in a league of its own not even trailed by bonefish grills salmon and walnut salad bowl. If you are looking for a good quality alternative to the ever cheapening quality of Texas roadhouse food and service then this is a nobrainer! Worst experience here from start to finish. We were rushed to order our food as soon as we sat down, didn't even have our baby in her seat or menus open. (The waiter was barely present the entire time). The food came and was terrible, the steak looked only seared on one side and only tasted like salt.. they definitely use poor cuts of meat here. My kids ordered medium well steaks and one came overcooked and the other pretty much raw. To top it off... a hair in my salad. My poor husband felt so bad that none of us ate and asked what we wanted to go get after leaving and we were all just so disgusted we went home and ate there. $90 down the drain. Also want to note that we only saw the waiter 2x. When he took our rushed order and when he handed us the check. He was handing us the check before I could even tell him all of our food was messed up so I brought it up and he said "sorry" yet continued to take our money. Very poor quality food and poor quality service. The margaritas have no liquor in them either so be careful when ordering.. literally just strawberry juice. I will preface by saying it is the rare occasion that I eat at national chain restaurants; we have too many great local places here in Knoxville. I had been given a gift card to eat at Long Horn so why not. My first visit was while on vacation in Florida and it is here that I fell in love with the shaved prime rib sandwich! At the Turkey Creek location I have carried out more than I've eaten in and never had an issue. Service I have found ranges from good to excellent. As far as carry out it's simple to go pick up at the bar and the folks working behind the bar are the best! I order the same thing each time... the shaved prime rib sandwich. Holy smokes it's so good... piled high, lots of cheese and perfectly cooked onions and mushrooms. It is served with creamy horseradish on the side and one side item. You can also request au jus if you like more of a french dip. The sandwich is huge, certainly large enough to share but I keep mine and have the other half the next day and it's still delicious. Cheap eats for two meals at $12.99! A half sandwich is offered on the lunch menu for $3 or so less but I like having a second half for later. There are two parking spots designated for carry out and they're near the door which is nice. I only wish they had curbside pick up so I didn't have to get out at all but that's ok, I will always eat here unless they do away with this sandwich! Great job Long Horn at Turkey Creek! read more

I have ate here for several times already. I like to give a place more than one try before writing a review because sometime a certain item is a hit or miss. Longhorn steak house do have good seafood dishes. My number one choice would be the Redock Grilled Shrimp (buttered, canjun, garlic flavored). The salmon is another great selection you can count on. The steak here aren't the greatest even though it is called a "steak house." The sirloin steak is ok but other like NY strip or prime rib is meh. Lamb chop here is on point but Outback or Ruth Chris is way better. As far as the sandwiches or burger, I wouldn't recommend because there are way too many good restaurant in the Knoxville area that could be way better, such as Litton's, Five Guys, Stock & Barrel, and Fleming's.
