Located right on the Baraboo River this distillery makes some great spirits and distributes even tastier infused olive oils and vinegars. I came for the spirits and they were great, but the oils and vinegars are what I ended up purchasing for later. I am not a huge fan of coconut, but thr coconuy infused olive oil was great and so was the cherry balsamic. They pare perfectly with great breads, cheeses, and some charcuterie and your favorite beverages. Driftless Glen provides tastes of everything they sell and offeres a very informative tour. Grab a drink and enjoy yourself and definitely leave with something to share with friends and family. Very rustic decor, from the pumpkins outside to the wood floors & metal windmill fans indoors. Really beautiful bar is the focus of the room once last the Renee olive oil tasting area. Another dining room opens up off the back. Decided on the Weekend Vibes with cucumber vodka (the server's favorite) with muddles strawberries, basil & sour mix. It tasted like a trip to the beach, minus the smell of sunblock. My friend enjoyed the lemon drop martini, which was just the right mix of sweet & tart. Enjoyed the warm ciabatta bread basket with two olive oils to try (rosemary & balsamic). The chicken tortilla soup was perfect for a rainy day. Chicken quesadilla was crispy & flavorful. The walleye salad was just okay (for my taste) - I felt like the maple oil used did the dressing was a bit overpowering, but did love the fish (well cooked & no bones!) & heirloom tomatoes. read more

Nice view of water. The food is good and its a distillery with whiskey, bourbon, gin and vodka as well as olive oils. A little on the expensive side. You can have a small tour and tasting of the spirits. People are friendly and there is sanitizer available. I just went in for a couple olive oils this time alot of good different flavors to choose from read more

This place is AWESOME! It was a Sunday evening so it was pretty quiet. Never having been, we saddled up to the bar. The bartender (I think her name was Christine?) was incredible. She made small talk, asking where we were from, if we had been there before. We ordered some beautifully handcrafted drinks and then she told us she was "going to take us on a journey", and she did. She went through every one of the liquors they distill, telling us about each one, how it's made, with what ingredients, why it's different. etc. She poured each of us just enough to get a taste of each one. She then proceeded to make us small servings of some of their other signature cocktails, including the Oaken Margarita (made with gin, but don't be afraid, it's amazing!) and something made with their s'mores moonshine. Also, delicious. I hated gin before I came here and now realize that all gin is not created equally. Their creations were so amazing we ended up purchasing several bottles, a bottle of olive oil and a shirt. We did not eat, but the menu and the dishes going past us all looked delicious. While we enjoyed our experience at this restaurant, we weren't overly excited about the Bloody Mary. We are not huge fans of Jimmy Luv's mix, so that was a poor start. That, coupled with the $10 price point, left a bit to be desired. We did, however, enjoy the bacon and homemade pickle-that was a nice touch, plus the fact that they make their own vodka. If were to find ourselves back in Baraboo, we'd definitely return to this restaurant, but we'd probably try an alternative cocktail featuring another one of their great spirits. read more

We stopped there on our way back from skiing trip at Devil`s head and it was a great choice. Staff was friendly and the food was great, fresh and tasty. We had flatbread, chili soup (made with bourbon and it was phenomenal) and burgers right at medium temperature , exactly how we wanted them. We finished up with drinks which were well mad and strong. Old fashioned with bacon was excellent. In few word this is definitely the place you need to visit in Baraboo. read more

We came here after a hockey game in the area and were not disappointed. We went on a 30 minute tour which was very interesting and informative. It didn't hurt that it was followed by a tasting of 5 different gins, bourbons, whiskeys, or moonshines. We also had dinner here, and had a tough time deciding from a very interesting menu. There are steaks, fish, pork ragu, salads, and flatbreads, along with a bunch of amazing appetizers. Definitely a must see if anywhere near Baraboo!! read more

Went to this restaurant last night for my birthday with a girlfriend, I had been there many times before. This experience last night was the worst, the noise level was unbelievable. There were tables with families and kids screaming, then you had the bussers clearing the tables and slamming the glass dishes on top of the marble table tops. The tables were not socially distanced from one another. I was sitting across from my friend and we could not even carry-on a normal conversation. My food was good, but my Sprite from the bar was nothing but seltzer water, no flavor. I was so so disappointed last night, not sure I'll be back for a while. read more

We came back hoping to get a drink that was previously on the menu. However, this time, it was no longer on the menu. Our waiter, Onur R, not only went out of his way to get us the drink we came for. He packaged up everything we needed along with a hand written drink recipe card so we could make them at home. The food is absolutely amazing. Hands down best burger I have ever had! Came across this restaurant on a whim and were blown away by the wonderful cozy outdoor seating that's next to a stream + friendly service. Their food is super delicious, some of the best jambalaya I've had in a long time, definitely recommend. We also ordered their shrimp scampi, could go lighter on the lemon it was a tad sour. Great locally distilled liquor selection (we had two flights just to try things), and good craft beer too if that's your fancy. Food was excellent. We had the poutine (think meltingly soft beef with mushrooms, potatoes and some cheese curds for good measure with loads of juicy gravy), a salad (excellent) and maple walleye (also good as leftovers!). Overall a pleasant, quiet evening. Took home some navy strength gin for good measure. Cocktails were a bit sweet for my taste, but that's why the straight up sampler choices were good for whiskey and gin tasting. :-) read more

This is purely a review based upon food. We stopped here incredibly hungry on our way back to Madison and were happy to bypass the Dells by going to Driftless. The rolls with the aged balsamic vinegar that they start you out with are phenomenal, warm and soft with a balsamic that has a nice balance between acidity and sweetness. After that I was a bit disappointed, my flatbread was just okay and left a bit to be desired, my companion got the Walleye, which was over powered by the pecan butter to a point where you could not distinguish any other tastes; however the potatoes were excellent. After the great start with the rolls I was expecting to be blown away with the food; unfortunately I just wasn't this time around. All in all it's nice to see Baraboo with an establishment like this, and I will come back to try their distillery which might up my start rating in the future. read more

We all got burgers since it was lunch time and we didn't want a heavy pasta meal. Two kids cheeseburgers, a bourbon bbq burger and a steak burger with toppings we chose. They were all very good. Cooked well, fresh, good toppings. The bacon was delicious. The bbq sauce was awesome. The blackberry old fashioned was excellent, best old fashioned I've had in awhile. We had the dessert trio and the creme brûlée. It was all excellent including the peanut butter mousse. Yum! read more
