Cannot find anything positive to say about our experience or this establishment. Drove an hour across town to try based on advertising a kid, friendly place. So let's start there, I believe the only reason why they say they are kid friendly is because they offer lemonade. None of the foods or experience was tailored to be appropriate to children in anyway. Now let's go back over our entire experience. When we showed up, they were not busy at all and maybe had one or two tables occupied. We walked in and waited upfront, and another family walked in behind us. A individual walked up and walked straight past us to the family behind us to check them in and take them to their table. Looked around. There were three or four other girls standing there doing nothing but no one came over to check us in. We stood up front for about five minutes before anyone could be bothered to come over and check us in to see us. We had already pre-ordered the most expensive package and paid part of that upfront. So when we were seated, eventually, someone came and took our drink order and explained to us that we would have two hours, at one hour they would come over and let us know we had one hour, at 30 minutes they would come over and bring us our to go boxes and cups and anything else we may need before we exit. Even pre-ordering our food we were 50 minutes before being served the food. The tea was average, the food was not tasteful at all. None of the three of us enjoyed anything that was served and we tried the entire menu as far as food goes. We passed the one hour mark no one had been by to let us know we had an hour or check on us in anyway the entire first hour. we flagged our server down and let them know that we would like to go cups as we were finished. Sat there for 20 minutes and she never came back or brought cups. I got up found one of the other girls that had stopped by our table at the beginning and let her know we needed some to go cubs because we were finished. She had an attitude about being requested them Checked on several other tables before bringing us over 2 cups when we were a party of three. Ran off too quick for me to say that so I had to flag her down again and let her know we needed one more cup as well as our check please at this point we had maybe 15 minutes left on our two hour teatime and again, no one had actively been by to check on us in anyway, we were seeking out people. She brought the 3rd cup, dropped it off and again ran off before she could be asked anything else. Eventually, our server came by we let her know that we would need the check. She said OK left and checked on other tables eventually bringing us back our check. This establishment auto charges 20% gratuity, which is absolutely absurd when no one in the restaurant knows anything about serving adequate, checking on tables, giving people a good experience and has an attitude when you seek them out to try to get finished up so that you can leave. read more

New favorite "treat yourself" spot! 17 dollars for a full pot of delicious perfectly brewed unique tea and pastries and vip treatment. I Reccomend the Alice tea if you are looking for an instagram moment but my favorite is the Queen of Hearts. Bring a friend and both of you get your own pot of tea so you can try both! I have never wanted a recipe more than I do for their coconut cream that comes with the pastries. Love love love this place and the management. read more

Horrible experience, awful customer service! I made reservations for a special tea to honor my mom who will be starting chemo this week. I made the reservation online and paid the required $20 per person deposit. Today when we arrive for our reservation they inform me that they have unilaterally canceled my reservation and reset it to another day without ever informing me of the change much less asking if I could make it on another day! No one called or emailed me to advise me of the cancellation. They made no effort to make things right. And as of now I still haven't received a refund for the deposit. Simply taking responsibility and trying to make things right would have gone a long way in alleviating the disappointment of having such a meaningful gathering ruined. I planned this tea as a big surprise for my family for spring break. We live pretty far but we are vegan and it's special to find a vegan restaurant like this. The experience was really fun for all of us, we loved the setting, the kids had a great time and the staff was friendly. The only reason I can't give it perfect stars is because when I bit into a shepherds pie turnover I chomped down on something hard that cracked my tooth. I spit the bite out and dug through it to find a piece of broken glass. I don't blame a restaurant for having a mishap like this- it could happen anywhere. But I stopped eating because I was in pain and was scared to find anything else. I asked my kids to not eat that food item which was the main part of the meal. I showed the waitress and she took the piece of glass and went to show the chef. We felt no one would speak to us after that and they just dropped the check and wouldn't make eye contact with us. We weren't expecting anything, but just hoped an acknowledgment or an "Im sorry this happened" would have gone a long way. This place is adorable and a fun unique experience. We went for my best friends birthday and they made her a special cupcake in addition to all the yummy treats. We did the full tea and the food was awesome, I will say the bread on the sandwiches wasn't my favorite, I'm guessing because it's gluten free but the fillings made up for the bread, they were really delish (chickpea salad and "egg" salad) the cracker with cucumber and the pinwheel were soooo gooood. Omg. And the desserts were great. The lemon and coconut that came with the scones was also seriously out if this world, we were licking the ramekins, and they have oat milk for your tea, which is my fav so that's nice. I was very pleasantly surprised by Drink Me Tea Room! The food was amazing and I did not expect like anything that I was gonna eat there. All the food is vegan and I have never even wanted to try that type of food. After this, I may have to take another look at the vegan lifestyle. The tea was delicious; there are so many options. Plus they had tea infused mimosas! Yum! It was a little pricey so I wasn't thrilled about that; but again it was absolutely delicious!! I will definitely be going back. This place is an adorable hidden gem. Don't let the vegan menu deter you if you're apprehensive. The sandwiches were delightfully good, the desserts were amazing. My favorite was the marzipan checkerboard cake. The tea choices were fantastic,offerings from herbal to green and black blends very flavorful , the tipsy tea drinks were such a great addition to a traditional English tea offerings. I've been here quite a few times because that's just where our group keeps picking but I have to say that the pastries are super dry. Most of the pastries are kind of dry. Also whoever makes the cocktails not great nor are they flexible as a mixologist. We were full and didn't finish our tower of treats/pastries. Facilities were very clean and nicely decorated. I completely love the fact that this is a vegan establishment - it is wonderful to see a tearoom that fully supports and normalizes a vegetarian and vegan lifestyle - quite rare. I hope they are able to grow their business as more people learn about this place. I loved the thoughtfulness of everything down to the sustainable paper take-out containers. Nice place! Such a great concept. Quite pricey but was a great experience to try something new. Reservations are needed. Although it was empty when I went, they turned walk-ins away to ensure there was ample time in between tables and to make sure reserved tables are available. I also think they only prepare enough food for reserved tables to eliminate waste! I got to-go cups and poured it over ice the next day which was super refreshing. We saw our server maybe 3 times, never got the non-dairy milk we asked for, they seemed really stingy with tea. Really? One small pot (filled maybe 3 tea cups) to share with 4 people for a 2 hour reservation? Their sweets & savories were ok -not terrible but not amazing- and way overpriced for what you got. The cocktails were very weak, not very good, and took almost 30 minutes from order placed to order being at your table. We were charged automatic gratuity yet we saw our server 3 times and didn't get something we ordered? Oh, but the server was right there to push us out when our tea time was up. That was rude. Not well organized. They are reservation based, how can you not be organized? Again, neat concept but I won't be back. 2 stars because it's a neat concept. My daughter and I went a couple days ago and had a good experience overall. The food was good and the staff were kind. However, when you sign up online you get to pick your choices and they make it seem really clean cut. You pay $56/ person and you pay a deposit before you come in. We didn't buy anything extra besides two $10 bags of tea. So I'm thinking after my deposit of $40 I'm gonna be paying about $90-$100 + a tip. I ended up paying almost $200 by the end of it. They did add gratuity themselves of $25 which I thought was weird because there was only two of us and they came to the table 2-3 times for their speel and that was it. I don't know, $200 for an hour just seems like an incredible amount of money to me. I usually don't mind spending a lot for an immersive experience but aside from the decor, it wasn't anything special. I know that it's an experience but for that much I'd expect the staff to dress up or even a little more food. I'm not sure. Maybe a little takeaway trinket or something. Holy sugar overload batman! 6 of us went for tea today to celebrate my mom's 79th birthday. We all agreed that the food was very good but holy heck, SO MUCH SUGAR! Too much sugar. We all left completely unsatisfied, hungry for real food and feeling sick from so much sugar. Backing up...the location is nice, the room is fairly big but it is really noisy. We've gone to tea many other places before and it's usually a quieter, calmer experience. They had loudish music playing in the background and most of the tables were full so it was really noisy which made casual conversation with the rest of the table difficult. The really don't need the background music but if they're going to play it, it should be soft and quiet, an enhancement to the ambiance rather than something loud and noticeable. We had the full service $54 Wonderland Tea which included tea, scones, savory dishes and desserts. Our server was nice, described the teas, we all made a different selection which included a full pot for each of us so we were able to share and we all enjoyed all the different teas. Right off the bat they brought a vanilla scone, a sugar cookie and a rock fruit cookie along with whipped coconut cream and lemon curd. I'm not sure what the rock fruit cookie is but, it was delicious. Actually, everything was delicious. Then the bought the 3 teir platter with savory items and dessert items. There were WAY to many dessert items and not nearly enough savory items. After the cookies and scones with lemon curd and coconut cream, we were ready for some real food. But, we only got 1/4th of an "egg salad" sandwich, a tiny scoop of chickpea salad on a little roll and two tiny crackers, one with humus and one with a cucumber and 1/4th teaspoon of something on it. It tasted good. None of us were vegan or gluten free but we really enjoyed the savory food. But there was not nearly enough savory food. For $54 a piece, to not really even have any substantial savory food but mountains of sugar is totally unacceptable. Then came the desserts. My heavens, SO MANY DESSERTS! Almond cake, lime tart, chocolate espresso cake, meringues and macarons. I know I keep saying it but it was absolute sugar overload. None of us ate all the desserts. We took a bite or two and pushed it way. We all left hungry with sugar hangovers. There needs to be much less sugar and much more savory food. Then we got the bill and they way overcharged their tip. They add an automatic 20% which I think is extremely high for very basic service (they bring pots of tea, a plate of scones and the 3 tier tray and that's pretty much it). Tip should have been $62 but they charged us over $70. This is unacceptable. I am glad I caught it but it never should have happened in the first place. Overall, I'd say I was surprised at how good the vegan and gluten free items were but I don't think the experience was worth $54, especially when we all left feeling gross from all the sugar and still hungry for real food. We took our grandchildren to experience "high tea with a twist" at this unique and very fun tea room. The theme that day was Alice in Wonderland and we had such a great time that we went back for the Harry Potter tea experience a month later. The food was delicious and presented beautifully. I prefer the savory snacks, but the grandchildren devoured the sweet snacks.
