I had been to a number of different Vietnamese coffee shops before, so I was rather familiar with the flavor profile. As I was looking at the menu, there were too many options that sounded good. I was helped by I'm assuming the owner, and she recommended the flight. Unfortunately, I forgot which ones I had except for coconut taro ube and salted egg yolk. Normally, I'm not that big of a fan of coconut, let alone ube. I was pleasantly surprised that all 4 options were great. They also were not too sweet, which is a plus! I came here to try their epic and aesthetic coffee flight! Thankfully it was as delicious as it was beautiful. I came here on a sister date and we both loved it. The four flavors we tried were the matcha, ube, egg coffee, and salted egg coffee. The ube and salted egg were both of our favorites and they were gone QUICK haha. The matcha and egg coffee were both great too, but the ube and salted egg were standouts that I would definitely reorder in the future as a full size. Keep in mind that these are all pretty sweet and taste more like desserts (no complaints about that from me, but certainly something to keep in mind!). I saw many people there studying so I'm sure the wifi situation is ideal, and though I wish there were a bittt more seating, you can probably make it work if you just watch like a hawk. Drip Drip is a cute cafe in central district. If you're here for just coffee like I was, they have a wide assortment of unique flavors on their menu. I tried the matcha pandan coffee. The cream top was delicious, you could taste notes of both the matcha and pandan. The two flavor profiles balanced out really well with each other. When I first took a sip, I mainly just got foam so I grabbed a straw to drink with. With the straw, I didn't get as much cream and the coffee was a little too bitter. I love strong Vietnamese coffee as much as the next person, but this was a little too acidic. However, as I kept drinking and the foam mixed with the coffee more, It balanced out well. Overall, it was a very tasty and enjoyable drink. The ambience inside is super cute. There are a lot of nice decorations and lots of plants. It is a little small though and can get super packed and loud in there, so it isn't really an ideal place if you want to study or catch up with friends. Street parking is ample but it can get pretty crowded, so you may have to loop a few times before you find something. I would definitely come back for the matcha pandan or to try some of the other coffee flavors! read more

Cute place and the coffee was soooo good! Definitely more of a specialty coffee place serving Vietnamese coffee, so don't go in expecting it to be your typical coffee shop. This is a great way to try a few of the different flavours with out have to commit to a full cup. Honestly the Blossom and the Salted Egg Yolk Coffee surprised me and I'd probably order them again. I previously also had ordered the Roasted Sesame Coffee ($7) as well as the Coconut Ube Coffee ($7.25). Both were fantastic and a great pick me up when you need it. Still great as before, drink came out relatively fast and servers were very friendly and struck a conversation which was really nice. This time I got their egg coffee and it tasted great! Although I'm not too sure what's in their coffee to make my heart racing quite suddenly even after drinking just half the cup, and this hasn't happened to me when consuming coffee or caffeine elsewhere. Another aesethic place with Phin coffee! (Same owners as Coffeeholic, maybe.) I like that their foam is not too sweet, and the bold flavors really come out, much, much more than at other vietnamese coffee shops. For $16 you can have a flight of any four any lattes and some of the refreshers. I'm not big of a fan of their refreshers, which is just water with coconut pieces (more bland than coconut water), but it's great that they offer several non-dairy options. They also have a few pasteries. Plenty of bar seating and a few tables, though not the most comfortable place to work due to the height of the chairs and width of the bar tables. This place is mostly for hanging out with friends. The only reason why I wouldn't come back is because their machine (dishwasher?) runs nonstop for hours, which is headache-inducing and makes it very hard to talk inside. read more

Finally made it to Drip Drip's in person I had a chance to try their roasted sesame coffee at the Celebrate Little Saigon earlier this summer when a friend treated me. I can't handle caffeine late in the day so I went with the Ube Cloud and one of her homemade Pate So which is warm when they hive it to you. Wish I could've sat and enjoyed both but had to rush back to work definitely will be back to enjoy the welcoming space more. Service was friendly and quick! I finally got back to the office and enjoyed my pastry was still warm so delicious and flaky. I thought the cloud would be overly sweet but it was perfect. I missed the soft & grand openings at the new Drip Drip Coffeehouse located in Seattle's Central District, proximate to Swedish Providence and Seattle University. However, I was able to score nearby street parking, stopped by this corner indie cafe on 6/29/24. Ample seating (tables, counter, couch, outdoor), lots of focal interior decor, fresh flowers, and natural light. Kind of loud and lively when packed, decent overhead music, but with a manageable queue. Pet friendly too. I decided to try their coffee flight service while onsite. I appreciated that one could select the four flavors versus another Eastside spot that did not. I enjoyed the iced Vietnamese, matcha pandan, ube coconut, and salted egg yolk iced coffees for my flight. First time to try salted egg yolk and it was delicious, my favorite of the four selected. Surprising though on a Saturday late morning/midday that there were no baked goods or savories, totally empty pastry cases at the main counter. The cafe staff were friendly and efficient as the queue moved swiftly. Folks onsite were either on laptops, having lively conversations, admiring accompanying dogs of various sizes, savoring & photographing the interior and respective beverages. It was nice to be able to relax and not feel compelled to leave. I actually spent nearly 90 minutes onsite. Nice serene oasis. The greater Seattle area has a wide variety of Vietnamese style cafes and definitely Drip Drip Coffeehouse is a welcomed addition. read more

Only so many days in Seattle, so I'm glad they offered a flight so that we could try multiple flavors of their Vietnamese Coffee. We got (In order of most favorite to least favorite): Black Sesame: Nutty, nice flavor, good balance. Although I didn't get to sit down to enjoy it this time (due to a kid in tow), I decided to opt for their Salted Coffee and Coconut Coffee. The "salted" part unfortunately was bland, and runny and didn't quite add much to a basic tasting ca phe. Meanwhile the coconut version was way better, more flavorful and worth it. I do appreciate the fact they offer pastries, including a really good pork pate chaud; arguably the best, non-dry one I've had in a while. I absolutely love how this new viet coffee shop has coffee flights in order to try more flavors! I noticed most people there were ordering a flight so I think it's a very successful concept. Don't worry, it was a good amount of coffee for about two people and we didn't skyrocket to the moon on a caffeine buzz after since there's a decent amount of ice per glass. All flavors were a flavored cold foam on top of Vietnamese cafe sua da. For our flight we tried these flavors: Salted egg yolk- our favorite! Lightly salty adding a savory/sweet element to the viet coffee. Black sesame- good but the sesame flavor wasn't super pronounced. Matcha Pandan- also good, but Pandan flavor was lost here. Only tasted the matcha. Ube coconut- another top pick for us! Creamy and coconutty is a good way to describe this one. Overall they also weren't overly sweetened so I'd want to come back to try more of their other flavors! read more

We got the coffee flight! We tried Saigon Night, Blossom, Egg Brûlée, and salted Caramel and all were super yummy and definitely recommend! Only thing to note is that we had hoped to get some work done while there as others had said it was a good ambience to do it in! Given I love Vietnamese coffee, the bar was already set high, but Drip Drip Coffeehouse just pushed the bar even higher! This newly opened coffee shop in Seattle's central district has so much to offer, even for lactose intolerants like me. The owner felt that there was a huge market gap for quality, smooth coffee, and wanted to bring quality Vietnamese coffee to Seattle by working with roasters locally based in Vietnam! The cafe is spacious and vibrant, and open until 5:30PM which is so much later than a typical coffee shop (yay for non-alcoholic & sweet happy hours). As a baker with a massive dessert tooth, it's tough to find delicious & high-quality lactose free coffee options, so I usually end up going with the version including lactose (which I later regret), but I was SO happy to come across the dairy-free tiramisu latte! The coffee was smooth without any background nutty flavors that other nut milks usually have, and the dairy free foam was fluffy, making it hard to believe it was lactose free. I also enjoyed how this drink wasn't overwhelmingly strong in coffee flavor and had a dusting of cocoa powder to emulate the real tiramisu dessert. During my visit I also tried their coffee flight, which was such a fun way to try an assortment of their flavors in on shot. In order of preference I tried the egg brulee (so surprisingly yummy, with a custard-like cream on top), ube coconut (very vibrant and well balanced), matcha pandan (subtle matcha flavor which is ideal for someone like me who doesn't love matcha, wish there was more pandan flavor), coconut blossom (base is coconut water and very refreshing, perfect on a hot day but I still prefer the drinks w the house made Vietnamese coffee base). Lastly, I have to give a shoutout to the savory pastries I tried: the mushroom bun and chicken puff pastry. The mushroom bun was delicious and a great alternative for folks who don't eat red meat or are vegetarian given the classic bun usually contains pork. The flavor was sweet and reminiscent of Yakisoba. The chicken pastry was also very flavorful and flakey how puff pastry should be, but it was a little too oily for my taste. The filling was also more wet compared to the mushroom bun, so if you prefer a dry filling I would not recommend. There's free street parking... I came in a weekday morning and got arguably the last spot open at the time so definitely lucky. I feel like it could be hard and/or be a few minute walk. I'm giving this shop 4 stars because the food and drinks were definitely overpriced. The flight glasses are about a finger length tall and it was halfway filled with ice. I believe it was around $18-20 with tax so it was a bit much. However, the drinks were good. There has been a huge wave of Vietnamese Coffeeshops opening up all across the Seattle area, and I'm all for it! This time I got the chance to Drip Drip Coffeehouse yesterday, and I have many positive comments to share! I came around 5pm on a Tuesday, and was able to easily find available free street parking. Going inside, I was surprised to see it still filled with people despite them closing in half an hour. At first glance, some of their artwork and fonts reminded me of another Vietnamese coffeeshop, but their furniture and decorations were unique. Good vibes overall! Getting to the register, all the workers behind the counter warmly greeted me with smiles and were very helpful. I asked about what their most popular drinks are or if they had any recommendations, and I was given some great options! I ended up ordering the Roasted Sesame Coffee, shoutout to Tiffany for recommending and making the drink! The Roasted Sesame Coffee had a flavourful Vietnamese coffee taste that I was really looking for, something that was lacking at another Vietnamese coffeeshop I went to recently. The Black Sesame Creme was delicious, and had a strong nutty/earthy taste. Perfect! While Drip Drip Coffeehouse might not have the most unique line of drinks compared to all the other Vietnamese coffeeshops out here, they definitely focus on creating quality drinks. They do also have a coffee flight, which is the only place I've seen offer it, so I would love to try that next time. This is one of the newest spots for the popular Vietnamese foam coffee! I absolutely love these drinks and was so excited to give this spot a try. They have a lot of different items on the menu, as well as a good amount of seating inside. It was quite crowded when we came on a holiday, but were lucky to get a table to relax at for a few hours. I got the black sesame latte which is a vietnamese espresso based coffee with black sesame foam on top. A few other spots serve this, with my favorite being Coffeeholic. This drink was really good, though the foam was a bit saltier than I tend to like which threw me off a little. The coffee itself was strong, flavorful, and the espresso flavor shone nicely through. The main gripe is how expensive these drinks are. I paid a little over $9 after tax and tip which seemed a bit ridiculous for a single drink, especially when it isn't this much in other areas. Tis would be the main reason I wouldn't want to come back so often. Other than that, it's worth a try and a great tasting drink! read more

The signature Viet coffee was pretty strong. To me, it didn't have that usual sweetness to the drink. The ube and matcha coffees were good though. We also had their combo and pork bao. They were decent but I wouldn't get them again. The service was good. The server answered any questions we had. It took a bit of time for the drinks to be made. The prices of the drinks are good. The food does cost a decent amount, especially their banh mi. They cost $10 each which is kinda crazy. The ambiance of the place was iffy to me. I got the black sesame, salted egg yolk, ube coconut, and the matcha coffees to try and my friend got almost all the same but the egg yolk instead of the salted one. All of them were really good but very very sweet. The vietnamese coffee was nice and strong. The combination of the foams and coffee made the coffee really rich and filling. I only finished one and sipped the others. If you're getting a flight, I recommend getting one to share between 2-3 people. There's a decent amount of space but I went on a Sunday around 2pm.
