I like this place, I know it's probably not all authentic but I've never had anything that doesn't taste good. The curry puffs are a motherfucker, although they changed them into almost a Thai pot pie (not a goddamn thing wrong with that) and have sweet and sour sauce instead of chutney. The chicken satay skewers and lettuce wraps are good, the pho isn't as good as that other place that had pho in the name like you'd expect... But the other soups are delicious. The masaman curry is really nice too, it kind of feels like if your grandma gave you a hug but only more coconut. You can ask for the spice levels to be adjusted on whatever you want but they're generous anyway. They have this other dish where it has chilli sauce and stir fried basil leaves and BEEF... What the hell is that called? I can't remember but get that shit! All the food I had has a nice balance of the 5 flavors,. The Thai iced tea is probably the most balanced of all the places that serve it. Oh! if you get desert though... and you know you want some; go for the sticky rice with mango. They pour some kind of fuel on the fried ice cream and light it on fire and its fucking weird. You'd be better off roasting a marshmallow on your lighter. Oh and it looks nice too! I always feel like I don't deserve to use their cloth napkins. A couple times maybe the service hasn't been the best, I think they have new waiters? It's not that cheap but I mean you can tell they make an effort, and most of this stuff is lighter fair. Which is NICE if you're trying not to gorge yourself. Can't really comment on the sushi though, and sometimes you have to ask for shit like soy sauce or garnishes for your soup but I have love for this place maaaaaan. Ps. It's "the" place to be it seems in casper. They take reservations cause they are in such demand. It's a nice place the sushi is fresh and on par. The menu has alittle of everything. Chinese, pho, rolls, cocktails, etc. I tried the pop rocks roll. (Sushi roll with pop rocks.) it made a lot of noise while eating it. But didn't taste any different than other rolls. I'm a traditional sushi fan. Classic japanese style simple piece of fish+rice made right. All in all this place is a nice place to eat. But nothing special. They offer all the standard asian food options. But they don't really have anything I saw that was unique. But that being said... Your in the middle of wyoming and it's good raw fish can't complain too much. read more

We stopped here I our way through Casper. Having traveled through the city enough times to know that fast food and steakhouses are pretty much the norm, we sure are glad to have discovered this little gem. Food was good and fresh, familiar Asian fusion menu that is found in these parts, decor was pleasant and I found the bathrooms to be spotless and tastefully updated. Waitresses and bus staff kept the dining room cleaned up and were very attentive. We had to wait awhile to get our check at the end, that's my only complaint. Will be back again. read more

Very impressed with the quality and authenticity of the food here! The lettuce wraps were phenomenal and I had the Thai Silk salad which was also very good. I'm from California and didn't expect to find authentic thai/sushi that was this good in Wyoming. Would have rated 4 stars if not for the service. Staff was very friendly and I could see that they were working hard, but appear to be understaffed. The restaurant was maybe 25% full and it took 30 minutes to order an appetizer and receive it, then another 30 to get the entree. Not a bad experience, but luckily enough I wasn't in a real hurry. This is one of my favorite restaurants in Casper. I love the drunken noodle, hot fried rice, and the jalapeño rings. There are more thing I enjoy but these are the stand outs for me. We have been eating at Dsasumo for a number of years. We started celebrating there special occasions but over the years it became the place to go any given day. Our kids request it at any opportunity. The food is delicious. Our favorites are the sushi rolls (all of them), red curry, drunken noodles, orange chicken, and the soups. First off, there are no spring rolls. She said the veggie roll was a spring roll. After further questions she admitted it was a Vietnamese wrapper. That is not a thai spring roll wrapper. I ordered the beef fried rice. It was sorta close to what Thai fried rice should taste like, but not quite. The color was wrong-way too light-I have never seen Thai fried rice so pale looking. Ok, I lived in Thailand for a year and if a restaurant advertises Thai food, I expect Thai food. I have eaten at many Thai restaurants stateside and would give them 4 or 5 stars. A red flag went up when the sign said Thai, Asian fusion and sushi. The vast majority of the menu was sushi. The service was professional and friendly and the decor was nice. Surprisingly good Thai food is how I would describe Dasasumo. Being from Casper I would not expect such a place to exist as Casper is relatively isolated culturally speaking. The interior is spacious yet hip with various images from everyday life in Thailand., an open view of the sushi chief, and well designed bar. The defacto Thai dish that Dasasumo (and every other Thai restaurant serves) Pad Thai is some of the best I have had, as there are some places can make mistakes with the ubiquitous dish. On top of making Thai food, Dsasumo also serves Chinese and Japanese cuisine. The Chinese cuisine comes in the form of fried rice, while the Japanese cuisine manifests in the form of sushi which is overall quite good. If I remember correctly Dsasumo is moderately priced yet at the same time provides good service. read more

Was in from out of town for business - When I asked the hotel receptionist for her recommendation for a vegetarian restaurant and she replied "this isn't California. This is Wyoming - we hunt here", I wasn't feeling too optimistic. My colleague (a pescetarian) and I took to Yelp and decided to give Dsasumo a whirl - And boy we're we relieved we did! Several vegetarian options - Recommend the Kapow w/ tofu and the Drunken Noodles. Decor is pleasant, service is friendly and food is tasty - We ended up eating here 2 of the 3 nights we were in town. If you're a vegetarian and find yourself in Casper, don't panic - Dsasumo will impressively fit the bill. read more

It was very pricey for the quantity and the drinks were hideously expensive ($7 for a glass of house wine and $7 for a mixed drink not top shelf with one shot of liqueur). I think it is like the old saying though jack of all trades but master of none. I would love to see a real Thai or Japanese restaurant in town that didn't do use the word "fusion". Walked to this restaurant from our hotel because my cousins and I were in desperate need of sushi from after traveling. We walked in and the interior was very nice and modern looking considering that Casper is a small town. Our hostess was awkward though, she almost made us feel uncomfortable but she looked like she was in training. She didn't walk us to our table but rather told us to go to a table she set up in a awkward way. We were warned that the sushi bar is backed up and may take an hour for our food to come out. Plus we also came during the dinner rush. We didn't mind because we walked a couple of blocks to get here and we had no where else to go and we didn't know the area so we were pretty much stuck. We were very hungry but our waiter was nice enough to keep checking on us and keep saying sorry for the long wait. This place was very expensive and so I ended up getting the salmon avocado roll cuz it was in my budget. I ordered food yesterday March 2, 2020 and I asked for no wasabi or ginger in my to go order. While waiting for my to go order I watched my waitress take my food into the back from the sushi bar. The I witnessed her bring two spoons out and put the wasabi and ginger back onto the sushi bar. That is very bad cross contamination...... Then she brought my food up front. I challenged her for her honesty and asked her if there was no wasabi or ginger put into the containers..... She flat out lied to me and said NO. I left and checked the food when I got to my destination; luckily it wasn't that far away and there had been wasabi and ginger put into my food (there was some of the product in the containers).... I had to go back to the restaurant to get the order corrected!! So not worth the $5.00 tip let alone not worth going back ever again!! read more

The Pad Thai is excellent the noodles are not greasy but light and full of flavor the green curry is excellent. Mixed together it's an excellent dish!! I would come back anytime. Restaurant is very overpriced for food that is up to quality or price they try to act like it's worth. My waitress wasn't on top of it and had to be asked for drink refills. Sushi fell apart as I was eating it. All main courses were about $20 or more. Just wasn't worth the price at all. Overspent and will not return. Don't go there! Every time I have gone the service was terrible. Today we waited 20 minutes and then had to leave to get back to work and not ONE person took the time to even ask what we wanted to drink or anything. Not ONE person stopped at our table even though two wait staff and a manager walked by and looked right at us. The place was half empty at the time so there was no reason to ignore us. We left a note saying what happened and went to give it to a waitress and she saw us coming and just walked off! The time before that I got violently ill after eating there and we waited 15 minutes before being served, but it was a weekend and we had time to waste so we thought nothing of it at the time. For the high price of their food, you would expect better quality and better service. I will not be going there ever again. If you're looking for good Asian, I would recommend Lime Leaf, Shanghai Palace (buffet), South Seas, or Chopstix. Any of them would be much better than Dsasumo! read more
