I frequently come to Hershey, but when driving down Chocolate Avenue, I realized a new restaurant Duck Donuts had opened. I walked in and was greeted by the sight of a large line of over 10 people. However, around 5 minutes later I was able to place my order. All the donuts are vanilla and come with the option to customize it. I decided to customize a donut with powdered sugar and order their July 4th donut. Both came out within two minutes and were both fresh and hot. It only got better from there, though. After having a bite of both donuts I already got a nice taste of the delicious vanilla batter and the creamy icing. The staff here was also great! They explained the entire process to me and showed me their 4th of July donut options! Price-wise it was really not that expensive! I hope to come in soon! read more

Perfect and delicious donuts!! When we decided to stop here we said we were only going to get two donuts, one for each of us. Well you can see from the picture that that didn't happen. Lol! We knew we each wanted our own "Bacon in the Sun" donut and then after seeing the menu we also decided that we "needed" to try the Banana Fluffernutter and the Peanut Butter Paradise and maybe a glazed donut with bacon and might as well toss in another Bacon in the Sun, just to round it out to an even half dozen. The first time and last time I went to a Ducks Donuts was Easter weekend 2019. It wasn't the last time because I hated it. It was the last time because we live nowhere near a Ducks Donuts. These donuts were so fresh (you literally watch them make them for you), so light and fluffy (all cake donuts and I don't even like cake donuts all that much), perfectly sweet, and with the appropriate topping:frosting:donut ratio. Every part of my experience here was amazing. From the friendly, clean environment to the helpful and fun staff. Not only do I daydream about how delicious these were... I look up the nearest location whenever I go out of town with the hope we might be reunited once again. Needed coffee. Not great options in the area, but this, is some good coffee. Like sold donut shop coffee plus they have oat milk. I didn't even want a donut but I got a donut and it was hot, fresh and covered in chocolate. I could probably have eaten 17 of them but I only had one, long drive ahead. The worst thing about Duck Donuts is the fact that I don't have it more often. If I ate it as often as I wanted to I'd be enormous. So, I've resigned to only coming here when my girlfriend flies in from California every few months to visit. Am I more excited that she's here, or am I more excited that I get to go to Duck Donuts? I don't know, but don't tell her I said that. The thing with Duck is that you HAVE to eat it fresh. If you get them to go you're wasting your time. Terrible customer service. We've been to so many different duck donuts locations and never had a bad experience but this took the cake. We collect ducks from different locations to remember our trips and when I was at the register I asked to add a duck to our purchase. The cashier rang us up and as I was pulling out our payment the manager pulled the cashier away. She came back and rudely refused to sell us the duck insisting that one was only purchased as decoration. Here's a tip don't decorate with your product. We tried their powdered sugar, a peanut butter, and a Bacon something with Carmel! You can't beat a fresh hot sweet donut in my book! My choice was the peanut butter but I did try the other two! The Bacon Carmel did give you that salty savory sweet that people seem to crave and the powdered is just a mainstay of the donut industry! Overall a great way to satisfy the sweet tooth! Glad I don't live close by. I would be here every morning. Best doughnut I've ever had! Louise walked us through how to order. She's really friendly. They are made to order and you can watch them making the doughnuts. You pick the topping and drizzle. They are hot when you get them. I finally had a bacon maple. Wouldn't get it again but it was good. Just not to my taste. The lemon was really good too. My boyfriend got peanut butter glaze with chocolate drizzle and a maple glaze. I have been a customer and fan of this Duck Donuts location for a few years now, as well as worked here during my college years. The work environment was always super positive and welcoming, and that is not only due to the hardworking employees who always go above and beyond, but the previous owners being so appreciative of the work that their employees put in. The previous owners made sure that their employees felt valued, and put all of their time into the establishment. Disappointment does not even begin to describe how I felt witnessing what occurred at this store today. I stopped in to visit a good friend/previous coworker during her shift. Instead, I overheard the new owner verbally abuse and reiterate his newfound "leadership" to my friend and another employee. From an outside perspective, all I saw was a frail man's ego being damaged at the thought of his employees stepping up in areas that he, himself lacks. He then repeatedly told his employees to walk out. We can hope that this behavior and display of power is due to being in a new leadership role, but if it is not corrected this new ownership will cost this establishment the employee/community respect that it's previous owners worked so hard to gain. Love this place! I've been to 5 locations, and the quality of staff is always the same, upbeat, personable, patient quality of person. You can order in the app or in person. I like the app because I can take my time to personalize them. The donuts are hot and freshly made. I love lemon with raspberry drizzle. And the key lime icing with cream cheese drizzle. When I arrived in Hershey ,PA for a adult getaway weekend with the wife I saw that there was one in town. So i drug my wife there and I have to say that it is really awesome .
