I've been a fan of this brand for years and I just learned that they are local. The donuts are super fresh and made to order. When ordering it makes sense to order 6 or more for a better price point. Plus, you should sign up for their loyalty program for added benefits. Now back to how amazing these donuts are. They have tons of delicious options and you really can't go wrong. Came here randomly and didn't expect much, but it was actually really good. Donuts are made fresh so they're warm and soft, not sitting around all day. You can watch them make it which is kinda fun. I like that you can customize everything. Tried a few different ones and they were all solid. Sweet but not crazy sweet. Coffee was decent too, which I didn't expect from a donut spot. Prices are a bit higher than a normal donut shop, but for fresh-made donuts it feels fair. Would definitely come back if I'm nearby. read more

What makes Duck Donuts extra special is that they make each donut fresh right in front of you after you order - warm, soft, and just the right amount of sweetness. They had such fun and unique flavors too. I went with a few of the rotating ones and honestly wish I had just gone all in with a half-dozen or full dozen pack. My husband and I came here after we had a long layover at the airport. We got the boardwalk donut, a bacon egg and cheese breakfast sandwich, and a caramel macchiato. The donut was SO GOOD!! It was pretty much the only thing we really enjoyed from our order. They're definitely known for their donuts so I'd stick with that! The breakfast sandwich was mid at best. The bagel tasted a little stale and the egg and bacon felt like it was from McDonalds... respectfully. The coffee in the caramel macchiato tasted a little burnt as well. This was the second time I've been to Duck Donuts. Overall, I think it's a really cute place that's well decorated with creative donuts on their menu. The donuts take a little while to be ready, but it's to be expected since they prepare them as you order and come out really warm. They then serve the donut in a to go box where you'd have to eat it with a fork to prevent getting messy. Absolutely delicious as someone with a sweet tooth, just a little pricey! read more

Turn up the heat on the oil! I mean this as constructive criticism. I have heard good things about the shop, I hope this was just a bad day. Sunday 7-19-26 I went by and ordered two donuts. Watching them cook, the oil didn't sizzle when the batter was dropped in. The oil mixed with the frosting and they had a very doughy texture. I let them cool for about half an hour the texture was still soggy. FIRST TIME in my life I didn't finish a donut. read more

How did I not know about Duck Donuts!? It's a genius invention...a donut place where you can create your own donut. They have pictured donuts that are favorite creations, or you can tell the workers the toppings you want and they will make it. These donuts are made to order and warm upon arrival. I decided to get the Boardwalk and Sunset donuts - total yummy, gooey, deliciousness. I'm in total heaven, and the store smelled so good. I also love their decor - rubber duckies lined the entire restaurant...I love a good theme! You can buy the duckies and they even have one that goes toward charity! Visited Duck Donuts again and got their cookies and cream donut and strawberry glaze donuts both were made fresh and delicious. I also got the cookies and cream frappe which was also made fresh. Peyton is superb! He's super friendly and greeted us when we entered and thanked us for our purchase. He's so knowledgeable about all the various cake donuts. It takes about 2 minutes to make fresh donuts and they are decorated immediately. I ate them right away as they are so addictive and tasty. Interior of the store is quite fun. Various types of ducks and even mini ducks for purchase. It was fun chatting with Peyton and he remembered me from a few months ago. He made a special salty grandma donut that wasn't on the menu and it was quite delicious. I'll be sure to request it next time he's at the store. Overall great experience and will definitely come back again soon. Would totally give 10 stars for Peyton! read more

This place is a little hidden, but once you see it, it is full of personality! This place has a fun bright vibe to it! The employees were all super friendly. It was minutes away from closing, but they did not make me feel rushed at all! They were sweet attentive and gave wonderful suggestions when I wasn't quite sure what to get! The doughnuts were all wonderful! They are made fresh to order which is not very common. These doughnuts are a cake style doughnut which usually aren't my favorite. This place had good reviews so I thought I would still try it out. The reviews are all true! The cake wasn't too dense, which surprised me. The bread itself was delicious even by itself. We bought about seven different flavors and they were all unique and different. My favorite was the coffee cake style. There is a flavor for literally everyone. Since there are so many flavors you are able to pick the sweetness level and flavor profile you are in the mood for! My family was quite happy with these doughnuts! This is the only place in town to get hot fresh donuts that are custom made. Everything is so good and fresh. The service is always exceptional and we paid a visit on 4/11/25, Friday and got served by Peyton. He was extremely helpful and very pleasant to deal with. Once we ordered our 1/2 dozen, he went to work and quickly made our donuts. This visit and experience was 10 out of 10 thanks to him. read more

Was craving something sweet and chanced upon donuts on Yelp. Parking is decent in the plaza - note it's in the corner next to the food hall area. There were two employees when I walked in and they were super nice. The menu can be overwhelming since they have a ton of choices, but I settled for a variety of flavors. Note these are basically cake donuts so quite dense. They make each donut to order so it is HOT and fresh! The flavors are delicious, though they can be overly sweet. I had to update this review because it wasn't very fair. This place is an excellent concept. The donuts take a bit of time to get because they're freshly made per order. The staff is friendly when I arrived. It was a quiet early weekend, so I was pretty much in and out. I don't see how this location would be very good on a busy day. It would take too long to find a parking garage spot and get your order if there was a line of people. Buyer beware. Not real donuts. But they are sugary and delicious. read more

My absolute favorite donut shop! These are made to order, super soft and super sweet! They did just increase their prices slightly, but if you order a half dozen, or full dozen, it comes out cheaper per donut. I purchased a half dozen today and it was only $17! They just came out with a new limited time line of Cotton Candy donuts, so I had to try one. I went with the Cotton Candy Swirl, and it's not overly sweet like I was expecting. It's really good, and is really sweet, but it's not too much. At least not for me. I also had to get my favorite Blueberry Pancake. I always have to get that one! read more

The best part about it ....is eating it right away while it is warm. When I bite into my donut, I can taste campfire flavors ...haha. It was so soft and so delicious. They also offer ice cream and different type drinks as well. Ambiance is very cute. You can purchase coffee mugs and even little duckies! So many flavors, I couldn't decide. The staff here are always upbeat and very helpful. This spot is also open for basically the entirety of the day, so you can get your donut fix at any time. If you're short on time, it's a good idea to order online, because they actually make the donuts to order for you. You can technically customize each donut you get, or just select from the preset flavors they already have; you can't go wrong with either. I like any of their chocolate flavors, and the ones with lemon or strawberry icing are good too. They have different seasonal flavors as well, so their menu is constantly updating. read more

Great spot if you want fresh cooked warm donuts. They're a little on the sweeter side though. The Oreo donut was more moist than the one with apple pie. Overall I'd go if I was nearby but wouldn't go out of my way. Take it to go and sit outside in the covered eating area next door. read more

The cashier told us the credit card machine wasn't working, so the only payment options were cash or sending a Zelle payment directly to the owner. There was a small handwritten sticky note with an individual's name and phone number for the Zelle payment, which felt a bit odd. To be fair, there wasn't a large selection available when we visited, so it's possible they have other pastries or desserts that are much better than what we tried. However, based on our experience, the item we purchased was disappointing, and the $12 definitely didn't feel well spent. On the positive side, the décor and overall aesthetic were lovely and were probably the bakery's strongest feature. But as the saying goes, you can't judge a book by its cover... and you can't judge a bakery by its ambience either.

Definitely something you have to eat immediately or the texture will not be optimal or it might get soggy. We got the tiramisu croffle and they toasted it and put it together for us there. The lady working there packed it up nicely in a to go box and we got some cookies (regular ones and almond crisp ones). It's a bit sweet, but they're dessert pastries so that makes sense. Goes great with a brewed cup of tea. Croffle had a nice semi-chewy texture and the tiramisu flavor added a bit of a coffee taste to it. Good balance of the cream and croffle. The cookie wasn't too bad either. Overall not a bad to go dessert spot.

I got a donut as you know only buy 1 item at a new place, why throw money away in case you don't like the product? I got a cinn sugar they had to add maple glaze to get the bacon to stick? Well on the first bite, it was not what I expected it was pretty awful. The so called glazed crumbled off the donut and left me with awful weird bacon taste? I also felt my donut was under cooked this really made me mad. I took 2 small bites on the second one it tasted like under cooked dough it was pretty bad, so happy I ordered only one. They also had on the site if you quack when they repeat your order you would get a free donut. This was suppose to be a hack that only few knew about so we were ready to look stupid and quack......lol They never repeated the order they were like almost, what do you want? They were not friendly and they were not busy we were the only customer's in the shop? I don't see going back and them being around too long. This must be the new thing custom donuts while you wait, this is not the originator of this concept. I really enjoy the donut shop we went to that also makes custom donuts while you wait not only is the Owner on site always he is very nice. My day started with my company ordering a delicious array of donuts for the office, but as I'm allergic to dairy, I couldn't partake in the feast. The temptation was too much to bear, so I decided to call the store and inquire about dairy-free options. Peyton, the wonderful staff member who answered the phone, went above and beyond. But he warned, you will miss out on all the fun. Duck Donuts also has a plethora, yes I said that word, of flavors to choose from and you can customize each one to your liking. I have always loved this donut shop and usually have great experiences here. The regular employees on Fridays are friendly, helpful, and one of the reasons I keep coming back. However, I had a disappointing experience on Sunday morning What upset me even more was that I observed Maria R touch her chest before serving ice cream and I did not see her wash or sanitize her hands afterward. This made me concerned about food handling and cleanliness. I had to cancel my order with the girl that is usually there on Sunday and very polite I want to be clear that this review is not about the other employees. The regular staff members I usually see always been kind and professional. My issue is specifically with this experience and the way she just walked out with a box of donuts and ice cream. They make your donuts FRESH. They customize to how you want it. And if you check-in on yelp for your first time you get 10% off!! I got a cinnamon sugar donut with bacon topping and it came out to $2.25. It was a little pricey but the flavor and freshness is worth it. They have safe social distancing measures and a plexiglass screen up between you and the cashier and they will slide your box of delicious donut under the screen once it's ready so you know you're getting safe service. Really fun concept. These donuts are definitely for the experience- you get to pick your own specialty base, toppings, and drizzles, and you can really put a lot on there- that's why for a donut it's a little pricey. If you want boring regular donuts you can go somewhere else for a cheap dozen, if you want a nice treat after dinner enjoy this place. Cashiers are also very kind, especially Elizabeth, who has helped us out a few times. She recommended the blueberry drizzle to me and now it's my favorite, I grab one whenever I'm in the area. read more

I had always heard how great Duck Donuts was, but never truly knew until I tried it myself! These donuts are absolutely the best I've ever had! The service and staff were friendly and helpful, recommending some of their most popular ones, though they all looked just as delicious. I got a few with chocolate frosting, some with filling, and a few apple ones. Each one was so delicious, especially the cream ones, with sweet, rich, and creamy fillings. Came here to pick up some vegan donuts. This was my first time here. Walked in to a super rude couple giving the young lady at the register a hard time over a delivery order messed up my Google. The review isn't based on the donuts as I am waiting for my order. Side bar, donuts are customizable and made to order!! Fresh donuts custom made to order? Enough said. There's so many options to choose from to make the perfect donut for your tastebuds. I'm a sucker for maple glazed donuts and the amount of toppings I can choose to amplify/compliment that maple glaze flavor is just great. I've heard about duck donuts before from family and their photos of the donuts just looks outstanding. Always a crowd pleaser at any event. Checking out Duck Donuts for the first time at the recommendation from a friend from the east coast. And safe to say I'm glad they're now in Irvine, CA. The blueberry pancake and the boardwalk donut are amazing and something about waiting for them to make it helps it feel that much more special. Please check them out if you're in town.
