I would love to come back here the next time I am in RI because everything I tried was delightful. The menu is small but everything listed looked wonderful. They make their own pasta, which makes pasta taste that much better. The drinks were fall themed and tasted great. The dessert menu looked as though it would have been amazing but that will have to be saved for next time. The service was great and the space was cozy. Last night was our 3rd visit to Duck Press. A little hiccup started the evening due to they wanted to have both my wife and I to order their Valentines price fixe menu, I wanted the the Valentines menu but problem was my wife could not eat much of it. I requested the manager/owner and after explaining he let us order what we wanted. Problem fixed! Food was top notch as always, our waiter was fantastic and best we have had. I would highly recommend Duck Press. To the person who rated this restaurant as 1 because of Uber Eats - you can't rate food quality when it relies on delivery. Love this place for date night! My husband is French (aka extremely picky and discerning when it comes to food) and this is one of the only restaurants in the area we continue to come back to again and again. Great service -- we once showed up on a busy night without a reservation and they truly did everything to squeeze us in with only about a 10 minute wait. Our only request would be that they update their menu a bit more frequently. It's a very small one (which we LOVE), but when you go as often as we do, you run out of options somewhat quickly. Me and my mother were looking for a place to try while we went for our jazz festival adventure. The food was very delicious, I was impressed with how fresh the tomatoes are and the burrata as well. The clam chowder was one of the best I have ever had, it was very flavorful and delicious. The duck was very tender, I was impressed as I'm used to duck being dry & to top it off the gnocchi was phenomenal. The peach's sweetness with it was delightful and the brown butter with the pesto mixed so well with the gnocchi it was my favorite. The ice cream was very delicious as well and the chocolate mousse was me and my mom's favorite. Coffee was good, and the service was great, we received our food very quickly and the staff is very respectful. If we ever comeback to Rhode Island for the festival again this is the spot I will be going with all my other family members. Highly recommended. read more

Sat at the bar and ordered s couple of special appetizers. Great service at the bar with good descriptions of the special small plates. When I heard that there was a rib special, I went for it because a waiter had told us that the chef or owner does his own barbecuing out back. Maybe it was an off night, but the spare rib special included four very salty and chewy ribs--think jerky--with hoisin sauce and excellent cole slaw. The ribs were either overcooked or repurposed from earlier in the week. The only moisture came from the hoisin. The pork belly and clam special was much better with a sizeable helping of broccoli rabe in a light creamy sauce--delicious. Service here is consistently excellent, the pastas & sauces are delicious, but I don't think I'll order the ribs here again without getting assurances from the waiter that they're juicy and falling off the bone. read more

My mom and I actually planned to go to another restaurant nearby, but was told it would be an almost 2 hour wait. We decided to try our luck down the block, and it was definitely fate intervening to set us up with an amazing meal! Everything was absolutely delicious, service was amazing, and the whole vibe of the place is just really nice and upscale cozy. We each had a pasta dish that was insane, and the Spiced Pear Martini and the Fig & Haze were two of the best cocktails I've ever had. We were in South County for Mother's Day and my mom didn't want to get a reservation ahead of time. We stumbled across this gem and everyone loved their meals. The server, Garret, was awesome! Super personable, hardworking, attentive, and on top of things. The meat in my ramen was the best meat I've ever had in a ramen dish. I feel like the meat is usually almost an afterthought, but not here. The cauliflower dish was perfect with the butternut squash hummus. We ate every last bite of the shaved brussel sprouts salad and the arugula, beat, and goat cheese salad. My dad got the scallop and shrimp tortellini. He thought the shrimp and scallops were going to be on top of the tortellini, but they were actually the tortellini filling. He said it was really good, but as a large man, he wished the dish was a little bigger. The atmosphere is clean, cute, and comfy. Overall, I'd say we lucked out by just happening on this place and getting in without a reservation. We will definitely be back this summer when we are in the area more frequently going to the beach! read more

After a ferry ride over and back to Block Island, our new hotel is in South Kingstown off of Tower Hill Road. Not knowing the area at all, we used our Google search to find a restaurant that we thought we'd enjoy. Duck Press was our choice. I checked on line to see when the earliest reservation would be available. 8:00 was the earliest even though it was only about 6:30 when I checked. Instead we thought we'd just show up and see what they might be able to do. We showed up around 7:00 pm, and within minutes were seated. Great! We ordered a drink and we're taken care by Jim who explained the menu plus a couple of specials. My wife had the oysters to start and I had the Brussels sprouts. Both were delicious. We each had the scallop carbonara pasta dish. It was truly excellent. Even though I was kind of full, I ordered one scoop of the maple ice cream. Not sure it was really maple, but it was very good. We were really impressed with this restaurant. Good environment. Great service. People enjoying themselves. We made a great choice! read more

I hate when bartenders are lazy with the cocktail shaker. I could hear the bartender from across the room giving it a good vigorous shake. Thank you! Husband said his clam chowder was fantastic and our oysters Rockefeller were some of the best we've ever had. A generous 6 oysters come with the order. Not at all heavy on cream and cheese and loaded with flavor. My black bass entree was so delicious. Two nice filets were perfectly seared and on a delicious potato purée with a few shelled mussels for even more flavor. The sauce was spectacular. We were too stuffed for dessert, but the dessert menu sure looked creative and tempting. Just one minor criticism. Waitstaff, PLEASE do not wear heavy (or any, really) perfume! FANTASTIC! After being turned away at Purslane (they were having a private event) I spotted this place from across the street, read the menu, whispered f#%k yes and walked in. Beautiful old cafe style ambiance with dark wood and dim lighting. SUPER nice waitress that was patient, and gave great suggestions! All the drinks we ordered were perfect and I had the best clam chowder I've ever had (it had GNOCCHI!!) this is only the second restaurant I've ever been to that had grilled calamari (which was local, yay!) it was tender and I loved the char. The short rib was cooked perfectly and that elote style polenta... wow. I'll definitely be back the next time I'm in town! read more

We came here at the recommendation of a family friend. So glad we did! We had a great time. Gotta love a place that has ample parking in back of building for it's patrons. Service was top notch. Loved the decor of the place. It was pretty busy but it did not feel like it. Our server was attentive and made sure we were taken cared of. The food was delicious and so filling. This would be a 5 star review easily if the scallop dish that cost me $32 took more than 3 minutes to consume and I didn't have to go to Burger King after cuz I was still hungry! 3 scallops were big, 2 were like bay scallops size and 1 was a crumb. Literally. The food was absolutely Delicious and the butternut squash was outstanding. Beautiful place too! Highly recommend to check it out. Mayeb the other dishes will fill you up. If I go back and have another yummy meal and it fills em up like it should for that price I would easily make this a 5. But for having to go order a whopper to finish the job that my scallops and beer did not, i hate to leave a 4 but it's a must. $32 plate should fill me up. And I'm only 170 pounds! Lol. Took the "long drive" (by RI standards) from East Greenwich to Wakefield a few weeks back to check this place out. Our favorite bartender Kelli recently moved to Duck Press - so we had to check it out. Funny enough - we ran into several other people who were there to see her new post too! Bias aside - the place was unique and great! It is not just another iteration of "The Old Fat Belly's" that used to be there. It's fresh new look pairs well with their current menu and is a breath of fresh air in Wakefield. We HAD to try the duck - which was amazing! There are several reasons we love Duck Press: the food is excellent - not only is the quality and execution high level, it's also really important that the restaurant mixes up their menu and has great specials. Duck Press delivers on both and we always enjoy trying the latest options. As much as we enjoy the food, what keeps us coming back every week is their fantastic bar and most importantly their great bartender Sarah! I have a favorite cocktail that she has perfected. What a cute place...It was amazing... from the minute we walked in the hostess was so sweet and helpful to the waiter who was so kind with his recommendations ... my husband was blown away with the chefs innovated cooking... we had the crab special and the duck Bolognese along with the clam appetizer not only that we ordered dessert... which we never usually do! From the minute we picked up our forks to the moment we put them down every bite was mouth watering my husband said that it was the best meal he has ever had outside of Europe!
