It's obvious to me that they spent a lot of time on the branding of the name and concept. 10 stars in my book. The server's were nice and also helpful. I ordered 2 lemon cupcakes and a slice of the lemon poppyseed cake with buttercream frosting on top. $19+ for said items. The server put them into 2 beautiful boxes and a very nice bag. "Price 3 stars, boxes 10 stars" SusieCakes does not take cash! "I'm personally not happy about that" I don't want to hear your excuses why you are doing that, I do not and never will like that. That alone is reason enough for me not to go back. I had a slice of the lemon poppyseed cake at room temp per instructions with a glass of milk. I felt like the buttercream tasted like every other buttercream, nothing special. The lemon filling in between the slices was also just ok but the combination of the lemon filling and buttercream made the slice of cake very, very sweet, did I say sweet? I mean way way way too sweet. (And I love sweet) it just ruined the flavor of the cake, as in I could not taste the cake at all. 2 stars The lemon cupcake was better than the lemon poppyseed cake, still very sweet but not like the lemon poppyseed "I could taste the cake a little better but the icing still overwhelmed the flavors of the cake. 3 stars

I guess I missed the note on their website that says you need to order vegan or gluten free cupcakes two days in advance. It was nice that they had red velvet but it seems like it's the go-to choice for most places, which makes it hard not to judge against other cupcakes. It was very good, the cake was moist, and I enjoyed the frosting. But it didn't quite measure up to my favorite vegan red velvet cupcake from Sprinkles. The shop is so cute and there's a good amount of parking. I went on a day when there were two people working, and they were both super nice. I thought the male worker was a bit more helpful, but they were both kind. I'd love to see more than one vegan option on the consistent in-store menu, rather than needing to order ahead.

My Asian tastebuds found 3 of the 4 to be too sweet. Burnt almond: 4.5/5. Moist, not too sweet, great flavor, the crunchiness of the almond mixture coating the frosting was a great touch. Only complaint is that the frosting texture was a touch too oily/buttery and dense, it felt like I was eating a solid chunk of sweetened whipped butter. Taste was great tho. 24 Carrot: 4/5. Perfectly spiced, fluffy frosting complemented the cake perfectly, it was just too sweet for me. Lemon cake with lemon buttercream: 4/5. Lemon flavor was very subtle and mild, could've been stronger. Also: too sweet. Coffee toffee crunch: 4.5/5. Too sweet, but the frosting and crunch were sooo good! Incredible coffee flavor. I would come here again if I needed cupcakes for an event. These were top notch, for American cupcakes.

I filled out the form on their website a couple of weeks before my husband birthday, and noticed that their prices had increased recently. The regular 6" black sesame blueberry hojicha cost $55. Megan responded in email within 2 days as expected. Her payment instructions were very clear, and we agreed to meet at their designated community park at 10am on Sunday. (They would also do delivery with an additional cost.) An hour before our meeting time, she sent a text with the make/model/color of their car, as well as, some dessert care instructions. They arrived on time. The cake was carefully packaged and included a "Happy Birthday" paper topper. The cake was really good. It was fresh and airy; the black sesame taste really stood out; the blueberry jam was delicious and not too sweet; the hojicha fresh cream was light and flavorful. While we all really enjoyed the cake, it's very pricey, and it's a 20-min drive from home to pick it up at one of the two time choices.

I am so happy we went there. Entering the spot, it is a welcoming atmosphere. As soon as we entered, we were greeted and the servers were eager to serve. It was our first time so we did ask for recommendations. My wife got a matcha and I got the "A-Aron" for it's popularity and its comedic nostalgia to a Key and Peele skit. We also ordered a few pastries and some breakfast sandwiches. The corner cafe is small but it gives a lot to look at for people like my wife and I. Not only did we leave with food and drink, we picked up some stickers, coffee beans, and lots of photos and ideas. We absolutely enjoyed our time there and the food was amazing. Indeed, the A-aron was a HIT and I look forward to the next time we are in town!

Not sure if I just ordered the wrong things, but it was okay. I've had worse, but I've also had better. I ordered one of their specialty drinks, the horchata matcha. I think the horchata base was a bit overpowering so you can't really taste the matcha, but it at least gave me my caffeine kick still. I also ordered the bacon, egg and cheese bagel on an Asiago bagel. This was also okay. Not much bacon and the egg was rubbery like it was premade then reheated. I can't say much about the service since we ordered from a kiosk but they seemed to be working fast and efficient.
