Great small sports bar in Coral Gables. Best part is that they have two happy hours, the second of which being from 11PM-1AM (Closing). During the happy hour they have two for one on any draft beers which is excellent. The decor is like an alcoholic TGIFridays, they have a bunch of bottles on the ceiling and a bunch of other cool stuff hanging around to look at. They have some video games in a side room also. The bathroom was pretty cool and wall to wall license plates. This place is worth checking out for sure. read more

Love this place! Ive been coming here for over 25 years and very little has changed. If you like spicy try the death dog. My favorite! I happen to also love the cole slaw and the chili . Absolutely disgusting!! I ordered the ribs and they were terrible. They came out with hard bbq sauce on top, it very chewy and tasteless. Tasted microwaved, 10 minuets after eating them I start to projectile vomit for 30 minutes. Not the chefs fault. read more

Man we love Duffy's Tavern, I love that we are able to at still have a business like Duffy's still standing because it is a huge part of this towns history. Every single inch is covered in vintage sports memorabilia, photos and newspaper clippings. They have multiple events throughout the month and I love to go during St. Patty's for the green beer and fantastic food. This past Sunday we rented out their private room for my sister-in-law's birthday celebration and the owner Wayne "the Payne" and his staff outdid themselves. They decorated the room for a birthday and made two signs tailored to my sister-in-law's birthday which was great. The service was beyond outstanding our server Jeff was really respectful and helpful especially dealing with a group of close to 18 people. The food runners were coming in one after another brining in drinks and food to make sure everything was either hot or cold. My girlfriend, her sisters and I started off with buffalo bites and fish dip which was delicious. The fish dip was perfect and the buffalo bites were crispy in the outside and tender in the inside. For dinner I ate a juicy Duffy's best cheeseburger and I must say it was perfect to compliment the 3 to 4 pitchers of beers we consumed. The ambiance is like no other, the service is very good and the prices are even better, I would highly suggest the ORIGINAL Duffy's Tavern to everyone and anyone! read more

They don't tell you until you get the bill it's a cash only place. Such a scam! Then want you to use their atm. Service isn't terrible and food is typical bar food also not terrible- *they should tell you before you order or have a visible sign on the front door telling you this. This Literally made me so upset after eating -which is bad for digestion. We were surprised when The guy turned a small sign on the table around that was facing away from us the whole entire meal that said "cash only or wash the dishes" and said see we told you. I get it; this may have been funny at some point but in these times it was just rude service and poor general business practice for a restaurant. Who carries tat much cash with them?? Im imagining uncle Sam isn't getting any of it. I'm sure is why this is cash only place. This experience was literally one of the strangest and unsavory moments I've had at a restaurant. Duffy's is great! My great uncle (85 years old) used to go here back when he was younger and working customs at the airport in the late 50's. he hasn't been back in 18 years and we walk in and he knows people working and visiting there! warm and welcoming atmosphere. Monday's don't always have to be boring. At Duffy's , Monday nights equals $6.00 burgers due to the "Stimulus Monday" special. Want to have a drink and a bite in a bar-like setting that's family friendly with great food and a full at? Come on over! I like a great low key spot where I can get a hearty meal and a drink without blowing my cover and breaking the bank. It's CASH ONLY but they have an ATM on premises. The outdoor area with picnic tables is a great spot to just chill, vibe, smoke a cigarette, and talk smack with the locals. There's a set amount of parking spots so if you're coming during the time of a rushed crowd, just be patient-a spot will open up for you. There's additional parking if you turn left when you drive in. The food is great and at that price, I just might start cooking less during the week. Plus, on Wednesday's kids eat free so it's a nice treat for the kids. Everyone is really friendly and chill-it's the perfect ambience for a pub bordering the Gables yet still loyal to the 33155. Great little bar. The owner works at the bar and so does his family. It's a family owned business, their burgers are AMAZING! Their drinks are affordable and they do use "top shelf" liquor for their drinks (i.e jack etc..) I also love their Salmon and Steak dinners. Some of their soups are good such as the tomato basil, baked potato, clam chowder and chili. You want to go to a place where u feel at home, this is the place to be, they may not remember your name but definitely will remember your drink! Went to this nice little bar for a late lunch while staying over in Miami. We were immediately greeted with smiles and hellos from the staff. As soon as we sat down our waitress was attentive to our orders, and even expedited the kids meals, so the hungry boys could eat. The Mrs and I ordered the Buffalo Bites for an appetizer, which came out piping hot with nice chunky blue cheese dipping sauce. Yum! The Mrs ordered the Mushroom Burger with Chili Cheese Fries and I had a Turkey Club. Both were quickly served and tasted delicious. The wait staff checked on us often as made sure our drinks were filled and our meals tasted good. The fried shrimp was over fried, but served hot as requested. The Mushroom cheese burger was a bigger disappointment. The cheese was not melted, even a little, and the mushrooms were left off. Yay its Monday! Came back again for the 4th consecutive Monday! The best thing about Mondays is $5 burgers. Thanks Duffy, after a long Monday workday for you to offer this deal. The burgers are big and tasty and the buffalo chicken nuggets are really good. My friend loves the blue cheese dressing and drinks it out of the little cup. I love Duffy's. This is the type of place where you can come hang out and be at peace when you're just not having a great day or do not feel at your best. Duffy's has a cozy, relaxing, warm atmosphere. The staff, though only 1 guy speaks english, is friendly and the service is quick. At most places in Miami, servers will avoid servicing you for making them speak english. Not at Duffy's though, the servers here put forth a good effort to speak english and they are on top of your service needs. There's a $2 beer of the day, everyday. There's also 2 for 1 drinks from 4pm to 5pm and also from 11pm till 1am everyday. The food, although your typical bar food (burgers, wings, etc...), is good, tasty, and very affordable. I tend to visit Duffy's everytime I'm near it. I would visit it a lot more if I lived in the area. read more

This place is pretty awesome. Everyone here knows us after second time. When we come in they know I drink Guinness and my boyfriend drinks blue moon. Its a chill vibe, kind of a hidden(yet known)gem. I absolutely love this bar! Traditional dive slot in every positive way. Beers are cheap and a varied selection. Food is great and pretty cheap also. Yes, cash only but just a minor details. Every time I go the bartenders have been more than friendly with me and my friends. Always feel comfortable there. Decorations are cool too - Ceiling is covered with empty beer bottles and bathrooms have license plates on the walls. Couldn't recommend a cooler place to chill on a tight budget! read more

Extremely small portions for the price, bad service . Had chicken tenders also and only got 3 pieces. I started going to Duffy's as a kid. I'd walk over with my dad for lunch or dinner. Twenty-some years later, it's still the perfect place to meet up with friends and family for food and/or a drink. They have plenty of tv's, and they carry all major sporting events. They have daily beer specials and a decent selection of beer. They have better than average bar food, and a great fish sandwich (blackened or fried, you can't go wrong). The jukebox plays good music and the service is quick and friendly. On NFL Sundays, there's no better place to be. If you're a fan of an out of town team, get there a little early and ask for your game (first come, first serve). They don't take credit cards, but they do have an ATM on site. If I could improve one thing, it would be to add some craft beers to the drink menu. A true neighborhood bar; cozy and small. I've been coming to Duffys since I was a young kid. The atmosphere is family friendly and we love the way its decorated. An array of different beers- most youve never heard of hang from the ceiling. The bathroom walls are filled with the locals liscence plates. The food is delicous and ESPECIALLY for the price! Duffy's Tavern has been a Miami staple since the mid 50's when Marty Duffy was the proprietor. It has that home town bar feel, similar to what was portrayed in the TV show Cheers. Many a picture hangs on the wall of all the patrons over the many decades that have enjoy the place. It was the favorite hangout of many a working man whether it be a construction worker, cop, firefighter, etc. Over time college kids from the U discovered it being right down the road, and still frequent it to this day. It is also a family restaurant where parents will bring groups of kids to the dining area on the weekends, whether it be from baseball or basketball games. Duffy's was a fairly small bar with limited parking, but has expanded over the years, and now has additional parking and seating. They also have a separate room for small private events, and even outdoor seating. The beer is always fresh and cold, and there is a full liquor bar serviced by Jimmy, who does a great job and knows how to do a proper Guinness pour. One of the best kept secrets is the food at Duffy's. They have fresh fish, wonderful pork chops, and the list goes on and on. My personal favorite is their Ruben on rye. I am very particular about fat, and their Ruben is as lean as it comes. They also give you a choice of regular or sweet potato fries which are always done just right. Their burgers are great, and when they have the roast beef sandwich special, you cannot go wrong ordering it. There are plenty of TV's so you don't miss any of the games, yet you don't feel as if you are in one of the soulless chains. Duffy's Tavern has character that is a welcome change. They are old school, and only accept cash, but have an ATM inside, so no worries there. Jimmy Sr & Wayne are the owners, and Wayne is there most of the time to make sure everything is tip top. Ever have something not to your liking, just seek him out, and he makes it right. I should know, as I have been coming there since I was a kid. I'm a foodie and enjoy dining out often. Today's lunch experience trying out this place was very disappointing. I ordered the fish and chips which was over fried and my grandma had the salmon with baked potato. The salmon wasn't fully cooked in the center and baked potato was dry and tasted old.
