    Buffet first plate!

When I went, it was $18 for all you can eat buffet, lots of open seating, lots of variety of foods, sweet tea and soft drinks available. The cashier was very nice. I didn't have to wait at all. I liked that there were different stations where you can get BBQ sauces, sweet tea, and utensils so you didn't have to wait in line for anything. I went back to get dessert. My fave was peach cobbler.

We stopped here on our way back to Florida. Cool little spot with "down home decor". You walk up and pay for your meal then take a plate and grab a cup for your drink. The buffet had "hash" which seemed to be a popular meat mixture, all the veggies including real collard greens. The corn nuggets and different bbq sauces were a cool addition. The Mac n cheese was fried, died, and laid to the side, but the fried chicken was great. No salad bar. Around $14 pp. friendly staff, and good place to grab Lunch.

Kids just enjoyed some homemade chips & macaroni and cheese.

It's been 35 years since I've eaten at a Duke's BBQ. Know how they say don't go back because it's never as good as you remember it?? They're wrong! $12 buffet. All items fresh and ready to eat. I did pulled pork, okra, corn fritters,, rice with hash,, collards and Mac. There were sooo many Morris options though. I could make 3 runs with full plates and not exhaust my side item options. I ate in moderation though. Hope you enjoy this place as much as I did!

Hello, what are your hours and days you offer the buffet and is there a salad bar and desert? Is it $16 per person 14 to 61 years old? Thanks.

We walked into Georgia Comfort…read moreKitchen off I-95 on one of those gray, damp Georgia afternoons, and from the first bowl of gumbo, the weather outside stopped mattering entirely. We ordered off the menu rather than the buffet -- though both were available and the buffet looked well-stocked and genuinely tempting. My husband had the Shrimp & Grits: Georgia shrimp over stone-ground grits with andouille sausage, peppers, onions, bacon, and a sherry cream sauce. Rumor had it that was the move, and the rumor was right. The grits alone were the kind you don't stop talking about -- velvety, deeply seasoned, the kind of base that makes everything sitting on top of it taste better than it already is. I went with the fried catfish, a side of mac and cheese, and a bowl of gumbo. Honest take: the catfish itself was good -- the fish was fresh and well-flavored -- but the batter had gone a little soggy, which kept it from landing where it could have. That's the kind of thing that varies by timing, not kitchen quality. The mac and cheese, though, was exactly what you want: cheesy without being gluey, hot all the way through, properly indulgent. And the gumbo -- chicken and sausage, rich and built with patience -- was the best thing on my side of the table. On a rainy afternoon in coastal Georgia, it was exactly right. Then there was the cornbread, served with peach cobbler butter. That detail alone tells you something about how this kitchen thinks. It's not an afterthought. It completed everything around it. I'm not from the South, and I won't pretend to have a lifetime of comparison points. But there's a kind of food that makes you feel like you were born into it anyway -- like your body already knew what it was tasting. That's what happened here. Good for road trippers, families, rainy days, and anyone who needs a real meal after a long stretch of highway. Four stars, with the grits alone pulling hard toward four and a half.

And it was the chicken was cooked to order, came out super hot, and was both crispy and juicy. The greens were super flavorful and needed no added spices. Looking back, we probably should've kept right on walking. We ordered the fried chicken, potato wedges, red rice, New Orleans rice, and cabbage, jalapeno cornbread and pecan cornbread. Unfortunately, the only things we actually enjoyed were the fried chicken and the potato wedges. Once again, it was an epic fail. The cabbage tasted like it had been boiled in plain water with absolutely no seasoning. Both the red rice and the New Orleans rice reminded us of Minute Rice or Uncle Ben's microwavable rice--bland, lacking flavor, and nothing like the rich, seasoned rice dishes we were expecting. The fried chicken was crispy, juicy, and well-seasoned, and the potato wedges were cooked perfectly, but those two items weren't enough to save the meal. We came hoping for authentic Southern comfort food, but left disappointed. Sadly, this is one restaurant we won't be adding to our list of places to revisit.

If you do not know the address you will drive past it. I ended up parking a block from the restaurant as parking was pretty limited . It is a very cozy restaurant that seats about 30 patrons total. I did not see any single seating or a bar. I ordered pork chops, dressing, and white rice from the daily menu. Service was very quick, and I noticed everyone received their order within about 5 minutes. This included dine-in and carry-out customers. The dressing was the best I've tasted in a while. The pork chops had a nice seasoned, slightly spicy crust with tender meat. My take-out order was still hot when I was able to eat it about fifteen minutes later. I will come back for future visit and recommend this place if you enjoy soul food.

I also ordered Chicken and Dumplings, and I was unaware of how large a serving it would be until it arrived at the table. It was also delicious and the best I've ever eaten, actually. The banana pudding was creamy decadence, but was a bit short on the cookies and banana slices. Customers order and pay at the counter and then seat themselves at a table. It doesn't feel corporate or manufactured at all. More like you've stumbled into somebody's lovingly chaotic backyard dinner party where the food just happens to be genuinely top-tier. The mismatched charm, handwritten feel, and warm atmosphere are part of what makes it so special. There's this brilliant contrast between the laid-back hole-in-the-wall vibe and the seriously refined cooking coming out of the kitchen. We started with the fried green tomatoes which were incredibly tender, fried perfectly, and drizzled with a lovely house-made ranch. The sweet house pickles alongside were such a good touch. We also each had a cup of she crab soup which was beautifully seasoned and packed with tonnes of crab morsels. For mains, we shared the shrimp and grits and completely understood why the recipe has won awards, including being recognised as the 3rd best in the world. The recipe is rooted in traditional Lowcountry cooking but elevated with layers of flavour that somehow still feel comforting and homemade. The grits were unbelievably creamy, and the shrimp and sausage were perfectly cooked with fantastic flavour throughout. We also split the seafood purloo with blackened grouper, and it was equally impressive. Everything was cooked perfectly and tasted incredibly fresh without trying too hard to be fancy. What really made the experience though was the staff. Everyone went above and beyond. They took time to chat with us about the area, paced the courses perfectly so nothing felt rushed, and by the end we were leaving with handshakes feeling more like guests than customers. Places like this are getting harder to find. We'll absolutely be back and would recommend it to anyone looking for authentic Lowcountry food served by genuinely wonderful people.
